What's this dmesg from - some other Linux? Looks like it sees a CD-ROM on
scsi0, although normally you would see some Manufacturers ID etc, but that
might just have not been picked up by the grep.

You may be bitten by my omission of the aic7xxx module in the
installer/kernel. There is an updated set of ISO's on my ftp space:

ftp://ftp.mandrakesoft.com/pub/sbenedict/

1-Cooker-PPC.iso
2-Cooker-PPC.iso

md5sums:

34c0780abd7a30f52ddb1dffaec5434d 1-Cooker-PPC.iso
f1d1c46a61f216ffbeb6a615f1d78aac 2-Cooker-PPC.iso

Now before everybody goes running there to grab the latest thing (TM),
there is nothing any different than what you have in the final, UNLESS you
need that SCSI module. So don't flood that server please.

installation on PM7600

Dear all,

I would like to install mandrake-ppc on my PM7600. However, when I used
BootX,
it couldn't find CDROM. I tried to load MESH and 53C94 modules, but none of
them
worked. I browsed the mail-archives and foundPhil's BootX.

caused by (from srr1): unknown values in srr1.

I also triedthe kernels from CD but they didn't work either.

The following is `dmesg |grep scsi`

I had a adaptec aha scsi card on scsi0. My harddisk is connected to it. But
my CDROM
is connected to the interanl SCSI.

Can anybody give any suggestion?
