hi, i'm using full cooker here... rhythmbox doesn't play my mp3 files ogg files work without problems... the same happens with gstreamer's player ( gst-player ).. i don't know if this is a gstreamer problem, because i can play mp3 files from the command line with gst-launch: gst-launch filesrc location=music.mp3 ! mad ! osssink thanks, gabor -- That's life for you, said McDunn.
