Re: monitoring builds
Thank you ! However, I looked at the changes from 1.0.3 to 1.1-alpha1 and it seems this bug might be a problem: http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/CONTINUUM-732 (referred by http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/CONTINUUM-547) Depending when the final version of 1.1 will be released (and when the upgrade documentation will be updated for 1.1 version) I might choose one of the following: 1) wait for 1.1 final 2) try to use the xmlrpc and see if I can supass the problem mentioned above 3) find another method Thank you. Re: monitoring builds
I'm not sure I understand what you are proposing.. Let's say I have a Jabber account and Continuum notifies my Jabber account that a build failed. How would my local application know that Jabber received a message ? Wouldn't that be similar to waiting for new emails ? Hi, Maybe it is an idea to use a IM notification like Jabber. That way you don't have to poll the continuum or your mail. With regards, Nick Stolwijk Ionut S wrote: Hi, I want to implement a system of lava lamps for our continuum server and I need a way to find out when a build was done and the result. Another method would be to have an application that checks the email and see if an email notification arrived (we have email notifications configured, yes). However, this solution doesn't seem very elegant - I would keep it only as the last resort.. Thank you in advance for your advices ! Ionut - Fussy? Opinionated? Impossible to please? Perfect.
