Already written down on my todo. Should be in 8.1 if no major issue

And pptp as well? some isp uses pptp.

Not a priority, but if necessary.

partition...slick- never even had to change disks and it took...gulp...10
minutes!

Please note that this feature has an important limitation: it can install
only from the first ISO. Packages from any subsequent ISO's will not be
 available during install.

This feature is provided with Linux-Mandrake since version 7.2.

That's a really nice feature and all but I had the unhappy privilidge of
finding out that it will still list packages from the second CD in the
package choosing screen. It will let you select them but when you go to
install it will get to those packages and it will say something like "error
installing package -- [continue] [ignore]" it would be really nice if
it would let you either a) use the second CD or b) not show the packages it
can't install

BTW, was roaring penguins pppoe included in the distro? Just curious

Dunno.

Do a search for cdmage in google

You can extract the iso's to your HD and install from there.

CDmage is freeware and is a godsend for us without burners

 Hi!

I have iso of CD1 and CD2 of mandrake 8 final. This files are at windows
partition and I want to install packages of MDK8 from this two ISO's. I
think Mandrake Install don't detect the two ISOS's, it's right? If is
right
it's is a good feature to add.

 Thanks,

 Marcio

Use the harddisk install image. It can loopback the cd-images.

ps. If you do that i would mv the images to the root directory. Makes it much
easier to find them.

"detect" doesn't mean something in that situation.

Our installer can install directly from an ISO, may it be on a Linux,
Windows, or Reiserfs partition.

Please use floppy boot image in "/images/hd.img" and follow instructions
on-screen.
