Re: [CGUYS] Palm Does About as Well as It Could

I've always liked when it is slid open you can use the edge to cut your
steak at dinner...

Kidding aside, palm needed to wow users, their current designs feel old, the
phones feel like toys..sort of like the htc magic. Put webos on an htc
incredible and you've got something to write home about. Hopefully between
HP and Palm, new phones will arrive sometime next year.

So far I am very happy with my Palm Pre.

Nicely done, nice hardware and easy to use.

Could use a few more apps, it would be nice to have a decent IM program.

I have not paid for one app yet, an have a decent group of them that are
useful.

The free hotspot app and usage (Verizon dropped the fee for using it.) makes
this very handy.

I even have an app that will help me keep track of gasoline usage and lets
me know very quickly mileage etc.

Granted it does not have as many apps as the Iphone (no kidding) but again I
have mostly what I need.

My old Palm Tungsten still keeps on trucking. I never took a Pre out for a
spin.

Any opinions?
