i consultign and finally i got the problem.. i have 3 DNS in resolv.conf
 one of them are faild, the firts..

thanks in advance i now nknow the problem..  of course dns looks good
if i not specify , but if i take one in particular got the problematic
dns..

what does "dig mx gmail.com" say?

the message looks like DNS problem resolving gmail.com, and when you have
problem resolving your domain, that looks like DNS error.

a little change in network, courier crap and got unusable!

i revised every config file, and set to real domain intranet1.net.ve

1) DNS are working an valid on the internet, my provider are the best
ISP, Level 3 networks, see it, so DNS are not the problems:

Please fix your mail client and turn off HTML email. It looks terrible on  
non-HTML mail readers. You obviously didn't type "http://gmail.com>",  
but your email client turns plain text into links, and that's how they show  
up in non-HTML email clients, making your email hard to read.

etc resolv.conf are automatically set by network-manager and have valid  
entries

I'm sure you didn't type "", but your HTML email client  
replaces your typed text with links, which makes it quite unreadable on non- 
HTML email clients.


Now I don't know what you meant by "valid entries", or how you reached that  
conclusion. You need to verify every name server that's listed in there. If  
some of them are down, or non-functioning, some of your DNS queries will  
work, others won't, randomly. Just because one or two DNS resolutions work  
does not prove that the nameserver configuration in /etc/resolv.conf is  
correct.

I don't know, but I might guess that the IP address that was previously 
assigned to your host had a PTR record in DNS that contained a fully 
qualified hostname.  When the system booted, it may have got an address 
from DHCP, looked up the PTR using DNS, and then set the hostname.  
That's the standard behavior for Red Hat derived systems.

Clearly, I should have been more specific.

You must use a fully qualified hostname that resolves in DNS.

/etc/hosts is not used.  localhost.localdomain is not valid.

localhost are found by internal dns due are in /etc/host

testmxlookup report fine buit its nothig to do with SEND emails, due i only
setup smtp to send mails not receiving

Set your domain name in /etc/courier/defaultdomain, or properly set your

my case, my mx entry are real AAA name

in others said that must deadtivate BOHFCHECK but i dnt want that! its a
very conforable feature

similar to addresses used in closed networks, but it is public and
assigned to Symbolics, Inc.

If no mail is sent from one of the servers, then the first thing that I
would do is check DNS server's logs. If that does not show anything
interesting, then I would tcpdump dns traffic. That would show what
queries are not answered.

And, if you really used 192.10.x.y address for closed network, then I
would not rule out possibility that this clashes somehow with public
addresses. Either use addresses that are assigned to you, or use only
from RFC1918.

And finaly, if you want to receive help, please don't obfuscate logs and
configurations. That only makes diagnostics more complicated without
providing any security to you. And don't be rude to Mr.Sam.

on a close network of course u dont!

The two servers was working perfectly until we moved the server to another
network, only the ip adress was changed!

Now only one of the two can send mails, the other does not!

I see similar behavior on a google search with no solution, only "ask to
mail courier users"

i like courier and its the only mta i used, but now make me headhaches,
please any soloution about?

then let to send emails

both have own DNS servers and repost good the host lookup:

dominio.net.ve mail is handled by 10 mx.dominio.net.ve.

Domain dominio.net.ve:
Relay: mx.dominio.net.ve, Priority: 10, Address: :::192.10.252.99


In options BOFHCHECKDNS are set to 0 or disabled, there's no BOFH file
present

only courier-mta and courier-auth are installed

no firewall ony a local red are present and all mail are send to the local
server, the local server 192.10.252.99 works perfectly and acepts mail from
any other machine

please show me why this are happened!?
