When testing for the mkinitrd patch I had the same problem. I had
raid0-on-/. (I had the two raid partitions on the same disk FWIW)

same for me but mixed with reiser and ext2, gona to try full raid.

What do you mean with "full raid"? It shoul not be possible to have /boot on
raid device at the actual cooker state, I tried it but I had a kernel panic.
It's a lilo problem of course because system worked perfectly booting from
floppy even with /boot on raid-1...

[Cooker] One last touch to raid-on-/

2001-04-09 Thread sekko

Hi!
Raid on / is working fine here! Just one last touch: when system shuts down,
I get an error "Unmounting root filesystem -- [FAILED]" for it results
busy. I usually correct this problem simply adding some "#" in
/etc/rc.d/init.d/halt: I comment the lines where it says "stopping md
devices". It's right -I suppose- because mr.Kernel auto-unmount raid devices
on shutdown. Anyway it works without errors in that way since mdk-7.0 :)
