Not supporting mp3 means that newbies won't use Linux. Yeah especially since RedHat hasn't taken this action yet. Plus the linked website off the RedHat site is less than clear. It only says "MacOS and Windows object libraries" need licensing. Now were they just not mentioning Linux because they don't care about us. Or because they just didn't put it on there. I don't know. So xmms could be installed with only vorbis plugin. But will people use an OS that can't play the mp3 CDs they spent years to fill ? I think mp3 players MUST be present in commercial editions.
