[Coworking] Last Call for Coworking Workshop, this Sunday
It looks like theres going to be another awesome turnout for my last online coworking workshop of 2011. There's still some seats left if anyone is interested, but ticket sales will end on Saturday night. https://indyhall.stagehq.com/events/1048 -Alex /ah indyhall.org coworking in philadelphia -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups Coworking group. [Coworking] Re: Can someone help me find the files section of this group?
One of the long term objectives that came out of the Coworking Summit weekend about a month ago (as I understand it) is to *eventually *create an online repository for files related to coworking such as sample membership agreements, leases, floor plans, and the like. This is probably 6 mos out, and we'll be sure to let you know when it is available! [Coworking] FINALLY! Press for us guys in the remote areas
My hometown paper, approximately 25 miles from where my center is, finally got a clue and put out an article about coworking. As good as that is, it's sad that the article was about centers far from our location. There was nothing about my center or the others that are within a 100 mile radius. There's still much to be done! http://www.sturgisjournal.com/news/business/x824876057/How-to-create-a-co-working-space I have written a letter to the editor thanking them for this information, talking in more detail, and inviting people to come for a free day pass. Anything else I can do to take advantage of this? Thanks, guys. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups Coworking group. Re: [Coworking] Last Call for Coworking Workshop, this Sunday
All week I have confronted my nearly empty coworking space. I opened Collab space because of a passion for collaboration, sharing, empowering people so dreams come true, all that but I loose sight of why I am doing this and loose my steam, because I don't know my how and what. Anyway, all week long I have been so looking forward to this coworkshop, so thanks! Re: [Coworking] Coworking in Petaluma CA
I'm not super familiar with the backstory behind SoCoDepot (or bzhive) other than the info on the wiki. I can say that having lived in Sonoma County, I would guess that the correct implementation of a coworking group has enormous potential. Walk into the back room at Aroma Roasters in Santa Rosa any day and you can see several people pecking away at laptops (and not Facebook). There are a some solid communities in user groups and other community groups that would be great to reach out to. As awesome as Sonic.net is for internet service, they don't reach out to the boonies of west county, and those folks could be prime candidates for being a part of a coworking community. Santa Rosa JC has 30,000 students per year last time I heard, and many of these people stay and work and open small businesses in the area. All this tells a great story of potential. Hit me up if you want to circulate some info, I still have friends and contacts in the area and I'd be happy to pass along word of meetups/jellies to some web developer types. I'm super excited for you! Shenoa -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups Coworking group.
