[Coworking] East Coast Coworking Space Road Trip Suggestions?

2015-08-18 Thread carter
Hi All,

We're opening up a new space in Raleigh this winter and are planning a
small road trip along the east coast from Mon., 8/24 - Wed., 8/26 to look
at spaces. We'll be coming from Raleigh up to Philly, passing through
Richmond and D.C. on the way. Any recommendations on which spaces to stop
by? Better yet, anyone open to us stopping by for a cup of coffee/tour? :)

Thanks,
Carter

Any questions don't hesitate to get in touch!

If you want to avoid I-95 from Baltimore to Philly (and believe me, you do)
you're welcome to swing west and visit Cowork Frederick
. From there you can head north
to PA, check out CoWork155 in York
and the several Candy Factory
locations in Lancaster. (obviously, check with those folks first, but
they're on the way to Phila.)

[Coworking] Invoicing and online payments

Hey! I'm curious what folks are using for invoicing their members nowadays?
How do you accept payments? What do you like/not like about the
software/services you're using? If you were starting from scratch right

Is anyone using waveapps.com?

We recently switched to using Xero for accounting although we don't use it
for invoicing. We don't actually invoice. We bill using recurring billing
on our payment gateway (usaepay) and they can get a recipe for their
charges through Nadine, a custom app we've been writing over the years.

We LOVE LOVE LOVE FreshBooks!

http://www.freshbooks.com/right-for-me

I promise I don’t work for FreshBooks, although I ask them to work with me on a
lot of things ;)
They are great supporters of small businesses.

I found them years ago and I recommend them to most of my clients and members.
I use them for all of my companies and everything about it is super-intuitive
and easy to use.
(Even if you’re not the best with numbers)

The app is also great and I use it for tracking time and keeping track of
receipts etc.
Come tax time, I can do my own because everything I need is right there in the
reports.

I’m such a fan, I’ve even asked Mike McDermott to speak at GCUC Canada this
September.
They know exactly what it’s like to grow a business from scratch and they are
also amazing if you need help with anything.
