Germany here (T-DSL) - Max I get is 40k transfer - but with sunsite.uio.no or ftp.sunet.se I average around 85-100k. What kind of equipment are you running and how long do you intend to maintain this site? Will it be considered an official site or just for Cookers? Re: [Cooker] Please help test a new mirror !!!
Nice news, thank you all for your testing, enjoy the new ( still unoficial) Mandrake mirror and have a nice weekend. Ah, not to forget, the fundamental question that only lead developers may answer ;) : When you guys take a break after releasing new stuff or in other words when are the best moments of the day to sync the mirror with respect of keeping the integrity and usability at maximum ? Best regards, Mircea C.

Will this be a permanent, up to date, by the hour official mirror? I hope so because of all the problems we've experienced so far with the other european mirrors.

Well, you can do some more tuning of course (see man rsyncd.conf), but to get it running: Yep, that's all there's to it. I maybe missing something, but because the setup is so extremely easy, I don't understand why there aren't more rsync servers around.
