The pudding is in the cake mix itself. All cake mixes don't have pudding in
them; so checking the label is very important.

Well not wanting to get off topic I will get this over to sendspace and send
you a link. I am really getting fed up with dropbox because if I send a
link for an MP3 file it will let people listen to it but not copy it. I am
not sure what is going on with drop box lately.

Hi Jude,

I went to the drop box site and I guess they have locked me out as far
as sending files even in the public area. I guess I will move everything to
sendspace and cancel dropbox.

 Here is the file.

You buy the chocolate cake mix, then a separate box of say, butterscotch or
chocolate instant pudding, and that's it! Years ago, there were cake mixes

I have a vita mix here myself so basically what happens is, is that the blades
spin fast enough to cause friction in the water to heat it up. I assume the
ninja works basically the same way. However, these blenders are quite loud so
honestly it's easier to heat water up in one of those electric tea kettle then
do the mixing of the soup in the blender for a lot less time. I assume the
ninjas are decent but the vita mix is have a very powerful motor and can chop
up anything.

Pulse buttons on these devices just turn the power on for as long as you
hold the button in. When you take your finger off the button the
blender turns off.

Re: [CnD] New Wave Oven

2013-11-25 Thread Walt Cone
I haven't decided what to do. I hear stories how people who put a lot of
files on Sendspace lose them so I may just look for another company. I am
also looking at google drive but it isn't as easy to share files as Dropbox
but I haven't heard of being locked out of the account or you can't send
files like Dropbox.

Hi Walt, thanks much for this guide! I have the dropbox software on the
windows 7 box but if the company is that unstable it's locking people out
like this I probably ought to dump the software and go with sendspace too.
I haven't yet done anything with the dropbox account and reading what
happened to you, I think that was fortunate.

Re: [CnD] New Ninja Question

2013-11-25 Thread Desi Noller
Hi Shirley,

We bought our Ninja at Bed Bath And Beyond, but I know you can also buy them
through Amazon or at Target, and probably a lot of other places too!

I did make chicken soup the other day, but I only prepped the veggies with the
Ninja. I don’t think it gets things hot enough to cook. If I find out
otherwise, I’ll let you know.

We decided on buying the Ninja rather than the VitaMix because it is not nearly
as expensive, and I already know two other people who have Ninjas and love them
to pieces! I think I’m fast joining them!

Hi Walt,

I see you already got a fantastic explanation of the pulse feature, so I won’t
add anything else. It’s a very handy feature to have when you just want to
blend something a tiny bit before checking it!

Re: [CnD] My New Ninja

2013-11-25 Thread Jennifer Chambers
Hi, Desi,

Thank you very much for this explanation. I may have one of these in
my future! .

Thanks, too, to the person who posted what Consumer Reports has to say.

Walt, the Pulse button is also used to chop things. You hold it in
for the time specified in the recipe. If you hold it in longer, you
may end up mush when what you wanted was small pieces.

My first food processor was a GE and I loved that machine. Like the
Ninja, it was so easy to put together, take apart, and clean.

Darn it, Desi, why did you have to tell us about this Ninja? Now I
want one! .

Re: [CnD] New Ninja Question

2013-11-25 Thread Jennifer Chambers
Desi, Tara's statement about the Vita Mix being loud has me a bit
concerned about the Ninja. Is it loud as well? If so, I may have to
rethink getting it, as I cannot stand really loud things. (Tara,
thanks for posting that, for I hadn't thought about the noise factor.)
