[Cooker] gftp-2.0.15 serious bug
Hi! Since I updated to gftp-2.0.15 it has stopped connecting to other sites (I use passive mode due to set up fireall) and reports insistingly the following error (this happened to me on both my Linux machines). 230 Anonymous user logged in SYST 215 UNIX Type: L8 TYPE I 200 TYPE is now 8-bit binary CWD /pub/unix/linux/distributions/Mandrake-devel/cooker/i586/Mandrake/RPMS 250 OK. Current directory is /pub/unix/linux/Mandrake-devel/cooker/i586/Mandrake/RPMS Failed to create a socket: Address family not supported by protocol Disconnecting from site ftp.club-internet.fr I'd appreciate if someone can explain how to overcome this bug. [Cooker] gftp-gtk and galaxy theme
Hi! It seems like a recent change in the Galaxy theme causes gftp-gtk to break. This is constantly reproduceable on my Linux (x86) box. Whenever I go to gftp's "Edit Bookmarks" menu, I get a floating point exception. Running it under gdb didn't produce much meaningful results other than this: Program received signal SIGFPE, Arithmetic exception. 0x407d8c26 in _init () from /usr/lib/gtk-2.0/2.2.0/engines/libgalaxy.so (gdb) bt #0 0x407d8c26 in _init () from /usr/lib/gtk-2.0/2.2.0/engines/libgalaxy.so #1 0x407dcbc4 in _init () from /usr/lib/gtk-2.0/2.2.0/engines/libgalaxy.so Thanks, Sefer. _ MSN 8 with e-mail virus protection service: 2 months FREE* http://join.msn.com/?page=features/virus
[Cooker] Re: [CHRPM] kernel-2.4.21.3mdk-1-1 where has the ntfs driver gone to?!
Well, this kernel does boot but seems to be missing some vital parts. For example, the ntfs driver is gone, which breaks my Wine and some other stuff I have running on the host. Hmm... not good. Re: [Cooker] Re: [CHRPM] kernel-2.4.21.2mdk-1-1mdk
Definitely same here. Kernel 2421-2 dies with panic during boot, shortly after scanning the IDE devices, and the partial stack trace I get on my screen has some inode functions in it, which makes me believe it's either a problem in the ext2 layer or other lower level ide layers. All previous versions of the kernel worked just fine, so it must be a change done here which causes it to fail (maybe omitting the stack frame pointer wasn't a good idea, perhaps some processes depend on it). Is there a way I could collect the stack trace after I hard-boot my computer when it panics (it happened to me on my Linux laptop)? So I could send you guys some more clues into this.
