Also /etc/speedtouch.conf needs to be updated to reflect the new firmware name. Mike Hi Mike, Just changed firmware url in drakconnect to point on older firmware. So KQD6P2.eni is the latest firmware name ? And it's likely to change for each release, great... Thanks. -- Damien Chaumette MandrakeSoft
Re: [Cooker] Speedtouch update
Remember that /etc/speedtouch.conf is still looking for the old firmware name So that too will need to change. Maybe you could get drakconnect to ask if you already have the firmware and if so ask where it is so it can be copyed to the correct place and the conf file set properly? Just an idea Mike Damien Chaumette wrote: Michael Lothian [EMAIL PROTECTED] writes: Hi just thought I'd let you guys know that the Speedtouch firmware file is now called KQD6P2.eni It's from the same page advertised in Drakconnect (It's the binary file) Just thought you might be able to update Drakconect to reflect this as it confused the hell out of my poor wee mind. Re: [Cooker] speedtouch mgmt file
Le Mercredi 4 Septembre 2002 20:57, dave a écrit : how about putting the speedtouch mgmt.o file in the next build of mandrake as it is so annoying to be told that i have to manually input it into the usr/share/speedtouch directory. if the speedtouch driver rpm is incl. in the dist. then please also put the mgmt file in there when it configs the network on install. 1°/ mgmt.o is a closed proprietary firmware, mdksoft can't include it in GPLed/free downloadabled edition 2°/ buy a mdk pack, they are included and will be automatically installed then -- Avoid temporary variables. - The Elements of Programming Style (Kernighan Plaugher)

Look, I have the source speedtouch-1.1rc2.tar.gz which is 155.8 KB. Would it be possible to ask for it on a floppy during install? Is not speedtouch-1.0-2, which is in main, a driver for this modem? It has to be manually selected but it is there. Charles -- I *knew* I had some reason for not logging you off... If I could just remember what it was. -- Charles A Edwards [EMAIL PROTECTED] --
