[Cooker] sunet mirror down?
Is something going on with sunet? I either get login incorrect: 530 or operation timed out errors. -- He must increase but I must decrease--- Holiness unto the Lord Name: Brook Humphrey E-Mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] webmaster: thelinuxstop.com webmester: webmedic.net Owner: Mobile PC Medic
RE: [Cooker] gi_hd install
Most everything works, but I can't get linuxconf to work, it complains about certain library not found. 'libesd.so.0' it is in esound. The strange thing is that it didn't get installed! Same goes here, except it's for ALL the GNOME apps, gnome-terminal, panel, etc... seems that all the GNOME (maybe all the gtk?) apps need esound. I never realized that before, that's pretty stupid. We should be able to rpm -ivh that badboy and keep running right? A.Sleep

Don't know how you could get bad ones though :-/ I never realized that before, that's pretty stupid. pablo? esound and audiolib are intertwined, We should be able to rpm -ivh that badboy and keep running right? yep :) -- MandrakeSoft http://www.mandrakesoft.com/ --Axalon
[Cooker] Imap 4.5 fix, new imap 4.7 and mod_php fix.
I have upload: a fixed version of imap-4.5-7mdk so it is possible to compile imap support in to mod_php. mod_php3-3.0.12-4mdk with imap support. (you will need the fixed imap to compile) imap-4.7-mdk1 fixed so you can use it for mandrake (can also be used when compiling mod_php with imap support). Troels Liebe Bentsen.

Yes. I never realized that before, that's pretty stupid. We should be able to rpm -ivh that badboy and keep running right? No, we can't. If the program is compiled with sound support it needs libesd (even if not used). If it isn't compiled with sound then people with a sound card won't be able to enjoy it. A real solution would need a different way of writing the main libs; not link them with libesd; but rather use functiosn to dynamically load shared libs. The problem is that such functions aren't available in all platforms supported by Gnome; and also maybe it is much more complicated to do with autoconf. Re: [Cooker] Minor problems during install
En réponse à Pixel [EMAIL PROTECTED]: paranoid is what asked for : Yes, but even if my password was 10 letters long, it was based on dictionnary word ... After, I tried to install lilo and it wrmed me than my HD is too large.I knew but I tried. It didn't work and after when I select X configuration, it said me that "a lilo error occured". so what can we do? suggestions? Yes, I can't finish X Installation, because every time, I checked "Ok", it said me that I had a Lilo error.

RE: [Cooker] Minor problems during install
I hate to be a pain but I've tried repeatedly to unsubscribe from this list. Can anyone point me to the instructions? I'm obviously missing a step.
