There are a lot of settings in KControl that don't match with reality. It needs to be looked over before 8.0 goes gold. An example, which has been brought up before, is fonts. Linux-Mandrake Cooker-i586 20010409 11:31 I noted numerous qt packages were upgraded and the kdesupport package. Preferences don't appear to be applied for sound starting up with kde and for antialiased fonts. In kcontrol they still appear to be enabled but they are not started. If I disable and enable them again they start working. Not sure how this happens. Con.
