And it still says that same thing. All you need is to have the newest acpi patches and klaptop will display correctly. I don't use mandrake kernel though, so I don't know what's in the acpi. This is the first time I've used ACPI, this system is a Dell INSPIRON 8200 Soo.. I dont know if / how well / or not ACPI works on it. It used to work fin eon my notebook HPXE3 until I upgraded to last kernel and acpid. Battery and AC adpater Ok but not thermal zone? I dont think the program will matter .. when I go into /proc/acpi and run cat on the info for one of the batteries i get present: yes design capacity: 0 mWh last full capacity: 0 mWh battery technology: non-rechargeable design voltage: 0 mV design capacity warning: 0 mWh design capacity low: 0 mWh capacity granularity 1: 0 mWh capacity granularity 2: 0 mWh model number: serial number: battery type: OEM info: and the other files in there either show nothing.. or bogus data

Someone really needs to write some half-decent acpi documentation...(and no, I'm not doing it, because all I know came out of this list). -- adamw
