Ok, there was a typo in /etc/security/console.apps/etherape file.
 3mdk should work.

Thanks a lot Daouda.. ;-)

Someone ask how to remove old entries in Lilo, I was going to tell him to use
Control_Center, I clecked in the icon on the desktop and I got 'etherape' (?)

so I went to /usr/X11R6/bin/DrakConf
and tried it directly and got the same application 'etherape' Why?

I checked drakconf.real perl script and didn'r see anything wrong...

rpm -qa |grep etherape
etherape-0.8.2-1mdk

right... I am using: etherape-0.8.2-1mdk
(I'll try etherape-0.8.2-2mdk.)

wherever that is: DrakConf-../../../usr/bin/consolehelper (Unknown Link)
But.. if you call the application directly 'perl drakconf.real it works ;-)
well it starts..

Might this help?

[admin@linux admin]$ drakconf.real
Subroutine _ redefined at /usr/X11R6/bin/drakconf.real line 268.
Subroutine translate redefined at /usr/X11R6/bin/drakconf.real line 273.

Then calls kdesu, login as root and the appl. comes up
