[Cooker] RPM segfaulting

Segmentation fault Still the same after deleting the __* files from /var/lib/rpm. What to do? -- Peter Ruskin, Wrexham, Wales. Registered Linux User No. 219434 ( see http://counter.li.org/ ). I had the same dilemma for a week; The voodoo that worked for me was to use my old rpm3 to --rebuilddb, which seemed to give me partial abilities to install packages. -e'd), sometimes you are able to download an older version, rpm -ivh
--force that one, rpm -e that one, and then rpm -e the bad package. I'm

works, but I have used this technique many times in the past.

I updated my rpm-* packages today and after the update rpm segfaults every time I try to upgrade/install a package. [root@tp RPMS]# rpm -vv -Uh ispell-3.1.20-15mdk.i586.rpm D: == ispell-3.1.20-15mdk.i586.rpm D: Expected size: 128547 = lead(96)+sigs(149)+pad(3)+data(128299) D: Actual size: 128547 Segmentation fault Happens to every RPM I try, but I can query the database and --rebuilddb no problem.
