[Coworking] Re: Coworking Visa logo mockup

2008-12-29 Thread Tony Bacigalupo
Hi Steven,
Do you have a PSD or other high-res-ish file for the Visa stamp?

I'm setting up NWC for the Coworking Visa program and will use the GIF for
now.

PS, to all: I've compiled the list of participating spaces into a Google
Spreadsheet, editable by all, so it will be easier to sort and see where
relevant spaces are. I didn't fill in all the details, but it's a start:

Happy holidays, coworkers!

 Heck all,
On a quiet Friday afternoon we mockedup an idea for the Coworking 'logo'.

Thought each space could put branding/logo in the middle kinda like this

[Coworking] Re: this group being archived/indexed/ads sold against (not just on Google)

2008-12-29 Thread Hillary Hartley

I also got a similar Google Alert last week referring to osdir.com --
and was similarly shocked that it appears to be a post for post
archive of the google group. I didn't realize Google would allow
something like that; seems like they'd have the content locked down
somehow. After all, we are talking about GOOG. :)

A Google Alert with my name appearing on another website brought my
attention to what may be already known and old hat to many immersed in
the Web 2.0/culture of openness where coworking grew, but this caught
my eye as a note for anyone assuming that it's just us here, despite
the public archive and RSS feeds for the Google Group itself: all
messages for this Google Group in 2008 are appearing at:

 http://osdir.com/ml/culture.talk.coworking/

with the ability for people to reply there (vs. coming back here to
actually join the conversation), as well as ads being sold against
 content we're generating here.

Looking around, it appears the newsgroup echoing this group was
 created way back on 11/28/2006:

 http://article.gmane.org/gmane.announce/11943
This newsgroup corresponds to the coworking mailing list.

Here's basic info on the group:
 http://gmane.org/info.php?group=gmane.culture.talk.coworking

 It's also archived elsewhere:

 http://www.mail-archive.com/coworking@googlegroups.com/

Just a handy reminder for anyone thinking that if something is said
that they didn't mean to it can be cleaned up within the group, given
that none of this has been mentioned on this list as far as I can tell
 in archives searches.
