He sent several patches, and I tried to make work the last one, but they are work in progress and they don't work (TM), don't work as in the film "They are unable to boot a machine that only has IDE", i.e. my normal test machine. Regardless, a lot of things _do_ need to be updated. Seems cooker has decided instead of being a devel trunk, to let debian-stable (potato) catch up :).
