A similiar this is happening when I try to run the demo of vmware. the ui on vmware is an awful cream color, but runs. When I try to run the setup wizard.. vmware-wizard I get: Application initialization failed: unknow color name "Black" On Thu, 2002-02-28 at 23:32, Byron Poland wrote: > it doesn't matter, (I bought it a while ago) install 1.0, try to set it > up, doesn't go. run the update script, try to set it up, doesn't go. > (same error). the gui's for the install works fine. > > On Thu, 2002-02-28 at 23:20, Hoyt wrote: > > On Thursday 28 February 2002 10:58 pm, you wrote: > > > don't know if this is a mandrake issue or not. trying to run the > > > crossover plugin setup, and it dies with: > > > > > > unkown color name "Black" > > > (default value for "highlightColor" in widget ".") > > > > > > crossover worked fine with 8.1, It would be good for crossover to to > > > work on 8.2, as it adds some nice features not availble anyother way > > > (quicktime plugin) > > > > > > Are you using Crossover version 1.1? > > > > > > -- > > Hoyt > > > > http://www.maximumhoyt.com > > > > > > > >
Re: [Cooker] codeweavers crossover plugin
it doesn't matter, (I bought it a while ago) install 1.0, try to set it up, doesn't go. run the update script, try to set it up, doesn't go. (same error). the gui's for the install works fine. [Cooker] codeweavers crossover plugin
don't know if this is a mandrake issue or not. trying to run the crossover plugin setup, and it dies with: unkown color name "BlackL (default value for "highlightColor" in widget ".") crossover worked fine with 8.1, It would be good for crossover to to work on 8.2, as it adds some nice features not availble anyother way (quicktime plugin)

I have Mandrake set to the Really +r? Wouldn't +x work? I haven't tried CodeWeavers, but judging from the behaviour of apache, I suspect that this might work too. Re: [Cooker] CodeWeavers CrossOver Plugin
I picked up a CD at LinuxWorld for $20 and it runs QuickTime really well on my system :-), though the advertisements on Apple's sites are choppy when in anything higher than 56k mode (my system is only a dual Pentium I MMX/233, not even a PII, but I have pretty good DSL and it streams fine on my partner's G4 Macintosh off of the same connection). The person at the CodeWeavers booth said that only the 2.2.2 version of Konqueror will properly support the Crossover Plugin and that it's only in CVS. From what I can tell, Cooker only has 2.2.1pre :-(. My brother convinced me to try Mozilla, and it works very well with the Crossover plugin :). Now I'm just waiting for Konqueror 2.2.2... One thing of note: I installed it as a user but had to "chmod o+r /home" for Wine to descend to /home/slawrance/crossover/... I have Mandrake set to the High security level, but I had to make this exception for Wine.. Perhaps that could be patched? Hello, I bought this product and it appears to have all the wine binaries it needs already in its directory structure. Do you plan to have some commercial contracts with codeweaver concerning that point ? Seems to be a very good point for users coming from the "evile empire". But, if you ship this plugins in your commercial pack, you will have to furnish also a workable wine rpm (maybe the one from Codeweavers ). -- Copyleft Faber's prod. 2001 http://perso.wanadoo.fr/linux_wizard/index.html
