[cross-project-issues-dev] Change in Eclipse projects leadership
Hi all, I just wanted to let you all know that, as of 31 March, 2017 I will be hanging up my (Red) hat and taking early retirement. I have reached a point in my life where I need to re-evaluate my priorities and start enjoying life ;) In order to ensure continued maintenance of the the BPEL, BPMN2 metamodel and BPMN2 Modeller projects I suppose the SOA PMC or Eclipse Planning Council should consider finding suitable replacements for project leads. Please let me know if I can help. Hi Web Tools! I'm trying to build BPMN2 Modeler for Eclipse Oxygen, which uses o.e.wst.wsdl. Re: [cross-project-issues-dev] How about now? Are you ready for M4 yet?
Yeah, yeah...no need to name names ;) I'm pedaling as fast as I can - hopefully the project that shall remain unnamed, builds correctly now. - Original Message - The list of dropped projects has decreased from 21 to 12 -- that's good -- and seems to me a few of them showing up there have just now (or in past few days) declared their intent. See list at http://projects.eclipse.org/releases/mars But ... data tools? EPP? Market Place Client? who is in charge of those projects? :) What are their plans? :) Given that Mars M4 +0 is tomorrow with all of M4 done in a week, I'd appreciate getting the lists up to date. (Wayne :) = = = = And, I still see disabled features or repositories in aggregation files: mft.b3aggrcon - org.eclipse.simrel.build (2 matches) mylyn-docs-intent.b3aggrcon - org.eclipse.simrel.build soa-bpmn2-modeler.b3aggrcon - org.eclipse.simrel.build I won't name names, but know one of those projects has tried to enable at the last minute twice before, with no success ... so hope someone has committed some time to work on it! = = = = The real motivation for this note, is that the Platform has put their M4 candidate into staging, and I was browsing the repo reports to make sure we were ok, and I noticed a lot of variation in the non-unique versions report . Now, I realize some of those are intentional, and some may be fixed automatically as people create their M4 deliverables ... but, thought it was worth reminding project leads and release engineers to take a look and make sure you are up to date where you can be. Otherwise, you may end up testing one thing, that will not be what makes it into the EPP packages, or similar. For some of the more obvious cases, we in the platform have moved up to Jetty 9.2.5 .. and I see at least 3 if not 4 versions used in the common repo. Similar for httpcomponents. And, I'm sure many others. Be sure to use the latest Platform and Orbit repo in producing and testing your M4 builds. And, if questions on what those are, please ask. Thanks everyone ... Re: [cross-project-issues-dev] Missing IP Logs for Luna
Oops!! I think there was a miscommunication somewhere along the line. The BPMN2 Modeler for Luna will be version 1.1.0 - a minor release because of breaking API changes. Is there enough time to do a release review? If not, what are the alternatives? Sorry for the confusion, Bob - Original Message - BPMN2 was the only project that needed an IP Log or a release review. Both BPEL Designer and BPMN2 Modeler are contributing service releases and so do not require IP Log reviews. FWIW, I did respond to your submission of these IP Logs for review; I'll forward that response to you. Okay, I sorted it out. Flipping the bit--it turns out--isn't enough. After flipping the bit, projects will have to open the "Simultaneous Release Tracker" component and set any of the values. I recommend setting the offset. If your project is releasing as part of the parent project, click the "track with parent" link. We're working on making this better. I promoted the latest results to /releases/staging so you can check/test there, if all is as expected. If anyone needs to contribute by 7 PM Eastern, I'd think that'd be containable ... after that, I'd begin to ask if better to wait to M5, or other more specific questions. Oh, and you don't really need to answer "roll call" unless there's problems ... like my teachers used to say "if anyone is not here, will you please speak up?" :) ___ cross-project-issues-dev mailing list cross-project-issues-dev@eclipse.org https://dev.eclipse.org/mailman/listinfo/cross-project-issues-dev ___ cross-project-issues-dev mailing list cross-project-issues-dev@eclipse.org https://dev.eclipse.org/mailman/listinfo/cross-project-issues-dev -- Wayne Beaton The Eclipse Foundation Twitter: @waynebeaton ___ cross-project-issues-dev mailing list cross-project-issues-dev
Re: [cross-project-issues-dev] Status and outlook near end of M4 +3
Yes, I'm not here raises hand I don't think BPEL will be in the aggregation build by tonight. When is M5? Robert (Bob) Brodt Senior Software Engineer JBoss by Red Hat - Original Message - Roll call ... I think the last aggregation build got all the latest changes/additions for M4, but please speak up now if your contribution isn't there yet. Re: [cross-project-issues-dev] Juno M4 status and outlook at end of +2 day ... calm before the storm?
Hi Wayne,BPEL is hoping to be a new project this year, so just wanted to make sure we're on the list :)Thanks!Bob Brodt According to the participation list [1], we have 59 projects participating. Remember that I need you to flip the bit in the portal to show that you're participating. Sooner would be better than later. I did a quick run through of the project and have observed that the following projects are MIA from last year: AMP EMF Query EMF Transaction EMF Validation GEF GMF-Notation Mobile Tools For Java (MTJ) QVT Operational Sequoyah The math doesn't add up, so I've made a mistake somewhere... I may have to write a query. More later. Let me know if you're having trouble. We'll consider 5 PM Wednesday the deadline, unless someone says "wait, almost ready".
