How do I assign a keyshort cut to open KMail, netscape (or indeed any applications)? thanks Yes, you can assign key shortcuts to open any application in Kde2, but you have to compile Kde2 by yourself. In Kmenuedit go to any application and choose Advanced, and there you can do it. hi Regarding menuDrake, If I add a menu entry and Save. Exit menudrake, reload menu drake the new menu entry has gone and never appears on the KDE menu. Kcontrol Look'n'feel Key Bindings - and look at the bottom you can assign keys, but first you have to mark action in Key Bindings window. I know that is there as I said in original email. I have also Mandrake 7.2. I know there is the key binding configuration in Control Centre, but this only provides you with predefined shortkey functions and doesn't allow you to add your own.
