[Coworking] Re: Coworking Canberra take #2
Hi, We met with the office leasee today and had a long chat about coworking - the outcome being that he's keen to proceed, so all we need now is to get people in there! Well, we do need furniture like desks, chairs, lounges etc - I'm following up some possibility sponsorship or grants to provide those so it'll be a few weeks till the space is operational. But, we now have a coworking space in Canberra!! It's a little bit out of the way .. just behind the shops in Mitchell so probably only useful for northsiders. There's also a chance of another Canberra company hosting a coworking space more central mid next year so southsiders, hang in there. If you're interested in using the space either as a casual drop-in, ongoing casual or ongoing with dedicated desk then please register your interest with me as I'll be coordinating the use of the space for the first month. [Coworking] New Coworking location - New Kensington, PA
Hello, My name is Rich from HBV LLc. located in downtown New Kensington, PA (just east of Pittsburgh, PA. My brother Joe and I have been working to create approx. 8000 sq ft. of space dedicated to Coworking (Co-working). We are at the very beginning stages of beautifying but is very usable; in fact, we currently have our studio seeing some action. Our current goals are to concentrate on needs as they arise. I look forward to gaining knowledge from this discussion group to create a great community work space. Our location includes: Permanent space, community space(s), conference room(s), rest rooms, vending area, lounge w/ electronic games, storage and studio room. Other amenities include: 24 hour video surveillance, electronic key card access, parking and more. We hope that many independent workers will find our space useful and choose to join and assist in our creation. Thank you. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Coworking" group. To post to this group, send email to cowork...@googlegroups.com. Awesome! Maybe a coworking badge for each city that would be called: Laptop Warrior (?) [Coworking] Boulder ideas
Hello! I am representing a group of people living in Boulder, CO with a desire to develop a space downtown that can serve as a hybird art gallery, host of lecture series/classes, and a co-working space. We currently have a small gallery but are wanting to make the transition early next year. Was curious to see what other out there are doing. Warmly, Amanda -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Coworking" group. To post to this group, send email to cowork...@googlegroups.com. [Coworking] Hmmm, a Foursquare badge for coworking...
So I was thinking about promoting coworking through a foursquare badge. Foursquare.com is the game that gives you and your friends points and tips for checking into places around town. I thought coworkers and coworking makes for a good badge. But I really don't know what to call it or the rules around it. So I thought I'd put it out for crowdsourcing, both for ideas and to generate support. 1. What's a good name for a coworking badge? They're usually funny. 2. What should be the rules? one checkin at a place? checkins at multiple places? If you know the answer and don't like this messy collaboration thing, you can go straight to the man: http://foursquare.com/suggest_badge My first thoughts: --- 1. Coworkout! [Coworking] Re: Hi from a new and lonesome freelancer from Leeds!
Old Broadcasting House is still up and running with one of the largest coworking communities in the UK - around 50 members now. The site's currently under redevelopment, but there's some info at http://www.ntileeds.co.uk/co-working/. I run a monthly networking and coworking event at Old Broadcasting House every month...people can meetup and mingle in the morning with free coffee and cake as well as use the coworking facilities throughout the day for free (have a peek at http://opencoffeeleeds.eventbrite.com) On Dec 3, 11:19 am, David Garvin **GMD** wrote: > Hi Andy, > > What happened to Old Broadcasting House?
