2018-01-23 Thread Helen Whitehead via Cookinginthedark
I do the same thing, freeze bananas, and I also use butter when making mine.
Will have to send in the recipe. It's so moist! It also has sour cream in it.
Now my son makes 2 loaves at a time, and put's it in his daughter's and wife's
lunches, for school and work.

I made banana bread today too, my grandkids love it (my son says my
daughter-in-law especially does-kids are good to be blamed for stuff like
that); I use butter instead of vegetable oil and use frozen bananas. When they
get too ripe, I freeze them and then thaw them when I want to make bread. I've
done this for years.

That's what I was trying to find out: what could be used in its place. I
think I'm allergic to msg and thought that was in poultry seasoning. But I
could be wrong. I just know that when I go to some Chinese places and even, to
some extent, Olive Garden, I have issues soon after eating. So we thought it
was msg with the Chinese. Some restaurants don't use it or you can request
them not using it in your order.

But I usually just leave out anything I think has the msg.

[CnD] MSG

2018-01-23 Thread gail johnson via Cookinginthedark

It is MSG you are alergic to.
We tend to use a simple combination of pepper, paprika, garlic powder,
and salt as our basic food seasoning.

The proportions aren't written in stone.
