By arguing and quibbling over small details, you are playing into the
hands of the conspirators.

Now that's a novel argument...which must surely have been designed by the
conspirators to create more division by prompting people such as myself to
question your motives by trying to direct people away from seeking out the
complete truth

Small details (in the grand perspective)
like who belongs to what "cult" and details of religious practice, are
red herrings, designed BY the people who perpetuated the crimes against
the Branch Davidians, in order to keep you from focusing on the
important matters, exposing the criminals and bringing them to justice.

Showdown with secret power groups

By Jens Kerte

The Net version Saturday Mars 18th 2000

Politiken Sunday:
Danish ministers and top civil servants must have a prohibition against
participating in secret masonic-like meeting, the Party List of Unity
means. The Party List of Unity has proposed a bill of decision in the
Danish Parlament. (quote) "In such secret meetings – as the meting of the
Bilderberg Group – the power brokers coordinate their views and cover up
for each other", Frank Aaen from the Party List Of Unity means, and says :
"when it takes place in deepest secrecy it is a scandal that ministers at
high level has participated without any democratic insight".(unquote)
More members of the EURO-Parlament and Folketinget (The Danish Parlament)
insist on that the participation of Danish ministers and European
Commissioners in high political discussions in the yearly, closed
conferences of the private, so-called Bilderberg Group beeing brought to
light.

Ritt and Uffe
For the last few years both the former Minister of Foreign Affairs of (the
Party) Liberal Left Uffe Ellemann-Jensen and the former EU-Commissioner
Ritt Bjerregaard (the Socialdemocratic Party) have participated in these
two-days conferences, where the participants are instructed confidentiality.
Prime Minister Poul Nyrup Rasmussen (the Socialdemocratic Party) gives an
answer to one of the written questions on this matter, …that there have
never been any decision of the government about Bilderberg.
On this background among other things the Prime Minister says that he does
not see any (quote) "basis to criticise, if Danish ministers have
participated in the so-called Bilderberg Meetings." (unquote)

Several invited to the Bilderberg Meetings
Uffe Ellemann-Jensen has since 1984 been present at the confidential
discussions of Bilderberg eight times the information of Politiken shows,
while Ritt Bjerregaard participated as newly fledged EU-Commissioner Of
Environment in 1995. All in all a dozen of Danish ministers have
participated since the first meeting in 1954.

Neither Uffe Ellemann-Jensen nor Ritt Bjerregaard briefed the Tribunal Of
Foreign Affairs or their Parlamentary Chiefs about their participation.

Unformal discussions
Their comments to Politiken is the following: (quote) "There was no need
caused by the simple reason that there was no talk of that Denmark in any
way was getting bound of the unformal debate", (unquote) says Uffe
Ellemann-Jensen.
"I have not briefed anybody about my participation, because Bilderberg is a
Think Tank that cannot make any decisions at all. There is no basis of
being concerned about that people meet and talk to each other" (unquote),
says Ritt Bjerregaard.
Seven of the present 20 EU-Commissioners have during the last few years
been connected to Bilderberg, and in the EURO-Parlament The Greens have
been working for, that these relations now is broad to the public knowledge.
The commisioners in question continuing deny to tell, what they have been
discussing on the Bilderberg meetings.

It is interesting to note that the "general" voting pattern of the listed
individuals above is towards more infringement upon our individual rights as
citizens living under the umbrella of a Constitution which guarantees us
certain inalienable rights that come from a supreme being. You will note
also that nearly all of them tend to vote more and more restrictions against
the Second Amendment and the Citizens who wish to exercise their rights
under that amendment! Some of these folks are absolutely insane in their
fanatical assault upon our 2nd, 4th, 5th, 6th, and 10th amendments to the
Constitution, comprising part of the first 10 amendments, our "Bill of
Rights". The United Nations has as one of its main goals, the total
elimination of any type of firearm by anyone in this country except the
Military Armed Forces! This includes the disarming of all citizens,
including all police forces, other than the UN Military Police!

You are welcome to forward this document to everyone on your mailing list in
the hopes of letting the people of this nation know just how superb a job
the CFR and the TLC have been doing in destroying this nation as a free and
sovereign nation. Again, I remind you that the TLC stated in 1973 when it
was formed that it would have a one world government in this country under
the dictatorship of the UN! They are doing an excellent job with the help
of those listed above.

Sacred white buffalo killed
BY JODI RAVE LEE Lincoln Journal Star

http://www.journalstar.com/archives/032400/neb/stox

When Joe Merrival was called to the scene of a buffalo shooting on the
Pine Ridge Indian Reservation recently, he stared in disbelief -- not far
away lay his sacred buffalo, its throat slit, its hide tattered.

Medicine Wheel had been the first white buffalo born on Indian lands in
more than a century.

"I just felt, "Oh no, it's the white buffalo,'" Merrival said Thursday. "I tried to
control myself. My mind went blank actually. I didn't want to say anything
wrong, so I just said, "It's the white buffalo.'" Born May 9, 1996, the white
calf was immediately viewed as a symbol of hope, rebirth and unity for
numerous Great Plains tribes.

"For us, this would be something like coming to see Jesus lying in the
manger," Floyd Hand Looks For Buffalo said shortly after Medicine
Wheel's birth.

Today, the calf's death comes amid turmoil and chaos on Pine Ridge,
where internal and external pressures have rocked its 20,000 Oglala
Lakota for much of the past year.

Throughout last summer, demonstrators marched on nearby Whiteclay,
Neb., protesting beer sales and a spate of unsolved Indian murders. And
for the past 68 days, another group has occupied the tribal administration
building.

The buffalo's death is a sign that life for American Indian people will get
worse before it gets better, said Looks for Buffalo, a spokesman for the
takeover group Grassroots Oyate.

According to a tribal police report, Pine Ridge's symbol of hope and unity
died just after 8 p.m. Sunday, when police officer Alex Morgan spotted the
animal running down a road near the Red Cloud community.

Morgan and tribal member Leon Poor Bear pursued the animal, which ran
into a yard.

"We tried to chase it back down the road, but it would put down his head
and charge us," Morgan wrote in his report. "I told Leon to shoot the buffalo
for the safety of the community." When Merrival found the buffalo's body
later that night, it appeared someone had started to butcher it, he said: its
throat was slit and its hide scarred from being dragged down a gravel road.

The rare animal's significance is rooted in Lakota oral history, which tells
the story of a holy woman visiting one of their villages. She taught them their
seven sacred ceremonies and their four great virtues: courage, wisdom,
generosity and fortitude. Before she left, she told the people not to worry,
that she would return one day, and that a sign of her arrival would be a
white buffalo calf.

A version of the prophecy predicts the calf will be born white but will change
in color -- to black, to yellow, to red and back to white -- as it matures,
Merrival said. Medicine Wheel was in the black phase.

When Medicine Wheel was born, doubt existed whether the animal was
100 percent bison. Tests from Storemont Laboratory in Woodland, Calif.,
however, proved it to be pure.

Now that the animal is dead, Merrival will use its hair and bones "for
spiritual purposes," sharing the parts with as many people as he can. After
that, "I'll put it back into the pasture to where it was born."

So busy worrying about bringing more children
into the world so that many do not have to worry
about taking care of the adults. I guess since
they are surplus - it has to be all right?
How about not worrying about that so much
- I do assume that you eat chicken eggs -
the unborn young, put a specific date of
being human, define what a human is that
makes us different from an ant type society,
and make a commitment to the ones already born
or to be born that they will live in the highest
values of Humanity.

I do not like what happened because they were Sadist
not Satanist, Christians, or anything else.
they were Sadistic in their dealings with other
life forms and seemed to advocate an ant type society.

considering who Koresh's mentors and supporters seem
to have been
Bush Sr. his whelps - who supported Hitler and I assume the snuff
films that
are happening over there now.
Clinton, Bill - who likes children, since it seems that most
others see through him.
Clinton, Hillary - who does what ever she thinks it takes
Moral, she left those a long time ago
Dole and Gore - who are trying to get in good by using
things like Coors.
Reno - Sadist in training.
Considering the line up I assume that there had to
be CIA agents there too. Blame the FBI?
And it seems if you have CIA you have soviets
the sadist soviets at least.

I hate to burst the bubble you live in Ali, but the United States

are not (at least now) in any way, shape, or form even
 Christian-like.
Canada might be considered a Koreshian-like country, since we do
 kill our
own children (unborn, though, unlike that cult, which didn't seem to
 be
  picky).

The 'cult', as you deem it, never killed children, nor was ever even
 accused
 of killing children.

[CTRL] Mark Twain - Stirring Times in Austria

Title: Stirring Times in Austria

"Stirring Times in Austria" by Mark Twain

[This article first appeared in Harper's New Monthly Magazine for

March, 1898 (Volume 96), pp. 530-40.]

I. THE GOVERNMENT IN THE FRYING-PAN

Here in Vienna in these closing days of 1897 one's blood gets no chance to

stagnate. The atmosphere is brimful of political electricity. All

conversation is political; every man is a battery, with brushes over-worn,

and gives out blue sparks when you set him going on the common topic.

Everybody has an opinion, and lets you have it frank and hot, and out of

this multitude of counsel you get merely confusion and despair. For no one

really understands this political situation, or can tell you what is going

to be the outcome of it.

Things have happened here recently which would set any country but

Austria on fire from end to end, and upset the government to a certainty;

but no one feels confident that such results will follow here. Here,

apparently, one must wait and see what will happen, then he will know, and

not before; guessing is idle; guessing cannot help the matter. This is

what the wise tell you; they all say it; they say it every day, and it is

the sole detail upon which they all agree.

There is some approach to agreement upon another point: that there

will be no revolution. Men say: "Look at our history: revolutions have not

been in our line; and look at our political map: its construction is

unfavorable to an organized uprising, and without unity what could a

revolt accomplish? It is disunion which has held our empire together for

centuries, and what it has done in the past it may continue to do now and

in the future."

The most intelligible sketch I have encountered of this

unintelligible arrangement of things was contributed to the Traveler's

Record by Mr. Forrest Morgan, of Hartford, three years ago. He says:

The Austro-Hungarian Monarchy is the patchwork quilt, the Midway

Plaisance, the national chain-gang of Europe; a state that is not a nation

but a collection of nations, some with national memories and aspirations

and others without, some occupying distinct provinces almost purely their

own, and others mixed with alien races, but each with a different

language, and each mostly holding the others foreigners as much as if the

link of a common government did not exist. Only one of its races even now

comprises so much as one-fourth of the whole, and not another

so much as one-sixth; and each has remained for ages as unchanged in

isolation, however mingled together in locality, as globules of oil in

water. There is nothing else in the modern world that

[p. 531]

is nearly like it,

though there have been plenty in past ages; it seems unreal and impossible

even though we know it is true; it violates all our feeling as to what a

country should be in order to have a right to exist; and it seems as

though it was too ramshackle to go on holding together any length of time.

Yet it has survived, much in its present shape, two centuries of storms

that have swept perfectly unified countries from existence and others that

have brought it to the verge of ruin, has survived formidable European

coalitions to dismember it, and has steadily gained force after each;

forever changing in its exact make-up, losing in the West but gaining in

the East, the changes leave the structure as firm as ever, like the

dropping off and adding on of logs in a raft, its mechanical union of

pieces showing all the vitality of genuine national life.

That seems to confirm and justify the prevalent Austrian faith

that in this confusion of unrelated and irreconcilable elements, this

condition of incurable disunion, there is strength -- for the government.

Nearly every day some one explains to me that a revolution would not

succeed here. "It couldn't, you know. Broadly speaking, all the nations in

the empire hate the government -- but they all hate each other, too, and with

devoted and enthusiastic bitterness; no two of them can combine; the

nation that rises must rise alone; then the others would joyfully join the

government against her, and she would have just a fIy's chance against a

combination of spiders. This government is entirely independent. It can go

its own road, and do as it pleases; it has nothing to fear. In countries

like England and America, where there is one tongue and the public

interests are common, the government must take account of public opinion;

but in Austria-Hungary there are nineteen public opinions -- one for each

state. No -- two or three for each state, since there are two or three

nationalities in each. A government cannot satisfy all these public

opinions; it can only go through the motions of trying. This government

does that. It goes through the motions, and they do not succeed; but

made a living from farmers would have protested.
Probally was a good way to get some farm land too.

Why is the drug problem rising?

 Greetings, Weekend Silicon Warriors,

 Did you hear...

At least one of the four front running U.S. presidential
candidates is weighing in on a computer issue. George W.
Bush has said he opposes breaking up Microsoft as part of
the U.S. government's anti-trust suit. Stay tuned. If one
has spoken up, the others will soon.

The Beanie Baby bungler burglars out of Philly have been
given their dues. Officials say that Samuel Miletto, the
official mastermind behind the AOL-based scam, took in
around $5000 by offering "discontinued" babies. Well, that
five grand could mean 105 years in prison as pay back for
105 counts of wire fraud. Ouch.

Once again, a cracker has used a portal found in Microsoft
software and grabbed upwards of 25,000 credit card numbers
from eight smaller e-commerce sites. To make matters worst,
the cracker who calls him (or her) self Curador taunted Bill
Gates and those whose card numbers he grabbed on a Web site
set up and paid for with one of the stolen credit card
numbers. Curador wrote: "I would like to thank the nice
people at ALL the Sites I Cracked for having left their
entire sales database, readable writeable for any one who
bothered to check their site out."

Alta-Vista has just undertaken an opt-on policy regarding
their user's data. Now, a user must click a checkbox in
order to allow personal data to be used in order to produce
 personalized banner ads. Good idea.

 Now onto today's topic...

 The numbers have been released.

The U.S. government finally decided to include e-commerce in
their surveys of the American economy. In the fourth quarter
of 1999, the Web accounted for $5.3 billion (that's with a
"B") dollars in retail sales. That came out to only 6% of
 the economy.

Although six percent may not seem like a lot at first, it's
a true indicator of the world that is to come. Analysts
claim that 6% is a doubling of the year before. Follow the
logic. Six will become 12, will become 24, etc., etc., etc.
This is just the beginning of it all.

Of course, that concept is not lost on those who are already
major players in the e-commerce business. Big player
cyber-companies are not only making a grab for more and more
customers, they also want to make a grab for the process
 itself.

The thinking is that if a company can patent a method of
doing business, then all those who follow will need to ante
up every time that method of doing business is undertaken.

I told this concept to my students and they looked at me
like I had grown a second head. They thought I was joking.
"Patent a way of doing business?" one young lady said. "You
mean a patent on using a box to deliver things or accepting
green pieces of paper in exchange for product?"

I was actually impressed with her snide delivery.

Ah, but yet, she's not so far off of the truth. You may
remember a Goodies to Go! Newsletter not too long ago that
told the tale of Amazon.com's lawsuit against Barnes and
Nobel Booksellers. Amazon had patented something they called
a "one-click" technology where consumers familiar to Amazon
could click one button and all of their demographics and
credit card information could be submitted with one click.
The consumer didn't have to fill in all of their address and
card information every time they wanted to buy something.

That's a good idea, right? It certainly isn't revolutionary,
but it's a good idea. Barnes and Nobel certainly thought so.
They offered something similar and got sued. The outcome is
 still pending.

What do you think of that? Is the one-click technology (I

Gulf War Syndrome
New Look Urged on Gulf Syndrome

December 10, 1996, Page A1
By PHILIP SHENON

WASHINGTON, Dec. 9 -- The scientist who
led a 1994 Pentagon study that discounted
links between chemical weapons and the
illnesses reported by veterans of the
Persian Gulf war said today that some
of the findings might have to be revised
in light of newly disclosed evidence
from the Pentagon -- evidence the Defense
Department did not share with him at the
time of his investigation.

The scientist, Joshua Lederberg, a
Nobel Prize-winning geneticist and
the former president of Rockefeller
University, said the Pentagon had
never told him about an incident
shortly after the war in which American
combat engineers blew up an Iraqi
ammunition depot that contained
chemical weapons, potentially exposing
thousands of troops to nerve gas.

He said in an interview that as a result
of the newly disclosed evidence, there
should be an intensified effort to determine
whether low doses of nerve gas could
cause long-term illnesses.

The comments by Dr. Lederberg throw into
question many of the conclusions of a
study that the Pentagon has cited for
more than two years in insisting that
there was no evidence that Americans
had been exposed to Iraqi nerve gas
or other chemical weapons during the
war, let alone that the troops had
been made ill by the poisons.

In addition, Dr. Lederberg said the
panel had not been informed that Czech
soldiers who had detected chemical
weapons during the war had been so
concerned about the possibility of
chemical exposure that they had
immediately pulled on gas masks
and other protective equipment,
even as American soldiers remained
unprotected.

Report's Foundations Are Questioned

"If I had it all to do over again,"
Dr. Lederberg said in an interview, "I
would have spent more time and effort
digging out the details." Asked why the
Pentagon had not shared some of the
information with his panel, he replied,
"I was not operating on the presumption
of malice, but maybe after this experience,
I want to be a little more cautious about that."

A Pentagon spokesman, Bryan Whitman, denied
that any information had been withheld from
Dr. Lederberg's panel. "There was never any
attempt to withhold any information," he said.
"They had full access to everything." But
Dr. Lederberg said, "We didn't get all the
information, and I don't know where it was."

He said he did not necessarily believe
that anyone within the Defense Department
had attempted to mislead his panel,
the Defense Science Task Force on
Persian Gulf War Health Effects.
"Un-lead is probably a better word
than mislead," he said.

"I know what a complex organization we're dealing with, how many
different turfs there are," Dr. Lederberg said. "The intelligence units
in particular are very jealous of anything they hold. They particularly
defy access to their raw data. It's not surprising that there are
goof-ups of this sort from time to time."

He said he was also concerned about the implications of new research by
Israeli scientists that showed that an drug given to allied troops
during the war to protect them from the effects of nerve gas might enter
the brain under conditions of stress and cause symptoms like those seen
among gulf war veterans.

Dr. Lederberg's comments came as three former Army researchers said that
research they conducted for the Pentagon in the 1970's suggested a
connection between low levels of nerve gas -- doses so small they might
not result in immediate physical symptoms -- and the sorts of health
problems reported by gulf war veterans.

The researchers -- Dr. Frank H. Duffy, associate professor of neurology
at Harvard Medical School; Dr. James L. Burchfiel, professor of
neurology at the University of Rochester, and Dr. Peter H. Bartels,
professor of pathology at the University of Arizona -- said in
interviews that the Pentagon seemed intent on ignoring or dismissing
their evidence.

Their research, which studied the effects of low doses of sarin on both
humans and primates, showed that the exposure
resulted in long-term,
perhaps permanent, changes in brain waves, which
could possibly be
connected with chronic fatigue, memory loss, sleep
disturbances and a
decrease in sexual drive. Those symptoms are among
those commonly
reported by gulf war veterans.

In a report on the issue that was widely distributed
earlier this year to gulf
war veterans, the Pentagon discounted the importance
of the research done

It has been my personal mission to make Americans aware of
the institutions of power established by an elite class who
use the state as their power source to make and protect their
wealth. This is euphemistically known as _ American Interests.

If you are not an American, then your country is most likely
set up along similar lines. Why? Because it works.

Britain's RIIA, Royal Institute of International Affairs, is
the equivalent of and sister to the Council On Foreign Relations.
Israel just established its Israel Council on Foreign Relations.
All the NATO countries have their versions of this institution,
as well as New Zealand, and Australia.

Forget about Tories vs Labor, Democrats vs Republicans, or Socialists
vs Conservatives. These are mere distractions from the real power
politics which are about Globalization or not. Unfortunately the
backlash against globalization is taking the form of ultra
nationalism.

In the end, the New World Order will fail. That is not the issue to
be concerned about. The issue is, what will happen to us when it
fails, and who will be in place to take charge of things.

Traditionally it has been fascists and autocrats and dictators who
have stepped in at times of crisis. Not a pleasant prognostication.

The only way that this scenario can be avoided without resorting to
violence,is to oust the internationalist elites who can be identified
by their membership in organizations like the CFR and replace them
with _ isolationists _ who are not fascists.

Watch Russia. Russia and Eastern Europe are the unfortunate examples
of what sprouts when _ Free Trade _ and _ Democracy _ are imposed
by elite puppets like Gorby, Yeltsin, and evidently Putin too. The
results are the typical pathologies of extreme Capitalism, massive
theft by elites, poverty for non elites, and rampant crime by the
aggressive.

Title: Stirring Times in Austria, part II

"Stirring Times in Austria" by Mark Twain (part II)

back

[p. 536]

Kronawetter. "I move the close of the sitting! And I demand the

ayes and noes!"

Dr. Lecher. "Mr. President, have I the floor?"

P. "You have the floor."

Wolf (to the Chair, in a stentorian voice which cleaves its way

through the storm). "It is by such brutalities as these that you drive us

to extremities! Are you waiting till some one shall throw into your face

the word that shall describe what you are bringing about?* [Tempest of

insulted fury from the Right.] Is that what you are waiting for, old

Grayhead? [Long-continued clatter of desk-boards from the Left, with

shouts of "The vote! the vote!" An ironical shout from the Right, "Wolf is

boss!"]

Wolf keeps on demanding the floor for his motion. At length --

P. "I call Representative Wolf to order! Your conduct is

unheard-of, sir! You forget that you are in a parliament; you

must remember where you are, sir." [Applause from the Right. Dr. Lecher is

still peacefully speaking, the stenographers listening at his lips.]

Wolf (banging on his desk with his desk-board) . "I demand the

floor for my motion! I won't stand this trampling of the Rules under foot --

no, not if I die for it! I will never yield! You have got to stop me by

force. Have I the floor?

P. "Representative Wolf, what kind of behavior is this? I call you

to order again. You should have some regard for your dignity."

Dr. Lecher speaks on. Wolf turns upon him with an offensive innuendo.

Dr. Lecher. "Mr. Wolf, I beg you to refrain from that sort of

suggestions." [Storm of hand-clapping from the Right.]

This was applause from the enemy, for Lecher himself, like Wolf,

was an Obstructionist.

Wolf growls to Lecher: "You can scribble that applause in your album!"

P. "Once more I call Representative Wolf to order! Do not forget

that you are a Representative, sir!"

Wolf (slam-banging with his desk-board). "I will force this

matter! Are you going to grant me the floor, or not?"

And still the sergeant-at-arms did not appear. It was because

there wasn't any. It is a curious thing, but the Chair has no effectual

means of compelling order.

After some more interruptions:

Wolf (banging with his board). "I demand the floor. I will not

yield!"

P. "I have no recourse against Representative Wolf. In the

presence of behavior like this it is to be regretted that such is the

case." [A shout from the Right, "Throw him out!"]

It is true, he had no effective recourse. He had an official

called an "Ordner," whose help he could invoke in desperate cases, but

apparently the Ordner is only a persuader, not a compeller. Apparently he

is a sergeant-at-arms who is not loaded; a good enough gun to look at, but

not valuable for business.

For another twenty or thirty minutes Wolf went on banging with his

board and demanding his rights; then at last the weary President

threatened to summon the dread order-maker. But both his manner and his

words were reluctant. Evidently it grieved him to have to resort to this

dire extremity. He said to Wolf, "If this goes on, I shall feel obliged to

summon the Ordner, and beg him to restore order in the House."

Wolf. "I'd like to see you do it! Suppose you fetch in a few

policemen, too! [Great tumult.] Are you going to put my motion to adjourn,

or not?"

Dr. Lecher continues his speech. Wolf accompanies him with his

board-clatter.

The President despatches the Ordner, Dr. Lang (himself a deputy),

on his order-restoring mission. Wolf, with his board uplifted for defense,

confronts the Ordner with a remark which Boss Tweed might have translated

into "Now let's see what you are going to do about it!" [Noise and tumult

all over the House.]

Wolf stands upon his rights, and says he will maintain them till

he is killed in his tracks. Then he resumes his banging, the President

jangles his bell and begs for order, and the rest of the House augments

the racket the best it can.

Wolf. "I require an adjournment, because I find myself personally

threatened. [Laughter from the Right.] Not that I fear for myself; I am

only anxious about what will happen to the man who touches me."

The Ordner. "I am not going to fight with you."

Nothing came of the efforts of the angel of peace, and he

presently melted out of the scene and disappeared. Wolf went on with his

noise and with his demands

*That is revolution.--M.T.

that he be granted the floor, resting his board

at intervals to discharge criticisms and epithets at the Chair. Once he

providing a
significant opportunity to strengthen the ties between the Fair Trade
and
Peace movements and to broaden the "post-Seattle" coalition into a
stronger
unified people's movement to turn the tide of Corporate-Military
Globalization.

Organized as a sequel to Seattle, the Mobilization for Global Justice
coincides with the start of the Spring meeting of the International
Monetary Fund (IMF) and World Bank in Washington. The week-long
series of
activities from April 9-17 features teach-ins and rallies focusing on
the
IMF and World Bank, the "star wars" missile defense system and the
arms
race in space, culminating in a rally on IMF/World Bank issues at the
Treasury on April 16 and a day-long "Keep Space for Peace" vigil on
the
steps of the Capitol on April 17.

As we head into the first election of the new millennium, in a nation
that
prides itself on its ideals of democracy, with "liberty and justice
for
all," where "all men are created equal," the world that our "leaders"
are
designing looks more like a cross beween "Brave New World" and the
galactic
Empire of "Star Wars!"

The intertwining tentacles of corporatization, militarization and
globalization were celebrated most eloquently by Thomas Friedman last
March
in the New York Times, when he wrote: "For globalism to work, America
can't
be afraid to act like the almighty superpower that it is. ... The
hidden
hand of the market will never work without a hidden fist - McDonald's
cannot flourish without McDonnell Douglas, the designer of the F-15.
And
the hidden fist that keeps the world safe for Silicon Valley's
technologies
is called the United States Army, Air Force, Navy and Marine Corps."
("What the World Needs Now," Thomas Friedman, New York Times, March
28,
1999)

The International Network on Disarmament and Globalization reports "In
many
respects, the WTO has marginalized the United Nations and has become
the
main venue for international relations and diplomacy. ... The WTO's
agenda
of promoting unfettered capitalism at the expense of a government's
ability
to control its economy for the benefit of its people contributes to
poverty, human rights violations, environmental degradation - all of
the
root causes of war. ...

"The result is the creation of the 'global war system.' In the
emerging
economies of the south, corporations demand weak labour and
environmental
standards to extract natural resources or build goods destined for
northern
markets. The economic interests of transnational corporations are
protected
by the technologically advanced militaries of their allies in northern
governments. And occasionally, 'cruise missile diplomacy' is used
against a
non-conforming nation." ("The WTO and War: Making the Connection",
http://www.indg.org)

50 Years Is Enough describes the IMF and World Bank as "the architects
of
the world economy" and says that the Structural Adjustment Programs
they
impose on third world nations as loan conditions serve the interests
of
multinational corporations and business elites, while increasing
poverty,
suffering and starvation, decreasing access to basic services,
promoting
sweatshops and exploitation, devastating the environment, increasing
the
concentration of wealth and restricting the ability of third world
governments to control their own economies. ("World Bank / IMF Fact

Big Oil And The Plan For Population Control
By Byron T. Weeks, MD
3-9-00

There are legitimate concerns about pollution. The very air we breath is
poisonous. Smog is irritating to the lungs and cases of chronic bronchitis
and emphysema are increasingly common. People are dying. The forests are
shrinking. The discharge of pollutants into the lakes and rivers is
poisoning the waters, and when the great rivers have collected all the
contaminating oil and sludge and discharged it into the oceans, the shrimp,
the salmon, the oysters, the fish, the whales, and the dolphins get sick and
die. And vital oxygen-giving plankton is gradually disappearing from the
seas.

We now have very large and effective environmental movements who are telling
us that the pollution of the ecosystems is killing the planet. These well
intentioned groups are being funded by big oil and the other large
corporations, and they are convinced that the causes of pollution directly
relate to overpopulation. They claim that there are just too many people on
the planet and, like infection in a host organism, they are causing the
earth to sicken and die. There are too many people with too many gasoline
powered cars, using too many petrochemicals and plastics, all of which end
up in the soil, in the water, and in the air we breath.

So now we are told that the world population must be reduced to an
environmentally sustainable level. Plans are afoot to do just that. The
globalist plan is to reduce the population over the next 20 years to about
ten percent of the present total by means of famine, NBC warfare,
contaminated vaccines, and mass murder. They plan to "re-wild" large parts
of the planet, especially in North and South America, and bring back the
mighty forests, and the flora and the fauna that existed before Columbus.
They are importing wolves and grizzly bears back into the populated areas.
Mountain lions may not be hunted, in order to increase their numbers and
restore the "balance of nature.

Top members of the ultra-rich elites, [the New World Order] such as Ted
Turner and the Rockefellers, have bought up vast tracts of land and
established huge ranches. They are raising large herds of elk, antelope, and
buffalo which will be used in the re-wilding process. Eventually, according
the the master plan, the forests and the rivers, and the vast, fertile
plains will be teeming with wild life, and the people, with their cattle and
horses and sheep, their smog belching automobiles, and their factories laden
with chemical smoke, will all be gone. The disarmed farmers, ranchers, and
townspeople will one day be moved out of the Heritage sites and UN
Biospheres, and it will be done by the lethal force of UN soldiers and armed
gangs, if necessary.

Deliberate attempts to reduce the food supply are underway. Hybrid seeds
which germinate only once are replacing natural grains. Farmers are paid not
to grow crops. Use of chemical and natural fertilizers is being reduced. The
World Trade Organization, along with NAFTA and GATT are strangling the stock
raisers, the wheat farmers, and the Potato growers by rendering profitless
what they have long produced, and importing grains, beef, wool, and produce
from foreign countries where labor is cheap and people are just another
commodity. According to the master plan, North America, the bread basket of
the world, will revert to wilderness once more. South America will be
depopulated and the jungles of the Amazon will return to the former
unpolluted and pristine state.

So goes the great GLOBAL 2000 plan as devised by the globalist Committee of
300 and the Club of Rome. But wait just a moment, here! Are these theories
valid? Who are the real major polluters of the planet? Who sinks the oil
wells and produces the gasoline? Who builds the internal combustion engines?
Who manufactures the petrochemicals, and the petroleum and coal tar derived
pharmaceuticals? Who, through the power of great wealth, has influenced the
Congress and the state legislators to pass laws prohibiting the development
of non petroleum, non polluting energy sources? Do the people know that the
researches of Nicola Tesla, Wilhelm Reich, Neuman, and others, who have
developed the overunity engines and other free energy devices have been
suppressed? There are ways of drawing limitless energy from the Van Allen
belt, and from the electromagnetic fields of the earth itself...

There are actual methods of producing energy by extraction of burnable
hydrogen from water. There are batteries and fuel cells

CTRL has nothing to do with aol other than it is hosted by aol listserv. CTRL
began as a project of www.parascope which had a greenhouse contract to
produce content for the fledgling aol. CTRL's owners are listed and are
public. Ownership consist of nothing but reponsibilities towards upkeep. When
the list was first set-up there were archives provided by aol. I found them
hard to acces, but they did work. One day they were gone, aol's relations
with their greenhouse accounts was slim and the growth of aol caused more
problems than CTRL and our several inquires were were promptly ignored. The
only "controlls" excercised on this list is that which is inserted by several
varing agendas of its participants and the various psyches, their outlooks
and execution of their thought processes. Conspiracy Theory has a learning
curve of various degrees depending on personal experience, prejudices and
research.

CTRL cost me personally time and about $125 a month for the archive service
of lsoft. I could move to a free list but find the incertainty of archive
storage and the ease and breadth of the lsoft worth it. The archives to me
are a valuable resource and offers a searchable database.

Remember FEAR is much easier for "them" to control you by. My motives are the
redemption of our constitution and my children and grandchildren. I do have a
personal issue at stake also, "these folks" really screwed my dad's life
around. So ya'll can take it for what it 's worth - let us not fight each
other but work towards understanding. For if you truly wish to "beat" "them"
it is gonna take a bucn of us frommany various backgrounds. Understanding is
key. Fear, ignorance and hoodwink are there great weapons.
Well , I must go much to do around here in my absence. More later.

The RIIA is the parent organization of the CFR in the U.S.
The RIIA was originally named the "Round Table Group".
Cecil Rhodes (who founded and funded the Rhodes Scholarships),
was one of the founders of RIIA. Details are available in the book
Tragedy and Hope by Professor Carroll Quigley, Columbia Univ.
Quigley was Bill Clinton's "mentor". Clinton also wrote a book.
It's title is: Between Hope and History. (Where do you suppose he
came up with this catchy title?)
Clinton, of course, was a "Rhodes Scholar"...as was Bill Bradley...
as was George Stephanopolis (now with ABC-TV).
At one time or another, there have been more than a dozen
Rhodes Scholars in the Clinton Administration.
A few weeks after Clinton was first elected President, and before
he was was sworn-in to Office, Clinton hosted a well-publicized
meeting. Some of the top leaders from business, industry, education,
finance, and science were invited to participate. The event was
broadcast live on CSPAN. The participants were seated in a circle.
Bill Clinton personally introduced each speaker with these words:
"Would you please welcome (name of person) as he joins

If anyone has contact with the Buchanan Organization,
you might forward the following information.
Gasoline prices will be an issue in Presidential Election.
With this information, Buchanan might be able to
throw some gas on the fire!
 Nakano
___

Just 13 months ago, Feb. of 1999,
we had the lowest gasoline prices in history!
According to U.S. Dept. of Energy figures, the National Average Price
for a gallon of Unleaded Regular was 90.7 cents. (When adjusted
for inflation, this is the lowest gas price the DOE
has recorded since reporting began.

Here's the point.
The U.S. Senate acquitted Bill Clinton of the Impeachment
charges on February 12, 1999. This is the very same time
that gas prices hit the all-time low!
Within 2 weeks after Clinton was acquitted, gas prices
started climbing...and they have continued to climb to
where they are today. The latest DOE Reports gives
the National Average Price for Unleaded Regular as
$1.53 per gallon.
Bill Clinton was acquitted 63 cents ago!

6 months before Clinton's impeachment, the average
price per gallon was $1.07.
The price decreased 17 cents per gallon leading up to
the impeachment vote in the Senate.
The price was 90.7 cents when the Senate acquitted him.
It has gone up 63 cents a gallon since then.

THAT'S A MIGHTY BIG COINCIDENCE ISN'T IT?

Cheap energy prices were one of the main reasons our
National Economy has been so good.
A lot of people in this country did not want to see Clinton
removed from Office because of the good economy.

[CTRL] Controlled List?

2000-03-25 Thread tenebroust

-Caveat Lector- A HREF="http://www.ctrl.org/"
/A -Cui Bono?-

From time to time this issue has arisen here as people ask if this list is being
duped or controlled (in good conspiratorial fashion I might add). There is no way to
know for sure, since we could all be lying about who we are and what we do, thus if I
say I am just a Joe Sixpack who lives in Pennsylvania and have no connections to the
government it might be true, or I might, in fact be working out of an office deep in
the bowels of some government computer lab in Virginia. It really does no good for
us to question the validity of this list and those who post here, since we can never
KNOW that what we read is real. Thus I ASSUME that some of what is presented here is
propaganda and designed to spread a belief or a mindset, whether sent by a government
infiltrator, or someone else with an agenda that they strongly believe in. BUT, not
all of it is. One must be able to read and judge for ones own self. Take what is
valuable to you and discard the rest. Conspiracy Theory is much like any other
"Belief System", be it religion or otherwise. Typically, one has a dogma that "just
seems right to you" and one shapes ones views according to that dogma, accepting
evidence that fits the model, rejecting and discrediting evidence that does not.
Just like religious belief (and other dogmas that are strongly held). I'll give you
an example. I don't believe that UFO's are EVER hard physical craft that are from
and or piloted by aliens from somehwere other than Earth. I will scoff at "evidence"
(see I even put the word evidence in parentheses to illustrate my lack of trust in
it) that would seem to support this notion. I will gladly refute and discredit that
evidence and embrace evidence that promotes my beliefs.
Conspiracy theory is this way, it becomes a dogma with a set of parameters that each
of us have and hold dear.
Having said all that it is important to keep an open mind and be willing to at least
listen to other points of view, and to allow others to express those views (though
there are some topics which are discouraged from this list due to past circumstances)
without rancor.
I believe this list does an admirable job of it, even though I scoff at or give no
credence to some of what is presented here, I am thankful that the posters have a
place to go and a venue to share that information, and I am glad I am a part of it.
Of course, I may just be an advanced computer program. . .

US Politics

Buchanan Attacks US Foreign Policy

A bombing run a day, keeps Osama Bin Laden away.

SAN MATEO, Calif. (AP) -- Reform Party presidential contender Pat Buchanan
said Friday that elitists in the Democratic and Republican parties have
crafted a ''neo-imperial foreign policy'' of U.S. intervention in conflicts
around the world even when American interests are harmed.
The former Republican, in language reminiscent of the isolationist movement
prior to World War II, said his party could serve as ''a peace party''
working to keep America out of ''the religious, ethnic and territorial wars
of less fortunate lands.''

The United States risks becoming ''a policeman who goes about night-sticking
troublemakers until we, too, find ourselves in some bloody brawl we cannot
handle,'' Buchanan said in remarks prepared for an antiwar conference
sponsored by the Center for Libertarian Studies.

The Reform Party ''will become a noninterventionist party, a peace party,
that will reach out to Americans of right and left who reject the Third Way
imperialism,'' Buchanan said. ''Only an engaged and informed citizenry can
bring about a reversal of the neo-imperial foreign policy that has been
foisted upon us in the post-Cold War era by the elites of both Beltway
parties.''

Buchanan attacked the foreign policy credentials of Texas Gov. George W.
Bush, the presumptive Republican nominee. ''The governor has exhibited
neither absorbing interest nor extraordinary aptitude for foreign policy --
to put it generously,'' he said.

Buchanan also criticized Vice President Al Gore, the presumptive Democratic
party presidential nominee, for advocating Clinton administration airstrikes
against nations such as Iraq and Serbia and hits on alleged terrorists
operations in Sudan in recent years.

Gore ''exhibits a New Republic-style lust for cruise missile strikes on rogue
nations,'' Buchanan said, adding that U.S. sanctions, military strikes and
intervention have prompted ''a seething resentment of America'' around the
world.

Buchanan drew the strongest applause of his speech when he said that if
elected, he would pull all U.S. troops out of the ''Balkan quagmire'' by the
end of his first year in office and remove American soldiers from Europe by
the end of his first term.

In remarks after his address, Buchanan said the West should not ''walk away''
from the situation in Kosovo, but instead should get its European allies to
police the region.

In the Middle East, U.S. troops ''stand ready to die'' to defend Saudi Arabia
and Kuwait from Iran and Iraq even though the four countries are conspiring
to keep oil prices high and ''gouge U.S. consumers,'' he said.

I 've said it before, and I'll say it again. I sincerely believe that Posner
is a government plant used to write this "unbelievable" crap extolling the
"guilt" of those formally charged with the assassinations of JFK and MLK.
Up until Posner's book "Case Closed"?; there were numerous accounts with
credible facts and testimonies put forth in book after book making the
"Warren Commision" look like a bunch of fools.(Personally, I don't believe
the members of the W.C. really believed their own accounts of the murder of
JFK) They are just too intelligent to swallow the info. claiming those
"alleged" facts concerning Oswald's guilt as the "lone nut" who was able to
kill JFK all by himself. I also find it hard to believe that Posner really
believes that info.
Whatever you were paid Posner, I hope it was truly worth it to you, because
you really sold-out your credibility as a reasonable intelligent person.
I mean, after digesting all the info. put forth regarding the murder, how is
it that you can think your "spin" on all of it can hold water? Where is your
deductive reasoning?
Your book did nothing in the way of swaying the public's opinion regarding
JFK's murder. It just made you look like a fool who sold-out to the powers
that be in an effort to sway the American public's opinion-but to no
avail-really!

Just my opinion,

* Most of the package is military aid. The Clinton

Included below is a very interesting article from the Dallas Morning
News on U.S. "military specialty companies" looking to profit from the
U.S. military "aid" package to Colombia, and additional information
discovered in the course of looking further into the companies
mentioned
in the article.

Pay particular note to this little revelation: "Two Virginia-based
companies, DynCorp Inc. and Military Professional Resources Inc., or
MPRI, are completing contracts related to logistical support and
training of Colombian police and counterinsurgency forces ... [MPRI]
should be well-placed for a contract, since it also helped the
Colombian
government devise the official, three-phase "action plan" that was
presented to Congress last month outlining how the $1.6 billion would
be
allocated."

Which is made all the MORE interesting by some of MPRI's and DynCorp's
other recent involvements in areas of U.S. military activity...

An article in this week's London Sunday Times reported that American
"diplomatic observers" in the Kosovo Verification Mission of the OSCE
(Organisation for Security and Co-operation in Europe) prior to last
year's bombing campaign were in fact "a CIA front, gathering
intelligence on the KLA's arms and leadership." The article concluded
by stating: "Agim Ceku, the KLA commander in the latter stages of the
[Kosovo] conflict, had established American contacts through his work
in
the Croatian army, which had been modernised with the help of Military
Professional Resources Inc, an American company specialising in
military
training and procurement. This company's personnel were in Kosovo,
along
with others from a similar company, Dyncorps, that helped in the
American-backed programme for the Bosnian army."

Michel Chossudovsky, author of "The Globalization of Poverty: Impacts
of
IMF and World Bank Reforms" and a vocal critic of U.S./NATO actions in
Kosovo, refers to MPRI as a "U.S. mercenary outfit" and stated last
year
that "MPRI is on contract to advise the KLA and General Agim Ceku
(financed by U.S. military aid). In 1995, MPRI advised the Croatian
armed forces in the planning of Operation Storm which led to the
massacre of Krajina Serbs."

In "Humanitarian Spies", Jared Israel, editor of the "Emperor's
Clothes"
website, reported: "The U.S. verification team was composed of
employees
of Dyncorp, a Virginia company that has grown rich off Government
work.
At the 1992 Senate hearings on R. James Woolsey's appointment as head
of
the CIA, Woolsey commented: "I own less than one-quarter of one
percent
of the -- diluted shares of a company named Dyncorp here in the
Washington, D.C. area. And the corporation has, from time to time, had
a
handful of very small contracts with the Central Intelligence Agency."
... Dyncorp's "very small contracts" have included covert work for the
Company in Columbia and Peru."

By the way, DynCorp announced last month that Ambassador William
Courtney, a former National Security Council senior staff director who
recently co-chaired the U.S. delegation to the Review Conference of
the
OSCE, has now joined the company as president of its Security and
Intelligence Unit, DynMeridian.

A "leading information technology and outsourcing services firm" with
annual revenues of more than $1.2 billion (which I dare say would make
R. James Woolsey's "less than one-quarter of one percent" worth a

The Thousand Conspiracy - Secret Germany Behind the Mask
Paul Winkler
Charles Scribner’s Sons©1943
New York
381 pps. – First Edition – Out-of-print
-

"I know no way of judging the future but by the past."

PATRICK HENRY
[Speech at the Virginia Assembly, May 17651

--[bookflaps]--

This amazing and engrossing book undertakes to show that Nazism should not be
regarded as simply the product of some "spontaneous, generation" of Adolf
Hitler's evil genius, since Hitler’s ideas had all. been voiced before in
Germany, but that there was a common inspiration of these ideas that had its
roots deep in German history.

Paul Winkler's researches show that these roots go back a millennium. The
book takes its title from the words of a deputy in the Bavarian Landtag who,
in 1921, when Hitler was still a nonentity, announced in the Parliament that
the sheaf of documents he held in his hand was evidence of a conspiracy going
back a thousand years, a conspiracy he intended to expose. A few days
afterwards, before his scheduled speech could be delivered, he was
assassinated, apparently by the very influences he was determined to unmask.
His murderers went unpunished; his evidence was never revealed. The secret
forces continued along their hidden way, and eighteen years later embarked
openly on world conquest.

The researches on which this book is based undoubtedly include the murdered
deputy's evidence, with much more of even greater importance. From Paul
Winkler's studies emerge the contours of a conspiracy, very old but very
real—a conspiracy whose existence, though fantastic at first thought, is the
only 'possible explanation of the present-day facts of Nazism. It is the
secret Germany of the "Prusso-Teutonics", whose roots reach back beyond the
days of the Crusades. This secret Germany has been obscured for long periods
of European history, but it has lived on continuously for centuries, always
rising to dominance again and consistently driving its people along paths
completely divergent from those taken by the other peoples of Western
Civilization.

Shedding new light on European history as it does, this is a book of the very
broadest significance. Its message must be grasped if we are to shape the
future.

About the Author

The first ambition of Paul Winkler, a European journalist who came to this
country in 1940, was to become a biologist. World War I put an end to that
for he realized that the period which followed it would be one of unrest and
he preferred writing and journalism to scientific isolation. The chief reason
for his preference was a desire to spread an understanding of vital problems
throughout a wide public. Soon after the war he founded a newspaper feature
syndicate which fifteen years later had grown to be Europe's largest. He was
also the second largest magazine publisher in France and he continued always
to write widely on the subjects which interested him. His
acquaintance with European statesmen was extensive and he acted as Eduoard
Herrioes adviser in press matters. When Germany turned Nazi in 1933, Paul
Winkler was not one of the many who believed Hider's Stormtroopers were an
entirely new phenomenon. He had been interested in Germany ever since the
last war and had spent several months in the Ruhr with the French army of
occupation. Hitler he remembered from his early days in Munich where he was a
correspondent for a time. He made several visits to Austria and watched the
first systematic steps toward Anschluss. In the ante-chambers of the League
of Nations and during its sessions he watched the Machiavellian maneuvers of
the German delegates. In 1935 he covered the Saar plebiscite. And the more he
saw of the present developments in Germany the more convinced Paul Winkler
became that the explanation of Hitler and the Nazis lay far behind the
Versailles Treaty. He turned to historical research and spent several years
working at the Sorbonne, of which he is a graduate, at the Bibliothique
Nationale and at the British Museum. His book was nearly completed when the
Germans invaded France and he was forced to destroy first, his notes, and
then his entire manuscript. After Mr. Winkler came to this country, he at
once began anew on "The Thousand Year Conspiracy: Secret Germany Behind the
Mask". He is now head of the Press Alliance, a newspaper syndicate very much
like the one he had in France.

Foreword

This book attempts to contribute to the work of identification of the forces
behind Nazism. It results from research undertaken to substantiate this
hypothesis: that Nazism is not the product of some "spontaneous generation"
crystallized by Hitler's evil genius; and that it is not-as it has often been
described-simply a reaction to the harsh terms of the Versailles treaty;
finally, that Nazism does not derive from some basic trait of the German
character.

Chapter I is introductory: It presents a few characteristic

The RIIA is the parent organization of the CFR in the U.S.
The RIIA was originally named the "Round Table Group".

Close, but not exactly.

The CFR AND the RIIA were started together. Both grew out of the Round
Table groups.

Cecil Rhodes (who founded and funded the Rhodes Scholarships),
was one of the founders of RIIA.

That would have been hard to do since he died before the RIIA
came into being in 1921/22. I believe he died in 1902.

 THE ROUND TABLE GROUPS --

After the death of Cecil Rhodes in 1902, Lord Milner became one of the
executors of Rhodes' trust. He organized " discreet " discussion /
study / work groups known as the Round Table Groups throughout the
Empire, including America. On May 30, 1919 members of different national
delegations to the Paris Peace Conference met at the Hotel Majestic to
discuss setting up an international group which would advise their
 respective governments on international affairs.

The planning delegations decided upon creating separate organizations
cooperating with each other. They organized the Council on Foreign
Relations ( Harrold Pratt House on East 68th Street in New York City.
In 1922, it began publishing it's official mouthpiece, Foreign Affairs
 Magazine - http://www.foreignaffairs.org), and a sister organization,
the Royal Institute of International Affairs, in London, also known as
the Chatham House Study Group, to advise the British Government. A
subsidiary organization, the Institute of Pacific Relations, was set up
to deal with Far Eastern Affairs.

"Would you please welcome (name of person) as he joins
our Round Table discussion."

Could we all agree to a sort of "I won't tell you about my religious beliefs
if you do not tell me about yours?" I will further spare you those of some
of my neighbors and distant relatives and on and on. On this list religion
should only be discussed in the context of conspiracies, not the "error of
our ways and beliefs". I think we are all thinking people and have long ago
established our belief systems. I have yet to see a conversion on list!
Rarely even a change in opinion as we all tend to be rather opinionated,
too. In other words, this is the proverbial "wrong tree" to bark up
religion.

Oh for the days of aluminum jackets and caps and room linings. The good old
days of sleuth and stealth and more than meets the eye. The unearthing of
hidden connections and plots afoot! Now it is like a scanning across AM
radio in rural areas on Sunday morning--all sorts of voices with all sorts
of messages preaching.

This just is NOT the list for all of this religion. If folks insist on
continuing to swamp the list with these posts, perhaps each of us should
write them off list and "share" our beliefs, traditions, concerns and all
aspects of our religious life with them. It is arrogant to assume to
enlighten others in this area when they do not wish to be enlightened, let
alone sold something.

 A Republic, Not an
  Empire Patrick J.
 Buchanan

Let me begin by commending you all
 - on the campaign by Antiwar.com
 and the Center for Libertarian
Studies - to forge a new
 anti-interventionist American
 coalition. Only an engaged and
 informed citizenry can bring about
 a reversal of the neo-imperial
 foreign policy that has been
foisted upon us in the post-Cold
War era by the elites of both
 Beltway parties.

Foreign policy, they tell us, is
not an issue in this election
year. By that they mean it is off
 the table, a matter already
decided upon and settled by those
who know what is best for America.
 So they, and their media
 auxiliaries, redirect our
 attention away from foreign policy
to such burning national issues as
the dating policy at Bob Jones
 University.

What is best for America and the
world, they tell us, is that the
 United States should remain a
 superpower sheriff, the Wyatt Earp
of the West, possessed of the sole
right to deputize posses, or go it
 alone if necessary, to discipline
 evil-doers, wherever our "values"
are threatened. I submit that this
foreign policy poses a great and
growing danger to the peace and
 security of the United States.

Last year, for 78 days, U.S.
 pilots flew thousands of missions
 against Serbia, destroying
 bridges, factories, electrical
 grids, and, yes, even hospitals,
 schools and the occasional
 embassy. Yet, before launching his
 war, Mr. Clinton never received
 the authorization of Congress. But
as a consequence of our triumph
over Serbia, young men and women
 from California, Kentucky, Florida
and Maine are in Kosovo policing
 territory that has been violently
 contested for hundreds of years.

As of now, we do not know if U.S.
troops will end up fighting Serbs,
 or Kosovar Albanians, or first
one, then the other. But it is a
 near certainty that United States
will one day be forced to pull out
of Kosovo, after having earned the
lasting hatred of Serbs -- a
people who never harmed the United
States -- and of the Albanians,
 whose aspirations will not be
satisfied until the U.S. helps to
 carve out an ethnically pure
 Greater Albania.

Look at the balance sheet of Bill
 Clinton's unconstitutional war.
 NATO, a defensive alliance,
 launched an offensive war against
a nation that threatened no member
 of that alliance, dissipating the
 moral authority with which NATO
had emerged from the Cold War.
 Serbia is smashed. Montenegro and
 Macedonia are destabilized. Kosovo
 was purged first of Albanians,
then of Serbs. And lies in ruins.
 U.S. relations with China and
 Russia have been damaged. For
what? So we and NATO could police
 in perpetuity a Balkan province
 that has not the remotest
 connection to U.S. vital
interests. Such are the fruits of
 neo-imperialism.

Meanwhile, a decade after the Gulf
 War, American soldiers and airmen
stand ready to die to defend Saudi
Arabia and Kuwait from Iran and
Iraq - as Saudi Arabia and Kuwait
conspire with Iran and Iraq to
keep oil prices over $30 a barrel
-- to loot America and gouge U.S.
 consumers.

For ten years, the U.S. has played
 the dominant role in maintaining
rigid sanctions on Iraq. By one UN
 estimate, these sanctions have
 resulted in the premature deaths

Communist Tyrant Josef Stalin

March 22, 2000 NA (Network America) e-wire

Censorship by De-Emphasis

Stalin seems to get a lot of play on this e-wire and regarding this
subject – but it’s only because he was so good at dictator-ing.

He would publish 100,000 of his own pamphlets, and allow his opponent to
publish 2000. The Big Media and the Ruling Elite do the same today.

Case in point: On March 20, 2000 Patrick Buchanan held a Press
Conference in D.C in which he released his complaint against the Federal
Election Commission regarding the Presidential debates and other
matters. The next step will be a lawsuit, if the Federal Election
Commission doesn’t shape up.

As far as we know, this absolutely vital Buchanan press conference was
played on C-Span once --- and if it was covered anywhere else I sure
didn’t see it. I found out from my brother-in-law the next day. I still
haven’t seen any coverage of it.

Why? The Ruling Elite and the Big Media are on the run; they’re holding
on by their fingernails to keep up their brand of censorship by
de-emphasis. They’ve been here before, and they’ve won. Because our side
is disoriented, doesn’t know how to hit them at the sensitive spots, and
keeps accepting the parameters which these political devils set for us.

Even though the other third parties are justifiably outraged for being
totally censored, especially the Constitution Party and Howard Phillips
--- look how Pat and Bay Buchanan, and now Pat Choate, are putting the
entire New World Order Establishment on the defensive with the little
publicity they get. (The Big Media is angling towards total censorship
of Buchanan by the next round, but know that total censorship now would
wake too many up. Without a fair vote count, the Media will say Buchanan
is a “non-factor” by 2004 – due to the less than 5% Buchanan may well
get under computerized vote counting.)

The Big Media is currently pushing the line that Buchanan, the most
prominent challenger to their duopoly by far, can’t possible get more
than 5%. This is the same propaganda they were pushing in early 1996
when Phil Graham had $28 million in the bank and Buchanan was openly
called a “not serious” candidate.

If Buchanan really could not possibly pull more than 5% because times
are “so good” – then there wouldn’t be a universally enforced Big Press
policy against him, and Rush Limbaugh wouldn’t being searching and
scanning for trivial matters with which to knock Pat whenever possible.
Incidentally, numerous readers of this e-wire have sent Rush Limbaugh,
G. Gordon Liddy, and Ollie North copies of some of these e-wires. As
commentators who are on the “cutting edge” of truth – when do you think
they’ll mention anything to do with Vote Fraud and computerized
elections?

Back to the suppressed press conference: the Ruling Elite obviously is
in a quandary as to what to do about the debates. Keeping Buchanan and
perhaps others out will show them for what they are to more people than
ever. Letting Buchanan and perhaps others IN, will show them for what
they are to more people than ever. We concerned citizens must really
turn up the heat. This censorship by de-emphasis of this press
conference is a real sign of nervousness on the part of the Big Boys.
(At the same time, I notice Darva Conger, ex-wife-for-a-day of
‘millionaire’ Rick Rockwell – is getting PLENTY of air time.)

What do I mean by the breaking out of the parameters set for us by the
Big Media? Start saying, e-mailing, and showing up at rallies with signs
-- to convey the message that we will not view the election results as
legitimate if we don’t have citizen ballot counts in the neighborhood
precincts. Nothing less will do. And don’t be swayed or softened by any
of the Election establishment’s phony, meaningless concessions.

Incidentally, we have quite an impressive array of individuals who have
come forth to be coordinators or points of contact in various counties
around the country. I’m going to publish the names of those who have
volunteered – who have given permission, and perhaps their addresses,
but not emails at this time. (Perhaps organizers could set up free email
addresses on hotmail or yahoo which would be devoted to the votefraud
fight, thus keeping their main e-mail addresses free for normal
business.)

I can feel that the organization around demanding honest elections is
about to mushroom.

SAN JOSE MERCURY NEWS - Thursday, March 23, 2000

  The Military CNN

  by Alexander Cockburn

A handful of military personnel from the 4th Psychological
Operations Group (i.e. PSYOPs) based at Fort Bragg in North
Carolina have until recently been working in CNN's
headquarters in Atlanta. An enterprising Dutch journalist
named Abe De Vries came up with this important story in
mid-February, and he remains properly astounded that no
mainstream news medium in the United States has evinced
  any interest in the story.

I came across translations of De Vries' stories on the
matter, after they had appeared in late February in Trouw,
the foremost quality newspaper in Holland.

De Vries later told me he'd originally come upon the story
via an article in the French Intelligence newsletter
(available on a pay-per-story basis on the Internet) Feb.
17, which described a military symposium in Arlington,
Va., held at the beginning of that same month, discussing
use of the press in military operations.

Col. Christopher St. John, commander of the U.S. Army's
4th PSYOPs Group, was quoted by a French Intelligence
correspondent, present at the symposium, as (in the
correspondent's words) having ``called for greater
cooperation between the armed forces and media giants.
He (St. John) pointed out that some Army PSYOPs personnel
had worked for CNN for several weeks, and helped in the
production of some news stories for the network.''

Reading this in Belgrade, where he's Trouw's correspondent,
De Vries saw a good story, picked up the phone, and finally
reached Maj. Thomas Collins of the U.S. Army Information
Service, who duly confirmed the presence of these Army
PSYOPs experts at CNN. ``PSYOPs personnel, soldiers and
officers,'' De Vries quoted Collins as telling him, ``have
been working in CNN's headquarters in Atlanta through our
program `Training with Industry.' They worked as regular
employees of CNN. Conceivably, they would have worked on
stories during the Kosovo war. They helped in the
  production of news.''

I reported this interesting disclosure in my newsletter,
CounterPunch, and made it the topic of my regular weekly
broadcast to ``AM Live,'' a program of the South Africa
Broadcasting Company in Johannesburg. Among the audience
of this broadcast was CNN's bureau in South Africa, which
lost no time in relaying news of it to CNN headquarters in
Atlanta, and I duly received an angry phone call from Eason
Jordan, who identified himself as CNN's president of news
  gathering and international networks.

Jordan was full of indignation that I had somehow compromised
the reputation of CNN. But in the course of our conversation,
it turned out that, yes, CNN had hosted a total of five
interns from U.S. Army PSYOPs, two in television, two in
radio, and one in satellite operations. Jordan said the
program had begun on June 7 (just before the end of the war
against Serbia), and only recently terminated, I would guess
at about the time CNN's higher management read Abe De Vries'
  stories.

Naturally enough, Eason Jordan and other executives at CNN
now describe the Army PSYOPs intern tours at CNN as having
been insignificant. Maybe so. Col. St. John, the commanding
officer of the PSYOPs group, certainly thought them of
sufficient significance to mention at that high-level
Pentagon pow-wow in Arlington about propaganda and
psychological warfare. Maybe CNN was the target of a
PSYOPs penetration and is still too naive to figure out
  what was going on.

It's hard not to laugh when CNN execs like Eason Jordan
start spouting, as he did to me, high-toned stuff about
CNN's principles of objectivity and refusal to relay
  government propaganda.

During the war on Serbia, as with other recent conflicts
involving the United States, CNN's screen was filled with
an interminable procession of U.S. officers. On April 27
of last year, Amy Goodman of the Pacifica Radio network
put the following question to Frank Sesno, who is CNN's
senior vice president for political coverage.

GOODMAN: ``If you support the practice of putting ex-
military men -- generals -- on the payroll to share their
opinion during a time of war, would you also support putting
peace activists on the payroll to give a different opinion
  during a time of war?

SESNO: ``We bring the generals in because of their expertise
in a particular area. We call them analysts. We don't bring
them in as advocates. In fact, we actually talk to them

Geneticists find Irish are a race apart

Emerald Isle westerners share unique Y chromosome type

March 22 — Irish geneticists have used surnames
and the male Y chromosome to reconstruct a
1,000-year-old genetic map of Ireland that shows
the Irish really are a race apart.

“WHEN YOU look at this old genetic geography of
Ireland what you find is that in the West (of the country) we
are almost exclusively of one type of Y chromosome,” Daniel
 Bradley said Wednesday.

The Y chromosome is passed down exclusively from
father to son. It is a favorite of geneticists because it
 accentuates differences between populations.

“It is inherited as a unit so the information you get from
it is of a special type,” Bradley said.
Bradley and his colleagues at Trinity College in Dublin
examined the Y chromosomes of men with Gaelic surnames
in the western-most province of Connaught, and found that
98.3 percent had a group of genes on the Y chromosome
 known as haplogroup 1.

“When you look at Gaelic surnames they are different in
frequency of Y chromosome types from non-Gaelic
 surnames,” Bradley said.

In a report in the science journal Nature, he and his
colleagues said that even within Ireland they found
 differences.

  Exploring our roots

More than 98 percent of men with Gaelic names in
western Ireland had haplogroup 1 but numbers dropped
drastically on the east of the Emerald Isle.
Much further east in Turkey only 1.8 percent of men
 carry haplogroup 1.

“Ireland may tell us something about European diversity
because it is on the edge of Europe. Genetic diversity follows
geography to some extent,” Bradley said.

The researchers said there is a gradient of haplogroup 1
across Europe starting at almost zero in
the Far East to almost 100 percent in the west of Ireland.

One of the most likely explanations for this is that farming,
which was invented about 10,000 years ago in the near East and
caused a fundamental revolution in the way humans
lived, spread over across Europe with time but only arrived in
western Ireland about 6,000 years ago.

“Ireland has been relatively untouched by this and the
other great demographic movements because of its
 location
That gives us the ability to look at the west and surnames and to
get a snapshot of what early European genetics may have been like,”
 Bradley said.

If I remember correctly, haven't both the creationists AND the
evolutionists ultimately decided that we all come from a common
 ancestor?

Interestingly worded. The creationists believe we all come from
Adam and Eve which is only a legend and has no bearing on reality.

Evolutionists could say we all evolved from a particular bacterium
and would probably be right. But we are talking about a much later
point in evolution where we branched off and became proto humans.

If that is the case, then tribalism is a moot point.

Not at all. Tribalism was for most of our history an evolutionary
necessity and is to this day a biological fact. Everyone is tribal.
But not everyone sees their tribe as defined by clan or race or
religion or nationality.

Doctors may see themselves as part of the " doctor tribe " and not
as part of the Jewish tribe or African descendant tribe.

The best
example is that of the " elites." They see themselves as members of
the elite tribe who are defined by great wealth and feel that only they
should run the show. By this example, the Rothschilds may be of Jewish
extraction and may have Jewish interests, but they have more in common
with other members of their tribe like the Rockerfellers ( Baptists ),
the Sultan of Brunai ( Moslem ), and the Angellis ( Catholic ). And
even the Pope who is the head of a particular religious tribe and operates
among the tribe of elites.

I agree 100%. It's because of constant prosyletizing that Ali's posts make
me so angry. I have my own feelings about David Koresh, and they're at odds
with his. I agree that there may very well be a government conspiracy
involved in all of this. But Andrew has Koresh is Christ'ed me to absolute
anger and disgust. This is not the only list he's been on doing his
preaching, and I've watched him insult and accuse everyone who disagrees
with him of being a cop, and tell them that they'll burn in hell, that they
are responsible for killing the children at Branch Davidian. I will not
argue with him anymore. I will consider him a waste of my time. But If he
libels people I know, or insults others on the list, I will respond.

[CTRL] Mental Illness American Dream (Pt 2)

2000-03-25 Thread Alamaine

-Caveat Lector- A HREF="http://www.ctrl.org/"
/A -Cui Bono?-

From www.wsws.org

WSWS : News Analysis : North America
Mental illness and the American Dream: Part 2
A comment by Frank Brenner
25 March 2000
Back to screen version

This is the conclusion of a two-part series. The first part appeared on March
24.

The American dream

Let's say what the Surgeon-General's report could not: the underlying cause of
mental illness is desperate unhappiness. This is so obvious (at least to the
ideologically unblinkered) that it almost seems to cry out from the report's
findings. Add to this the fact that the epidemic of mental illness is global
(with the statistics for other industrialized countries much the same as US
levels or else quickly catching up to them) and something else becomes
clear—that the underlying cause of the unhappiness is capitalism.

But probably nowhere else in the world is unhappiness a more unpopular subject
than in the land of the American dream. Everywhere you are surrounded by images
of happiness and success—TV sitcoms and Hollywood happy endings and Calvin
Klein billboards and celebrity faces staring at you from virtually every
magazine cover and tabloid front page. Of course bad news gets lots of
attention, but only after it's been sensationalized (or demonized or
trivialized) by the mass media—that is, after it's been stripped of its
relevance to most people's lives; sensibilities get so deadened in this way
that a basketball game can be more involving than watching a city get blown up.
This kind of unhappiness does little to disrupt the veneer of happiness that
envelops American society.

In official ideology, social classes don't exist in America, only "winners" and
"losers" do, and the promise of the American dream is that everybody can be a
"winner." That dream was always a mirage; 150 years ago, Thoreau already saw
the unhappy truth: “The mass of men lead lives of quiet desperation.”[1] Since
that time, the mirage has become much more sophisticated and alluring: the cult
of success and celebrity lets everyone be a "winner" vicariously. But the
desperation has also intensified. Consider, for instance, the misery contained
in these facts: America now has the longest work year of any industrialized
country in the world. The average American married couple now works 6 weeks
more each year than it did in 1989 (and 15 weeks more than it did in 1979).[2]
What's left of life after a 50- or 55-hour workweek and another 25 to 30 hours
of unpaid work at home? People are worked like machines and run into the
ground—until their hearts stop or their minds snap. And, for all that
sacrifice, they have less and less to show for it, as living standards fall and
the class divide broadens into a chasm. It almost goes without saying that most
people are condemned to mind-numbing (and eventually soul-destroying) jobs,
which nevertheless they're terrified of losing. And family life, which used to
be, at least to some extent, a haven from the misery of the outside world is
now more likely to be itself a source of pain and distress that is often
emotionally devastating.

For many people it keeps getting harder to bear their desperation quietly. But
what can they do? Who can they turn to? The traditional channels for social
discontent—the Democratic Party, the trade unions, protest movements—are all
dead ends, and widely perceived as such. Besides, in a world that just seems to
stare back at you with a blank smile, it's difficult even to see what
connection your desperation has with reality. And then there is the immense
pressure to conform that makes itself felt in every corner of American life, so
that it isn't just those with diagnosable mental illnesses who are
"stigmatized" but all too often anyone who "acts weird" or who simply doesn't
"fit in." Under these conditions, it isn't any wonder that millions of people
break down, dealing with an unbearable reality by what Freud called a "flight
into illness." Millions more are almost as miserable, but because they go on
functioning, their condition passes for "normal." And finally there are those
who, instead of internalizing their despair, lash out in explosive rage, most
often at their loved ones but increasingly in horrifying spasms of
indiscriminate carnage which the media persists in characterizing as
"meaningless" violence.

People and things

So we confront a stark contradiction—so much unhappiness in a country that was
founded on the principle of "the pursuit of happiness." True, this principle is
deceptive since what it promises isn't happiness but just the chance to pursue
it, and what most people get is endless pursuit and precious little joy. Still,
the identification of American society with happiness played an enormous role
in the political and ideological struggles of the twentieth century: in
contrast to the grim repressiveness of Soviet society, America seemed a "free"
country where individuals could live any way they wanted. And with

A-albionic Research Weekly Up-date of March 25, 2000

Subject: National Security Cloaks Advanced Hypno-Technology?

. . . "if the next war survives the first bomb it can be
guaranteed that both sides will include hypnosis among their
weapons.

"And not merely for such crude and vulgar purposes as
getting prisoners of war to talk: that trick is so obvious that
both sides could protect against it simply by making sure in
advance that all the good hypnotic subjects among their personnel
were . . . made immune to the hypnotic state. The future will
bring far more refined techniques than this. For developing
some of them, the senior author of this book [Estabrooks], to
whom the military applications of hypnosis have always been of
interest, must plead guilty, and if the effort to discover means
of helping one's country in time of war is antisocial, then he
has engaged in antisocial behavior. It is not revealing military
secrets to tell the story of some of these researches or to
outline some of the ways hypnosis, when imaginatively applied,
make its use undetectable; to know the possibilities does not
mean to recognize them when they are put into action. Consider,
for example, what might have happened if the techniques of
military hypnosis devised during the Second World War had been
used at that time. It was the Nazis who stimulated our first
intensive investigations of the question: faced with the fact
that they would undoubtedly use hypnosis if it was at all
possible, we began to look into its potentials, too. And it soon
became evident that the first idea which had occurred to us–that
of using hypnosis to get information from prisoners of war–while
useful, was a very minor part of the picture. Of much more
importance was the use hypnosis among our own military and
civilian personnel.

"Suppose, for example, that we were to use hypnosis to
create a multiple personality, which could be manipulated at will
by the hypnotist who had produced it and was entirely resistant
to hypnosis by anyone whom the hypnotist had not specifically
designated. The job would take time, but it would be entirely
possible to carry out. Because hypnosis is such a powerful tool
and dissociation such a common psychological mechanism–after all,
all the material in the unconscious that has been pushed there by
repression is dissociate from the conscious personality, and some
such dissociated material can be found in even the healthiest of
us–an able hypnotist, working with a good hypnotic subject could,
if he went about it in the proper way, split the subject's
personality into two completely dissociated parts.

"If we had tried this trick in World War II, we would have
found ourselves a young man of unimpeachable patriotism and high
suggestibility, and, in order to make him into a perfect spy, we
would then have deliberately produced a split personality in him.
We would, further, have so constructed this Dr. Jekyll and Mr.
Hyde that the primary personality–that is, the conscious
personality, the personality with which the subject identified
himself–became everything he had previously abhorred. Before we
begin to work on him, our subject is a completely loyal American,
and a man of democratic principles, to whom all the brutality and
race-hatred of Nazism are repugnant beyond words; a man who
firmly believes that all men are created equal; a man who firmly
believes that aggressive war should not be an instrument of
national policy; a man to whom freedom and liberty are as
precious as life. After a few months of our kindly ministrations
he emerges somewhat altered. Now he is anti-Semitic, anti-
democratic, anti-egalitarian, anti-libertarian, sadistic,
warlike–perfect Storm Trooper material. And believing, as he now
does, that the United States is decadent, that the Jews are
subhuman, and that it is Hitler's historic mission to rule the
world, he runs out and joins his local branch of the Nazi Bund
and throws himself enthusiastically into all its activities.
With his energy, vigor, and conviction, he may even rise to a
position of some importance in the organization. Now he is a
dedicated Nazi, an enemy to everything his country stands for.

"How have we succeeded in producing this complete reversal?
How can we make a monster out of a man? Unfortunately, it is
quite simple. We tell the truth to the most important part of
him–his unconscious. In hypnosis we make it clear to him that by
cooperating in our experiment he is serving his country as a
loyal American. The part of him of which he is conscious knows
nothing of our purposes, nor could our purposes succeed under
such circumstances. But the part of him of which he is aware can
be made to carry out our purposes because the part of him of
which he is not aware

 I mean homeopathy? Chiropractic??

Funny thing about the dispute between the AMA and the chiropractors ...

About 20 years ago I wrenched my back lifting an odd shaped apparatus. About a
half hour after the event ended, my back felt like someone had winched every
muscle above my derriere to the breaking point. Sitting down was in super slow
motion. The AMA approved quackermeisters dispensed drugs, applied ultrasound
to the affected area, and did some other things too disturbing to mention here.
This BS went on for six months. Then I decided I would give the chiropractor a
try. One X-Ray and three visits later, I felt as though I had never had an
injury. Same thing with my neck, this time from poor desk flying posture.
Same thing with a few other physical over-exertions. Had I any of the
psychosoma, I'd have found all kinds of things for the MDs and the chiros to
'fix'.

Now, I realise the AMA has a lot of members and they control a lot of of the
medecine (theoretical) that people accept without question around the world.
One must realise there are many tools in the bag but the one that costs the
most or gets the most air time (Bob "Hard Working Man" Villa or Tim "Snowman"
Allen) isn't necessarily the best in all circumstances. Remember that medecine
is a 'practice'; you never see Andre Agassi 'practice' but always see him in
some main event. Perhaps some day the mediquacks will finish practice and get
on with their main event.

Open minded and blind are 2 different things

This recalls to mind the Platonic story of the men in the cave, and, the
unseeing men who are set with the tack of describing an elephant.

Well, Bill, some might say that you are guilty of that which you condemn by
"heavy-handedly" discounting and ridiculing those who accept homeopathy and other
"non-traditional" treatment programs. One could easily question YOUR motivations as
to why you feel it so imperative and so strongly to condemn and ridicule the ideas
presented on this subject, but not I. For the record, I don't know if Homeopathy is
any good at all, it may be junk science as you say, but if someone wants to tell me
about it and give me an anecdotal report of its benefits then who am I to tell them
they are full of it. This list is about information, and there may be a scrap that is
valuable within the reams of junk that comes our way, and I say, if you like it fine,
if you don't, just ignore it, or as is your wont, discredit it if you feel the need
to, but let's not be about telling people to stop contributing, especially when there
may be a gem of good information contained therein.
Incidentally I agree with you that an important issue to focus more on is the idea of
suppression of "legitimate" medical treatments by the medical community.
So, Bill, let them have their placebo, what say you?

[CTRL] Fw: Estonian Nazis

2000-03-25 Thread Mrs. Jela Jovanovic, Secretary General

-Original
Message-From:
To:
Date: Saturday, March 25, 2000 5:26
AMSubject: Estonian Nazis

Estonian Nazi commander reburied in
Tallinn
The ashes of an Estonian officer who
commanded a unit of the Nazi Waffen-SS in the Second World War have been
reburied in a ceremony in the Estonian capital, Tallinn.

The officer, Alfons Rebane, served in the Estonian army
until Soviet troops occupied the country in 1940.
He joined the German army when it entered Estonia the
following year.
The Estonian prime minister, Mart Laar, described Rebane
as one of Estonia's most prominent soldiers and said the country had a duty to
rebury the ashes, which were brought from Germany.
But political parties representing the ethnic Russian
community have said the reburial amounts to a support of
fascism.
(source: BBC World Service,
06-26-99)
This is only one of many example of resurgence of
nazism in the Baltics. Last year SS veterans freely marched in Latvia, while a
similar march by Russian W.W.II veterans was brutally suppressed by Latvian
police, who used tear gas and sticks on 80-year-old men and women. This is not
even about Russians living in the Baltic states of Latvia, Lithuania and
Estonia, who are being treated like second-rate residents and are being denied
the most basic human rights by the governments which want to become an
integrated part of European society. This is only about government-supported
neo-nazism, which is now being battled by the only true enemy of fascism -
Russia. Meanwhile, the US and the European Union actively support the Baltic
fascist states, restricting western free and democratic media from
getting access to the facts about pro-fascist tendencies in internal and foreign
politics of Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia - the Fourth Reich trio.

Anxious to join the North-Atlantic alliance and
the European Union, there is no dirty job Estonia wouldn't do to earn NATO's
appreciation. There were numerous case of Estonian citizens
being caught spying in Russia. For example, in October of 1998 a citizen of
Estonia was caught by security at a military installation in Pskov region,
Russia. The detained man admitted that he was gathering sensitive
information for Estonian intelligence services. These intelligence
services were frequently linked to NATO.
In a hurry to fill in the Baltic power vacuum,
NATO countries and the United States in particular will blindly support any
neo-nazi slime in Tallinn for as long as there is a promise of increased
Anglo-American influence in the tiny Baltic state. It's not the small
territory or non-existent natural resources of the country that the
Americans are after, but the country's strategic location in relation to
Russia and it's Baltic Fleet. Gaining political and military influence in
the Baltics was always the most sacred desire of the Cold Warriors on the
Capitol Hill. Consumed by the annoying illusions of the New World Order,
American government and NATO leadership drag their countries and people into
supporting Estonian fascists.
The problem of resurgence of fascism, of course,
is not limited only to Estonia, it also propagates down to Latvia and
Lithuania. Both countries actively supported marches, meetings and other
public activities of former Waffen SS members and other extremists, while
suppressing the human and civil rights of ethnic minorities, such as
Russian, Ukrainian and others. Some of you may have a question at this
point: why did I decide to pick on poor, little Estonia, when there are
larger and far more powerful countries in Europe and elsewhere that harbor
neo-nazi organizations? What makes Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania so
important is their strategic location for European security (and for
Anglo-American New World Order fantasies). When national interests of many
powerful nations concentrate in a couple of small countries governed by
camouflaged fascists, the potential for growth of neo-nazism in these
countries and around them is limitless and so are the effects of this growth
on European and world politics.
SS War Veterans Rally in Estonia

July, 1998. Some 1,500 Estonian war
veterans, mostly SS men but also survivors of the 1918-20 war of
independence from tsarist Russia, gathered for their annual reunion in
Tallinn on 11 July. However, unlike the reunion of Latvian SS Legion members
in March, no government officials or army officers participated, and the
rally took place without incident and without international protests. While
critics said it was inappropriate to celebrate the activities of men who
fought on the side of a nation which murdered millions of Jews, the
organizers of the event emphasized that the participants had fought,
unsuccessfully, in order to prevent the Soviets

To be fair to Bill, I am sure he does not mean to lump ALL of Chiropractic in with his
idea of junk science (in which he WOULD place ALL of Homeopathy I think). He has
addressed this issue before and would probably say he does not think there is any
validitiy to some of the more radical treatments espoused by SOME Chiropractors, like
correspondence (which is related to reflexology, iridology, and other unorthodox
treatment regimens). Chriopractic, in the sense of spinal, and muscular manipulation
for the relief of pain and discomfort is a valuable and effective treatment method,
IMO.
Another point brought up here is the idea that the medical establishment is most
concerned, today, with getting you, the patient, out of their hair as quick as
possible, thus the PILL is the first form of treatment. Medication is pushed, whether
it is the BEST or even a NECESSARY treatment or not.
Here is a medical conspiracy (which has a parallel in the Police-drug
forfeiture-policy). Pharmaceutical companies subsidize doctors to get them to
prescribe their medicine, the medicine is accepted as THE STANDARD treatment, thus
getting the pharmaceutical company more money, enabling them to make more drugs, that
are pushed on people. There is a clear conflict of interest that apparently bothers
no one. In the old days a doctor might give someone a sugar pill in order to try and
alleviate a problem they could find no organic cause for, and guess what, sometimes it
did the trick. Nowadays that same doctor would probably prescribe Prozac or some
other powerful drug thinking the person was suffering from some undifferentiated
depression. Medication as a first course of action is the problem, and the use of
powerful chemical agents which profoundly affect the body in many ways as opposed to
less potentially deadly treatments, like Chiropractic manipulation, or herbal
treatments, etc.
If the doctors and drug companies can make no money from it they will never accept any
treatment as valid, it is that simple.

The military departments each have some program that goes along the lines of
'education with industry'. One can easily extrapolate the reasons *why* the
media and psychological manipulation go hand in glove. When one can control
the news, one can influence a whole bunch of things, especially peoples'
opinions. Recall Voice of America, Radio Martina, the bombing of the Yugoslav
TV station (then the Chinese embassy as sublocation), and, of course, Desert
Shield/Storm. I suppose "War of the Worlds" might have been effective at Waco,
too.

WSWS : News Analysis : North America
Mental illness and the American Dream: Part 2
A comment by Frank Brenner
25 March 2000
Back to screen version

This is the conclusion of a two-part series. The first part appeared on
March
24.

The American dream

Let's say what the Surgeon-General's report could not: the underlying cause
of
mental illness is desperate unhappiness. This is so obvious (at least to
the
ideologically unblinkered) that it almost seems to cry out from the
report's
findings. Add to this the fact that the epidemic of mental illness is
global
(with the statistics for other industrialized countries much the same as US
levels or else quickly catching up to them) and something else becomes
clear—that the underlying cause of the unhappiness is capitalism.

But probably nowhere else in the world is unhappiness a more unpopular
subject
than in the land of the American dream. Everywhere you are surrounded by
images
of happiness and success—TV sitcoms and Hollywood happy endings and Calvin
Klein billboards and celebrity faces staring at you from virtually every
magazine cover and tabloid front page. Of course bad news gets lots of
attention, but only after it's been sensationalized (or demonized or
trivialized) by the mass media—that is, after it's been stripped of its
relevance to most people's lives; sensibilities get so deadened in this way
that a basketball game can be more involving than watching a city get blown
up.
This kind of unhappiness does little to disrupt the veneer of happiness
that
envelops American society.

In official ideology, social classes don't exist in America, only "winners"
and
"losers" do, and the promise of the American dream is that everybody can be
a
"winner." That dream was always a mirage; 150 years ago, Thoreau already
saw
the unhappy truth: “The mass of men lead lives of quiet desperation.”[1]
Since
that time, the mirage has become much more sophisticated and alluring: the
cult
of success and celebrity lets everyone be a "winner" vicariously. But the
desperation has also intensified. Consider, for instance, the misery
contained
in these facts: America now has the longest work year of any industrialized
country in the world. The average American married couple now works 6 weeks
more each year than it did in 1989 (and 15 weeks more than it did in
1979).[2]
What's left of life after a 50- or 55-hour workweek and another 25 to 30
hours
of unpaid work at home? People are worked like machines and run into the
ground—until their hearts stop or their minds snap. And, for all that
sacrifice, they have less and less to show for it, as living standards fall
and
the class divide broadens into a chasm. It almost goes without saying that
most
people are condemned to mind-numbing (and eventually soul-destroying) jobs,
which nevertheless they're terrified of losing. And family life, which used
to
be, at least to some extent, a haven from the misery of the outside world
is
now more likely to be itself a source of pain and distress that is often
emotionally devastating.

For many people it keeps getting harder to bear their desperation quietly.
But
what can they do? Who can they turn to? The traditional channels for social
discontent—the Democratic Party, the trade unions, protest movements—are
all
dead ends, and widely perceived as such. Besides, in a world that just
seems to
stare back at you with a blank smile, it's difficult even to see what
connection your desperation has with reality. And then there is the immense
pressure to conform that makes itself felt in every corner of American
life, so
that it isn't just those with diagnosable mental illnesses who are
"stigmatized" but all too often anyone who "acts weird" or who simply
doesn't
"fit in." Under these conditions, it isn't any wonder that millions of
people
break down, dealing with an unbearable reality by what Freud called a
"flight
into illness." Millions more are almost as miserable, but because they go
on
functioning, their condition passes for "normal." And finally there are
those
who, instead of internalizing their despair, lash out in explosive rage,
most
often at their loved ones but increasingly in horrifying spasms of
indiscriminate carnage which the media persists in characterizing as

[CTRL] Harrelson must stand trial in hemp case-US court

Harrelson must stand trial in hemp case-US court

Updated 8:13 AM ET March 24, 2000

FRANKFORT, Ky. (Reuters) - The Kentucky Supreme Court Thursday
derailed Woody Harrelson's crusade to legalize hemp cultivation, ordering
the actor to stand trial for planting four seeds of the marijuana relative in
1996.

In ruling against Harrelson, the court cited evidence that legalizing hemp
would make law enforcement's job too difficult because of the difficulty in
distinguishing between it and potent varieties of marijuana.

Hemp, used to make textiles and rope, contains minute amounts of the
drug THC that makes marijuana smokers "high." Harrelson has become a
vocal advocate for those who say the plant could become a helpful cash
crop to hard-pressed farmers.

Harrelson, famous on television as the bartender in "Cheers" and for his
roles in "Natural Born Killers" and other Hollywood films, said he planted
the seeds in June 1996 to challenge the law and allow Kentucky farmers to
grow hemp legally. He has said hemp was Kentucky's leading cash crop
50 years ago and could be again, particularly for farmers wanting to
abandon tobacco.

The Kentucky court disagreed, stating that "there was no evidence that
hemp would ever be a successful domestic crop.

"In any event the economic benefits to be realized from hemp are not
relevant to the constitutionality of the statute," the court said in its 14-page
ruling.

In overturning a lower court's judgment that the statute was "over-broad and
vague," the panel of six judges suggested that the subject of legalization
belonged in the state legislature, not the courts.

It said Harrelson must stand trial on two misdemeanor charges -- one for
cultivating marijuana and the other for possession. Guilty findings would not
necessarily result in jail time.

A few states have agreed to grow experimental hemp crops and several
more have financed university studies to examine hemp's viability as a
cash crop.

Harrelson has said one of his motives in seeking hemp's legalization was
to prevent further losses of old-growth forests to make paper and wood
products.

The actor owns a California firm, Hempstead Co., that sells textiles made
from hemp, which is also used in shampoos, paper and other products.
The company must import raw hemp from China and Hungary.

Marijuana was outlawed in the United States in 1937, although hemp was
widely grown during World War II to make rope and other materials. A
group called the Kentucky Hemp Growers Association has filed suit in
federal court against the law, arguing that Congress did not intend to ban
hemp.

This is the first of a two-part series.

THE SURGEON-GENERAL'S REPORT

The numbers tell a nightmare. According to a major report on mental health
recently issued by Surgeon-General David Satcher, the top public health
official in the US, one in five Americans suffers from a diagnosable
mental disorder each year and half the entire population have such
disorders at some time in their lives.[1] Half the population! A
staggering figure, hard to get one's head around: is a term like epidemic
even adequate to characterize a situation of this magnitude? And yet,
horrifying as these numbers are, they aren't that surprising, certainly
not to anyone professionally involved in the field nor, I suspect, to a
large section of the general public. If the discussions I've had or heard
on this issue are anything to go by, a not uncommon reaction to this
information is: "Only half?" It isn't just that everyone seems to know
someone who's had "mental problems" or that, with the wholesale shutdown
of mental hospitals, the mentally ill (and the wretchedness of their
lives) have become a much more visible presence on city streets; it is
also the widespread feeling these days that people no longer have much (or
any) control over their lives and hence that there is something "crazy"
about what is happening to them.

There are a lot more numbers in the report, most of them tokens of
suffering:

* mental illness, including suicide, is the Number 2 cause of disability
(defined as " years of life lost to premature death and years lived with a
disability of specified severity and duration" ), less than heart disease
but worse than cancer and AIDS combined;

* a fifth of all children show signs and symptoms of a diagnosable mental
disorder in any given year, though only 5 percent suffer " extreme
functional impairment" ;

* among adults, ages 18 to 54, 15 percent suffer anxiety disorders, 7
percent have mood disorders and a little over 1 percent have
schizophrenia;

* depression is common among people 65 and older - this is the age group
with the highest suicide rates, though the report offers the dubious
consolation that " suicidal thoughts are sometimes considered a normal
facet of old age."

Five hundred pages long, the report ( Mental Health: A Report of the
Surgeon General) brings together a huge amount of data from the findings
of hundreds of recent studies. It would be hard to imagine a more
comprehensive document: this is the state of the art, as far as mental
health is concerned, at the end of the twentieth century. And, as The New
York Times points out, it carries added significance because it " puts the
imprimatur of the government on the findings" ; the hope of those involved
is that, like the 1964 Surgeon-General's report on smoking, this new
report will become a catalyst for a major shift in public attitudes to
mental illness.[2] Accordingly, the basic tone of the report (to use
current bureaucratic jargon) is "pro-active": though the suffering due to
mental illness is widespread, the expert opinion of the report is that
most of that suffering is avoidable. One of the document's key findings is
that nearly two-thirds of people who have mental disorders don't seek
treatment, even though effective treatments already exist. The report
highlights a number of reasons for this: simple ignorance that one has a
disorder or that it can be treated; a fear of being stigmatized as
mentally ill by family and friends; and - what is no doubt the decisive
factor for a great many people - the fact that they can't afford treatment
since they have no medical insurance or else the insurance they do have
doesn't cover mental illness.

Changing attitudes to mental illness and improving access to treatment
are, of course, laudable aims. Not so laudable is what the report says (or
doesn't say) about how to achieve them. It insists that its proposals
won't cost a lot of money; similarly, it assures HMOs and medical insurers
that cost increases from covering mental illness would be minimal. This is
nonsense: if the great bulk of people who need help and aren't now getting
it start showing up for treatment, it's obvious that they could only be
accommodated by a major expansion of mental health services, and that
means a major increase in funding. Why this denying of the obvious?
Because to admit it would clash directly with the economic agenda of the
Clinton administration (which,

This is the conclusion of a two-part series. The first part appeared
on March 24.

The American dream

Let's say what the Surgeon-General's report could not: the underlying
cause of mental illness is desperate unhappiness. This is so obvious (at
least to the ideologically unblinkered) that it almost seems to cry out
from the report's findings. Add to this the fact that the epidemic of
mental illness is global (with the statistics for other industrialized
countries much the same as US levels or else quickly catching up to them)
and something else becomes clear - that the underlying cause of the
unhappiness is capitalism.

But probably nowhere else in the world is unhappiness a more unpopular
subject than in the land of the American dream. Everywhere you are
surrounded by images of happiness and success - TV sitcoms and Hollywood
happy endings and Calvin Klein billboards and celebrity faces staring at
you from virtually every magazine cover and tabloid front page. Of course
bad news gets lots of attention, but only after it's been sensationalized
(or demonized or trivialized) by the mass media - that is, after it's been
stripped of its relevance to most people's lives; sensibilities get so
deadened in this way that a basketball game can be more involving than
watching a city get blown up. This kind of unhappiness does little to
disrupt the veneer of happiness that envelops American society.

In official ideology, social classes don't exist in America, only
"winners" and "losers" do, and the promise of the American dream is that
everybody can be a "winner." That dream was always a mirage; 150 years
ago, Thoreau already saw the unhappy truth: " The mass of men lead lives
of quiet desperation." [1] Since that time, the mirage has become much
more sophisticated and alluring: the cult of success and celebrity lets
everyone be a "winner" vicariously. But the desperation has also
intensified. Consider, for instance, the misery contained in these facts:
America now has the longest work year of any industrialized country in the
world. The average American married couple now works 6 weeks more each
year than it did in 1989 (and 15 weeks more than it did in 1979).[2]
What's left of life after a 50- or 55-hour workweek and another 25 to 30
hours of unpaid work at home? People are worked like machines and run into
the ground - until their hearts stop or their minds snap. And, for all
that sacrifice, they have less and less to show for it, as living
standards fall and the class divide broadens into a chasm. It almost goes
without saying that most people are condemned to mind-numbing (and
eventually soul-destroying) jobs, which nevertheless they're terrified of
losing. And family life, which used to be, at least to some extent, a
haven from the misery of the outside world is now more likely to be itself
a source of pain and distress that is often emotionally devastating.

For many people it keeps getting harder to bear their desperation quietly.
But what can they do? Who can they turn to? The traditional channels for
social discontent - the Democratic Party, the trade unions, protest
movements - are all dead ends, and widely perceived as such. Besides, in a
world that just seems to stare back at you with a blank smile, it's
difficult even to see what connection your desperation has with reality.
And then there is the immense pressure to conform that makes itself felt
in every corner of American life, so that it isn't just those with
diagnosable mental illnesses who are "stigmatized" but all too often
anyone who "acts weird" or who simply doesn't "fit in." Under these
conditions, it isn't any wonder that millions of people break down,
dealing with an unbearable reality by what Freud called a "flight into
illness." Millions more are almost as miserable, but because they go on
functioning, their condition passes for "normal." And finally there are
those who, instead of internalizing their despair, lash out in explosive
rage, most often at their loved ones but increasingly in horrifying spasms
of indiscriminate carnage which the media persists in characterizing as
"meaningless" violence.

People and things

So we confront a stark contradiction - so much unhappiness in a country
that was

THE TRUTH
By LtCol "Bud" Farrell, USAF, ret.

When I was a young officer and jet fighter pilot flying missions in the
Korean Conflict (unknowingly under the command of a Soviet General of the
United Nations Security Council), I could never understand HOW THE ENEMY
KNEW SO MUCH ABOUT US, as broadcast almost daily over the communist
Pyongyang radio station in North Korea.

Our wives' names, childrens' names, Squadron Commander names, flight
numbers, etc.! The North Koreans knew when we were coming, how many of us
there were, what type of aircraft we were flying and even the targets we
were to hit. Later I realized that the naval and ground forces suffered the
same fate that we did, especially our Army and Marine infantry troops.

All of our military operations had to be forwarded by radio to the Soviet
Commander of the United Nations Security Council at the United Nations
Building, New York City, for approval before our forces went into action
against the North Koreans and Red Chinese. The Soviet Commander of the
United Nations Security Council delayed the battle plans until he used the
radios in the United Nations Building in New York to relay all our "battle
planning information" to Moscow, North Korea and Red China.

The enemy then contacted and relayed these same battle plans to their
communist forces in the field. The enemy knew when to move from an area and
when to attack our smaller fighting forces. They knew beforehand when we
were coming and how many of us there were. They knew everything about us
all the time - 24 hours a day!!!

I later found this same form of "treason" was used against our forces in
the VietNam War. All information regarding "every battle plan in Vietnam"
was given to the North Vietnamese, Soviets (Advisors), and Viet Cong Troops
in the field DURING THE ENTIRE WAR. The enemy knew our every move at all
times.

Our troops were led like sheep to the slaughter in both Korea and Viet Nam.
Like blind fools we sent our combat plans to the enemy for approval.

There was a standing joke among us fighter pilots. "That Moscow had a file
on each and every one of us." How little did we really know. Every mission,
every movement was compromised! General Walt, former Commander of the
United States Marine Corps, reflected upon this information in his book
that was written in the early 1980's. This was never allowed to appear in
any bookstore in the United States. During the Korean and Viet Nam
conflicts, thousands of our fighting men were mentally or physically
incapacitated BECAUSE OF THIS TREASON! To this day, the Soviets (or someone
from one of their satellite countries) are the only ones who can command
the United Nations "World Police Forces".

Each and every one of us that served in Korea or Viet Nam served under the
total command of a Soviet General! Here are the names of the soviets and
the dates they served as "Under-Secretary of the Security Council of the
United Nations," thus the highest military commander of all United Nations
fighting forces anywhere in the world, INCLUDING ALL MILITARY FORCES OF THE
UNITED STATES. These names and information was obtained from the United
Nations yearbooks up through 1983. Later yearbooks were not available.

STRATFOR.COM Global Intelligence Update

Somalia Revisited: Gadhafi's Plan for Partition

Summary

The Libyan government is sponsoring a plan that may finally bring a
measure of peace to war-torn Somalia. The plan aims to turn Somalia
- in which the United States intervened briefly in the early 1990s
- from a land of dozens of feuding clans into a unified country
ruled by two dominant factions. Ultimately, however, the Libyan
plan appears likely to partition the country. As a result,
neighboring Ethiopia will cement its access to ports on the Red
Sea. Libya will gain a steadily larger role in Africa, as well as
maintain its grip on an important airbase in central Somalia.

Analysis

The Libyan government is drafting plans that would put Somalia
under the control of a two-headed government, controlled by a pair
of the country's most important factions, the Somali newspaper
Ayaamaha reported on March 18, citing diplomatic sources. The
report stated that Libya is also urging neighboring Djibouti to
drop its plans for forming a transitional Somali government.

Since 1991, when insurgents overthrew President Siad Barre and
drove him from the country, Somalia has been in the throes of
anarchy. The Somali army dissolved into competing armed groups,
loyal either to former commanders or clan-tribal leaders. For a
brief period in the early 1990s the international community
intervened. U.S. forces withdrew in 1994, after a battle with
Somali gunmen left U.S. Rangers dead and hundreds of Somalis dead
or wounded. In 1999, two regional actors, Eritrea and Ethiopia,
further aggravated Somalia's civil war by manipulating and arming
Somali groups as part of their own war.

Now, the governments of Djibouti and Libya have put forth two plans
for stabilizing Somalia and re-establishing a functional
government. Surrounded by Eritrea, Ethiopia and Somalia, Djibouti
would like to see some stability on its borders. Libyan interests
in Somalia include access to Mogadishu's port facilities and use of
the Baledogle air base. Also, working to stabilize Somalia serves
as a short term, low-risk public relations exercise for Libyan
leader Moammar Gadhafi, who has significantly expanded his
influence in Africa by helping some of the continent's most
troubled nations.

The two peace plans are vastly different. The Djibouti plan mirrors
many international peace plans that have failed. It calls on
warlords to convert their clan-based factions into political
parties, commit to a complete and verifiable disarmament and
respect the creation of a Somali police force to replace armed
militias. The Libyan plan, however, seems more likely to succeed
because it accepts the harsh reality of the Somali situation. It
seeks to set up a government comprised of two major groups. The
first, dubbed Sodere, is named for an Ethiopian town, and is
composed of major pro-Ethiopian factions. The second group,
Salballar, would be a faction allied to the principal warlord of
the ruined capital city of Mogadishu, Hussein Mohamed Aideed.

The Libyan plan is steadily gaining support. The Ethiopian
government now backs it. Landlocked Ethiopia wants to continue to
use the Somali port of Berbera, located in the northern, self-
declared state of Somaliland, whose government would be part of
Sodere. Col. Abdullahi Yusuf, president of the self-proclaimed pro-
Ethiopian Puntland regional government in the north, and Hussein
Aideed, in the central part of the country, have both accepted the
Libyan proposal and rejected the Djibouti plan. Tripoli's plan,
after all, protects the Somali clans' interests.

The prospect of order in Somalia, however, is not permanent. It
seems likely that the two factions - one that is backed by Ethiopia
and the other led by Aideed - will probably be able to work
together and form a government. And in such a period, smaller
weaker groups will fall in line behind the two main factions. This
two-headed arrangement would probably only last for a year, at
best. The situation would be easy to manipulate in the context of
the ongoing Ethiopian-Eritrean civil war; not only would one
element of a Somali government be allied with Ethiopia but Aideed
is backed by Eritrea.

Similar Somali experiments in the past have failed in the space of
anywhere from a few months to a year. Over the long term, it seems
likely that two Somalias would emerge from the Libyan peace plan.
The pro-Ethiopian faction would control the north, Somaliland and
Puntland, and Aideed would control the central part of the country,
the Mogadishu area, along with part of the south.

The emergence of two Somalias would still stabilize the region -
while furthering Ethiopian and Libyan interests. Landlocked and
facing difficulty in using the port at Djibouti, the government in
Addis-Ababa would gain long-term access to ports on the

Peace at any cost is a prelude to war!

Written by a minister:

As I was making my daily journey to the Post Office the other day, I
patiently waited for a car to vacate a parking space near the door.
As the rear of the vehicle came toward me, I noticed a bumper sticker
which read, in big, bold letters, "THANK ME. I VOTED CLINTON-GORE."
Of course, the bumper sticker was printed in response to an earlier
sticker which adorned some automobiles some six years ago. Back then,
as Presidents Bill and Hillary were attempting to nationalize health
care and play havoc with the discipline and fiber of the military,
"Don't Blame Me. I Voted For Bush" was the message on many bumpers.
Hence, the "Thank Me," message came in response.

Pondering the message of the brave, stubborn soul in the car ahead of
me, I considered all the things I could be thankful for as a result
of the Clinton-Gore regime. Indeed, I discovered the list was long and
varied. So it is to that fellow, I offer a hearty "Thank you!"

Thank you for introducing us to Jennifer Flowers, Paula Jones, Monica
Lewinski and about two dozen other names that we might not
have met and known otherwise. Thank you for allowing a war hero and
the author of one of the most successful military campaigns in
military history to leave the presidency because, no matter how
successful he was, we, in all our moral outrage, just wouldn't
tolerate someone who would lie to the American people by promising "no
new taxes" and then going back on his word. We certainly can't have a
liar in the White House, now can we?

Thank you for showing all the men and women in America that sexual
harassment in the work place, and on the job, is okay as long
as it involves powerful middle-age executives and the young women half
their age under their power. It is, after all, a "private matter."

Thank you for revealing that the agenda of the National Organization
for Women only includes some women. Women like Anita Hill, and not
women like Paula Jones, Monica Lewinski, et. al. Thank you for
allowing us to come to the realization that "sexual relations" is not
clearly defined after all. And all these years, I thought that "oral
sex" really had something to do with sex! (Imagine!) (Or is it Oral
Sex when you talk about it ...?)

Thank you for giving us a president who discusses his choice of
underwear with teenagers. We always wondered if presidents wore boxers
 or briefs.

Thank you for installing a man who reminds us of those good old days
of pot-smoking (without inhaling, of course) and war protesting.
Thank you for showing us that the ridiculous plot of the movie, "Wag
the Dog," could really be plausible after all. Thank you for
introducing the concept of "impeachment" to a new generation that
missed the discussion surrounding it the last time it was brought up.
Thank you for curing me of my addiction to the evening news.

Thank you for reminding us that the government that gave us the
Internal Revenue Service and welfare, also lusts for control of the
greatest health care system in the world.

Thank you for reminding us that the FBI, who has a file on millions of
Americans, including myself, can give those files to people powerful
enough to demand them. Thank you for reminding us that, when all is
said and done, character really, really does matter. And, in
 comparison to recent days:

Thank you for making Dan Quayle look like the Rhodes Scholar.
Thank you for making Jimmy Carter look competent.
Thank you for making Gerald Ford look graceful.
Thank you for making Richard Nixon look honest.
Thank you for making Lyndon Johnson look truthful.
Thank you for making John Kennedy look moral.
Thank you for making Al Gore look positively presidential.
Thank you for reminding us of the importance of term limits.

And really, thank you not once, but twice! Why, if not for you,
instead of the current, interesting discussion all over the television
networks and newspapers, we would be focused on a whole slew of
trivial matters such as giving secrets to China in exchange for
campaign contributions, global defense, the economy, nukes in North
Korea, genocide in Africa Kosovo, the containment of terrorism, and
 all those other boring topics.

So, thank you, thank you, thank you! Since Bill Clinton took office,
here are some of the good things that have happened:
72 House and Senate witnesses have pled the Fifth Amendment
17 witnesses have fled the country to avoid testifying.
19 foreign witnesses have refused to be interviewed by US
 investigative bodies.
 19 charges from Whitewater investigations
 4 convictions from Whitewater investigations
 8 imprisonment's from Whitewater investigations.

55 total charges in all Clinton scandals

Peace at any cost is a prelude to war!

I’m not backing up anymore!

By Chuck Baldwin

March 21, 2000

I’ll say it right up front: I’m tired of backing up. I’m tired of being
asked to compromise. I’m tired of giving ground. My line is drawn in the
sand. I’m not backing up anymore!

Henry Hyde and other Republican leaders are angry with the NRA for telling
the truth about Bill Clinton. People like Clinton and Schumer have made a
career at using gun violence to further their extremist, anti-gun agenda.
For years, they have turned tragedies into an excuse to trample
constitutional liberties. So, why is Hyde upset?

Republican leaders are upset because they say the NRA has made it more
difficult to enact "reasonable" gun control laws. Hallelujah! We already
have over 20,000 "reasonable" gun laws on the books, for all the good it
does us. In the name of reason and compromise, guns have been confiscated
in Canada, England and Australia. Why is it that freedom-loving people must
always give ground? I think it’s time for socialists like Clinton to start
backing up!

A constant assault on our freedom is taking place today. Farmers in Ohio
are being told that their property is soon to become the possession of the
federal government. Some of these farms have been in the family for over
200 years! The feds want to turn their land into a wildlife refuge!

Zoning ordinances are telling churches how many people may attend their
services and are denying churches the right to perform marriages and
funerals. Truckers are told they can’t park their trucks on their own
property or in the street in front of their property. The government tells
farmers what they can and cannot plant. Property owners are subjected to
endless environmental restrictions and regulations.

The current census being taken borders on governmental hysteria! Not only
are the questions invasive, pastors are being told to promote the
government’s business within their congregations. (This is the same
government that tells us that pastors and churches have no right to meddle
in politics!) It won’t be long and Washington, D.C. will be writing the
Sunday sermon! It’s got to stop!

It’s time for all lovers of freedom to bow their backs and say, "No more."
It’s time to draw the line. It’s time to tell these socialist do-gooders
(and the compromising Republicans that enable them) that we will not give
up an additional inch of sacred ground! Furthermore, we had better do it
soon or there won’t be anything worth fighting for left.

E-mail probe gets delayed
Barr: Justice 'hiding the truth,'
'opening a sham investigation'

Although due to respond yesterday to allegations that White House e-mails
relating to "filegate" were wrongfully withheld, Justice Department attorneys
defending the White House were granted a private hearing to discuss a stay of
the case while a new criminal investigation begins -- an investigation at
least one lawmaker calls "a sham."
Judicial Watch, a non-profit legal foundation, filed a civil suit several
years ago against the administration for improperly obtaining 900 FBI files
on former Republican administration staff. The $90 million suit led to the
disclosure of thousands of missing e-mails pertaining to the files, as well
as many other scandals of the Clinton administration.

During yesterday's hearing, Justice Department lawyers requested the case be
delayed until after the department's separate criminal investigation into the
matter is concluded.

Saying he would not grant "an open-ended, indefinite stay" of the civil case,
U.S. District Judge Royce Lamberth scheduled a private meeting with the
parties next Thursday to discuss the request.

Larry Klayman, president of Judicial Watch, argued that "even a stay of one
day would be inappropriate," because the Justice Department is hiding the
e-mails "to get past the next election," according to an Associated Press
report.

The criminal probe, announced Thursday, will focus on the missing e-mails and
allegations by some contract employees that they were threatened with arrest
if they discussed the computer problem publicly.

The announcement came after the Clinton administration said computer errors
made it impossible to search thousands of White House e-mails covered by
subpoenas from congressional officials and grand juries.

Many of the e-mails reportedly hidden from investigators were Vice President
Al Gore's messages dealing with campaign fund raising.

According to Matt Drudge, editor of the Drudge Report, the New York Times
will print excerpts this weekend of White House counsel Beth Nolan's
statement that reveals her predecessor, Charles Ruff, has been aware of the
computer problem for years.

"As Mr. Ruff understood the technical problem at the time, he did not think
that the error had an effect on previous searches or that it might affect
future searches of e-mail records," states Nolan, according to Drudge. "As a
result, Ruff had no reason to believe there was any need to notify
investigative bodies of this error."

But the administration denies it is using delaying tactics to keep the case
from exploding during Vice President Al Gore's bid for the White House.

"The allegation that our strategy is to delay is false," Justice Department
lawyer James Gilligan told the Associated Press.

At least one federal lawmaker says the criminal probe into the crash of White
House computers is, itself, a "sham investigation" with the sole purpose of
delaying current court proceedings.
Rep. Bob Barr, R-Ga.

"Once again, the Department of Justice is hiding the truth from the American
people by belatedly opening a sham investigation at the precise moment when
outside investigators are starting to uncover the truth about misconduct in
the Clinton White House," said Rep. Bob Barr, R-Ga. "The administration now
promising an inquiry is the same administration that obstructed several
investigations by refusing to turn over potentially tens of thousands of
e-mails uncovered in 1998, and threatening outside contractors with jail time
if they did not cooperate."

"This investigation will not uncover a single new fact," the former
impeachment manager continued. "Instead, it will be used as a shield to block
successful work by Judicial Watch and the Government Reform Committee to
uncover the truth about White House efforts to obstruct justice."

"It is truly saddening to again see our once-great Department of Justice
being politically manipulated," he concluded.

tolerate someone who would lie to the American people by promising "no

Granted Bush did make that statement. What you never hear brought up is
during Clinton's first presidential campaign he promised a tax cut...shortly
after he took office he raised out taxes.

[CTRL] [NA] CLEAN Wins A Round in Court

CLEAN Wins A Round in Court

On Friday March 17, 2000 the dynamic CLEAN group in Washington State got
word that they had won a round in their courtroom battle to hold the
election officials in Pierce County accountable for their outrageous
violations of citizens’ rights who were trying to view a public ballot
count.

Network America e-wire is carrying the developments in this case as it
develops because: a) it is the only such litigation going about which we
are receiving the details; b) the CLEAN group is so obviously right; c)
the Pierce County officials are so obviously wrong in preventing
citizens from watching a count of absentee ballots; d) the case has
national implications; e) the case brings out emphatically why absentee
ballots must be outlawed, although I have no reason to believe CLEAN is
pursuing that angle; f) we are curious to see if this Judge caves in
like almost all others --- or if she rules correctly at this level, if
an appeals court comes along to overturn her decision. Here is the story
posted at www.lewisnews.com – which is the excellent internet newspaper:

Auditor going to trial -- election law violations

Legal labyrinth finally caught up with Pierce County Auditor Cathy
Pearsall-Stipek when Thurston County Superior Court Judge Christine
Pomeroy ruled in CLEAN's favor, ordering a separate trial must be held
on the election law violations of 96 Attorney Shawn Newman did what no
other attorney could do since this whole nightmare began three years and
four months ago. He convinced a judge to hold the auditor accountable.
The crescendo effect began with a favorable ruling a year ago moving
this lawsuit out of Pierce County and into Thurston County. The luck of
the Irish was with Newman when he received his mail on Friday March 17.

The one page decision reads:

Dear Counsel:

The court finds C.L.E.A.N. is not in privity with Defendant's Bockwinkel
and Coffey and therefore collateral estoppel does not apply. The Court
further finds that there is a material question of fact as to which
"visitors rules" were in effect on October 31, 1996. Resolution of this
question of fact by the court will determine whether there was a
violation of the election laws, a question of law.
The Court will deny Summary Judgment on the election law violations and
will bifurcate those claims which will be tried separately.

The Court will hear oral argument on the Plaintiff's Motion for
Reconsideration on April 7, 2000 at 9 a.m.

I will sign an Order consistent with this decision upon presentation.

Sincerely,
Christine A. Pomeroy Superior Court Judge

All that legal jargon means that CLEAN prevailed big time in the
election law violation claims. CLEAN produced enough evidence to
convince the judge to allow this to go forward, next is convincing a
jury.

The April 7 court argument is in regards to an earlier decision by Judge
Pomeroy granting defendants claim of malicious prosecution by Pierce
County. The county is asking the judge to reconsider that decision. That
decision granted Coffey, Richeson and Bockwinkel's motion that the
county was attacking private citizens because of the federal lawsuit
they prevailed in by appealing to the 9th Circuit. Attorney Hugh
McGavick won that decision once already and will most likely prevail
this next time.

The most ironic part of this whole legal mess is that the evidence of
two sets of rules would never have been discovered had the county not
come after the private citizens and CLEAN.

Luck of the Irish, I'd say so.

(End of story)

Editor’s Note added by Mr. Schantz of lewisnews.com: “The Tacoma News
Tribune reporter Lisa Kremer contacted Newman about the ruling but told
him that it wasn't really newsworthy and the TNT would not be covering
the story until the trial. On the other hand, the weekly Tacoma Reporter
plans a story in their next edition due out on Thursday.”
