And if you're sick of seeing the invalid packager error from rpmlint you
can make a .rpmlintrc file and put this in it:
addFilter("W: .* invalid-packager .*")

You can sign with any adress, not necessary a @mandrake-linux.com one.

You need to upload the source rpm in ftp.mandrake-linux.com/incoming and warn
Lenny. But you don't have to wait it has been officialy integrated to make it
available to rest of the world. Cooker is a good place for such advertisement.

Also, i recommend using rpmproc for helping in these tasks.

[Cooker] Contributing packages (gtranslator, for example)

2002-03-14 Thread Juan Manuel García Molina

Hi all.

I just suscribed yesterday because I'm interested in contributing some
packages to Mandrake.

I wrote Lenny a month ago, but I got no response, so I'll try now in
this list.

I started "working" for Mandrake Linux (translating) two or three years
ago, and I'd like to keep on contributing by packaging software. I have
read the "mdk-rpm howto", and I've followed the steps there. There is
only one thing I can't do: sign my packages (because I dont't have a
"*@mandrakelinux.com" email address).

OK. Now, I've made gtranslator package. I've placed the SRPMS in
ftp://ftp.linux-mandrake.com/incoming/gtranslator-0.40-1mdk.src.rpm.

So, I've two questions:

1. How can I sign my packages (who can give me a *@mandrakelinux.com
redirection)?

2. I need to know who I should write to add this package to contrib.

Thanks for all.

Regards.
