ditto. if i experiment with a driver that was meant for anther printer
because i'm trying to get a said feature working with my HL-1240 laser
printer, it'll do this as well.

switching back to the more compatable HP Laserjet II Series solves teh
problem.

you might want to specify which driver your trying to use as well as the
type of printer your using, as this is usually a scenario with using an
inappropriate driver(?)

I have another problem, or is it the same? Printing from a gnome
program a portrait print comes out in landscape, with the margins and
so all wrong.
Printing from kde is just fine.

I have an Epson Color 670.
Using cups and foomatic.

[Cooker] Problems with cups-gimpprint and Canon BJC 6000

2002-01-27 Thread Alexander Feigl

Hi!

I have problems with printing at the moment using cups-gimpprint from Cooker
and a Canon BJC 6000 printer. I updated about Wednesday last week.

The printout seems to have double width or even more - therefore only a part
of the printout fits onto the paper. The height of the printout seems to be
correct.

This problem is specific to Cooker. Can anybody reproduce this?

Alexander

Update to cups-1.1.3-2mdk. No you can add printers. Or use KUPS or
lpadmin to add a printer.

The printerdrake problem looks like a problem which has to be solved by
Francois Pons or Pixel.

[Cooker] Problems with cups

2000-09-20 Thread OS

Hello,

I've just installed

cups-1.1.3-1mdk
cups-drivers-0.3.6-12mdk
qtcups-1.0-7mdk
drakxtools-1.1.5-15mdk

and now I have problems:

printerdrake fails to run with the message:

Can't locate Gtk.pm in @INC (@INC contains: /usr/lib/libDrakX
/usr/lib/perl5/5.6.0/i386-linux /usr/lib/perl5/5.6.0
/usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.6.0/i386-linux /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.6.0
/usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.005 /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl .) at
/usr/lib/libDrakX/my_gtk.pm line 19. BEGIN failed--compilation aborted at
/usr/lib/libDrakX/my_gtk.pm line 19. Compilation failed in require at
/usr/lib/libDrakX/interactive_gtk.pm line 11. BEGIN failed--compilation aborted
at /usr/lib/libDrakX/interactive_gtk.pm line 11. Compilation failed in require
at /usr/lib/libDrakX/interactive.pm line 50.

qtcups displays a yellow triangle in the printer drop down list, the Properties
button is grayed out and the State field says "Unable to retrieve printer
infos".

localhost:631 reports "no printer". Attempts to add a printer are met with the
message "The page contained no data. Try again later, or contact the servers
adminstrator"

What's happening !
