Updated: libtool1.5-1.5.25a-1, libltdl3-1.5.25a-1
GNU libtool is a generic library support script. Libtool hides the complexity of using shared libraries behind a consistent, portable interface. This is a routine update to one of the more recent releases from the 1.5 branch. It has been available from the mirrors since last July, and as an official cygwin test release since January. (The actual latest release from that branch at this time is "1.5.26" but it has not been tested thoroughly enough on cygwin). While the upstream libtool team has released libtool-2.2, there are still a few issues that preclude an official cygwin package. These have been resolved in libtool CVS, so I expect to release an official cygwin libtool2.2 package once the upstream team releases version 2.2.2. Be forewarned, however, that libtool1.5 and libtool2.2 cannot coexist in the same installation tree (that is, with the same prefix=/usr) -- so official cygwin packages of libtool1.5 and libtool2.2 cannot both be installed at the same time. -- Chuck To update your installation, click on the "Install Cygwin now" link on the http://cygwin.com/ web page. This downloads setup.exe to your system. Then, run setup and answer all of the questions. *** CYGWIN-ANNOUNCE UNSUBSCRIBE INFO *** If you want to unsubscribe from the cygwin-announce mailing list, look at the "List-Unsubscribe: " tag in the email header of this message. Updated: cygrunsrv-1.34-1
I have updated cygrunsrv to version 1.34-1. This release mainly improves the capability to connect to remote servers introduced with 1.30-1 (see http://cygwin.com/ml/cygwin-announce/2008-03/msg00052.html) The following changes have been made: - When accessing a remote server, cygrunsrv no longer checks the path to the executable for existance, nor does it check if the registry contains required system mount points. - There's a new option -P/--crs-path which allows to specify the path to cygrunsrv. This is especially useful when installing services on a remote machine and the path to cygrunsrv is evaluated incorrectly to run the service correctly on the remote machine. - Erroneous error output when registry access fails has been fixed. - It's now allowed to specify NT user names in the "DOMAIN\username" syntax also using a forward slash, "DOMAIN/username". - A couple of ambiguities in the README file /usr/share/doc/Cygwin/cygrunsrv.README have been fixed. If you have questions or comments, please send them to the Cygwin mailing list at: [EMAIL PROTECTED] . I would appreciate if you would use this mailing list rather than emailing me directly. This includes ideas and comments about the setup utility or Cygwin in general.
