It was only released in cooker, and hasn't been put in errata for some reason. If you don't have this and can't find it, let me know and I'll make it available to you. The update kernel is currently being tested, and will be released soone (must be 2.4.18.6.4mdk) -- Warly

Re: [Cooker] smb issues resolved?
I would appreciate that. I don't understand, however, why Mandrake would not want the fix for general release. I still don't understand the rush to put out a broken kernel, so many side vendors depend on an existing kernel for their ports (such as win4lin). I also understood there were a few issues with xfs and this kernel, does anyone remember what they were and have they been resolved also? I also understood there were a few issues with xfs and this kernel, does anyone remember what they were and have they been resolved also? I haven't seen any problems here. IIRC, the issues were with approx 2.4.18-4mdk, where quotas (and possible ACLs) weren't working. I believe both of these issues were fixed for 2.4.18-6mdk, and they should still work with 2.4.18-7mdk. I have tested quotas on my home machine, and they even work correctly with samba. I haven't played with ACLs too much, but Sylvestre Taburet did test XFS ACLs from Windows XP. I am hoping XFS in 2.4.18-7mdk is ok, since we need to add more storage (at short notice) in the form of 100GB of SCSI RAID, preferably something robust, journalled, resizeable, with ACLs and quotas ... Since a number of people have had problems with 2.4.18-6mdk, can anyone say if there is going to be a kernel update that will address these issues, or should those we just run 2.4.18-7mdk? Juan?
