Uploaded and 5.43-1 removed.

Here a first experimental 64-bit release. Uses new release number
because it required some LP64 patches and a g++ bug workaround (-Os
 instead of -O2).

Did you report the g++ optimization bug into gcc's bugzilla, by any chance?

May well be, I didn't plan it well (it was sent during the cygwin.com cut-over).

Uploaded. Any old package to remove (2.2.8-1? 2.2.10-1?)

Please leave 2.2.10-1 as previous and feel free to remove anything older.

Thanks,

I guess we will anyway have to re-compile all packages with gcc47 when
it is ready for release, right?

Fascinatingly the tests for libmpc do run, although ldd gets confused
about what libraries it depends on and stops midway after outputting a
  dependence on ?.

If the second gcc47 test release is made within this week I'd prefer
that to roll the packages, otherwise I'll set up a second installation
with the current release. I'll put all packages for the gcc47 branch
into [test], like gcc itself, is that correct?

I haven't yet had an explicit go-ahead for that -2 release, but I've been
rerolling it with the mpfr (shared libgcc) fix in order to be ready. Gonna
check the same fix into upstream trunk tonight as well.

How's the state of affairs?

There actually was a problem with the md5 creation. I don't know if it's
fixed yet but it could have resulted in a bad setup.ini being generated.
So, we may see people complaining.

But, no, there's no reason to hold off uploading. Thanks for asking and
sorry for not sending notice out earlier.

Thanks,

yes, this is a gcc bug. it isn't sepcial to cygwin64. It happens
also for x64 mingw, so please file a regression-bug in gcc's bz. I
will take a closer look about its cause. For me it looks like that
unwinding-information doesn't reflect difference in stack-use here,
but I will need to investigate in more detail.

Done. Likely a problem with -freorder-blocks and unwinding-info:
