Re: [Coworking] Digest for coworking@googlegroups.com - 6 updates in 3 topics

2016-01-14 Thread Jerome Chang
I've tried that. We weren't a fan of the UX but did like the integrated project
management. HighRise has a separate sister product, BaseCamp but they operate
effectively separately.

That said, in general, I would recommend Insightly

[Coworking] Re: CRM

2016-01-14 Thread Tom Lewis
Hi there. We tried all kinds of systems, and I found Highrise a bit too
simple, and like you found lots of the others too fiddly and complex to set
up. We now use Podio for both CRM and hub intranet-
it's customizable but very simple to use, and you can use it for as many
areas of your business as you can think of. I do know that Highrise has
added a ton of features over the past year though since 37signals handed it
over to new management, so it's definitely worth a look

[Coworking] We're sharing all of our coworking data and financial info

2016-01-14 Thread Matt D.
Hi everyone.

We've enjoyed sharing some of the highs and lows of our coworking journey
on our blog, and the positive response has inspired us to go one step
further... So we created a website that displays all of our coworking data
and financial information. There are charts and graphs, and links to
download our financial spreadsheets:

http://www.theskillery.com/coworking/open/data/

We'll update it once a month. If you like it, and find it useful, please
spread the word. If there are things you think we could be doing to make it
more useful, let me know. If you need help making sense of it all, holler.

Hope this is useful for the group!
-Matt @ The Skillery

Two threads going at once! I just chimed in on the other one about Cobot,
Nexudus, and Nadine. Cobot and Nexudus are hosted services and Nadine is
open source software that you, or your IT staff, run on your own hardware.

Jerome, I'm using Insightly which may work very well for you. It's a bit
more robust than standard CRM and allows for tracking opportunities and
simple project management. Hope that helps. Warmly, Dina Eisenberg

[Coworking] Re: CRM

2016-01-14 Thread Bernd Rützel
My advice: Take a look at www.nexudus.com. They provide a complete solution
to run a coworking space. They offer it as a SaaS solution which starts
with a monthly price of ZERO for the first 5 members and then grows
together with you. So no investment needed and it will always be covered by
the revenues you generate.

For my own coworking space (www.coworking4you.de) it covers everything from
managing the memberships, invoicing, booking of meeting rooms, members
directory e.g.

They provide an excellent support and help you to setup the complete
organisation of your space.

Good luck and success for your coworking space

Bernd

[Coworking] Looking for a "Member Data" Platform - Any advice appreciated!

2016-01-14 Thread Elizabeth Barno
Hi all,

As a quick introduction, my name is Liz Barno and I am the Community
Manager of Greentown Labs . We are a
cleantechnology focused incubator/coworking space based outside of Boston
in Somerville, MA.

One tool I have been looking for, and struggling to find, is a database/CRM
- type platform to collect, store and analyze all of the data we collect on
our members. I have briefly looked into IncuTrack
and MemberClicks
.

What we currently have is a basic CRM for company and contact information,
survey data collected quarterly from members in many excel files, and notes
from meetings and interactions. When it comes to finding a specific piece
of information, for example: "How many jobs were at Greentown Labs in
2014?", it involves combining and sorting many data sets and a lot of time.

What is everyone else using for member data? Any leads are appreciated!

Thanks,
Liz
