Re: [Cooker] sblive (soundblaster live) and smp enabled
Also, just went my website that has midi sound on it and guess what? It works! Usually netscape will wine and complain about a pluggin required! dunno if this was mandrake or sblive, but the sblive had some troubles with midi. i'll stop on this matter since this is resolved and i burned an email off to the ~email (sblive instruction site) on the makefile configuration issue. Sounds like this is the main reason for it not being within the kernel yet (or whatever)...bummer. Re: [Cooker] sblive (soundblaster live) and smp enabled
Yup, it works.(gleefully trying to restrain my self endulged over-excitement) had to reinstall the rpm "licq-data*" since it didn't install the sounds. also, sounds are found in the /usr/share/licq* dir. should they really be located within the /home/[user]/.licq directory? not complaining one bit! got sblive installed, cd-rw apperantly working (if not, i made the orange light flash and one coaster!). i'll email that persons site and let him know of what i had to do, if the bug is at his end. now just for this stupid lexmark 2050 paper weightmaybe i'll be able to make the cartridges move sometime soon! Re: [Cooker] sblive (soundblaster live) and smp enabled
O.k. resolved it. went into the /emu10k1/Makefile and change the follwoing: smp = y modversions = y and then recompiled. went fine this timestill have to check to see if the sound works! looks like it should according to my previous installs. (no errors showing so far).
