I recall there were some issues with gkrellm-plugins and gnome2. I think that's why it went into contribs rather than the release. gkrellm-plugins was *never* in main. I also don't know of any issues
with gnome2... I use gkrellm and gnome2, with the plugins,
constantly... no known issues here.
