Someone flame me if I'm off my rocker, but... My understanding
is that the 7xxx series Radeon cards are souped-up versions of the
""old"" Radeon classic. THe 8500, on the other hand, has a new
core, and needs new drivers as a result. So, until support for it
statrts to creep into XF86, I'll stick with my Radeon-classic.

Does the dual head work right?

I use a Radeon VE which works fine under Cooker and already worked with
8.1
There is just a problem: X will always use the second output of the
card.

Haven't tried the 7500: but: I am using an all-in-wonder 32 ddr with the
latest cooker. Works fine with 3d acceleration with Athlon 1.4 home
built system using an ASUS a7M ddr MOBO.
