PR looks fine for me, but I believe it has got nothing todo with
problem I described. Anyways, this problem is not visible after
Aurelien removed bold font in darktable.css —

Thanks for your work,

Re: [darktable-dev] UI glitches → Buttons and stuff

2019-11-11 Thread Timur Irikovich Davletshin
For consistency of conversation I'll copy my private reply to Sam:

===

Sam, there is a couple of other visual glitches I noticed.

1: screenshot1.png — line height of empty directory removal dialog. To
reproduce it create empty folder, put some raw file in it and
physically remove it from lightroom → selected image[s].

2: screenshot2.png — another button order problem in creation of new
style. Should be reversed like you made it before.

3: Another problem may appear if you right click little display button
in right bottom corner (set display profile, lightroom mode). Popup is
too narrow to fit default strings in English. Not saying about
languages like French or Russian which tend to have longer words.

Thanks for your work in advance,

Timur.

same version, double-click on image in lighttable unselects image, does
not switch to darkroom mode. selecting darkroom from the menu bar
correctly switches, but using key-combo to open selected image in darkroom
crashes dt, backtrace coming

[darktable-dev] Information about the Pixel pipe...

2019-11-11 Thread Keresztes Barna

Hi,
Can somebody summarize me the stages of the pixel pipe in darktable, and
the color space in each stage (if the stages have specific color spaces).
Where can I define the position of a IOP in this pipe? Let's say I want
a filter that runs at the end of the processing part, but before the
frame plugin?
I heard about IOPs that run at different stages of the pixel pipe (I'm
thinking about Basic adjustments) - where can I define that?
Or just point me to the right direction where can I find information
about this... I couldn't find anything in the wiki and the source code.

Thanks in advance!

May not be practical but it would be interesting if each modules pp
position were numerically indicated after the module's name. This would
in turn be helpful if one wished to shuffle module positions in the menu.

There's an early basic overview of the theory behind it here:

Re: [darktable-dev] Information about the Pixel pipe...

2019-11-11 Thread Coding Dave
What would help I think is if each module tells the color space it expects
and the one it returns. In my limited knowledge and understanding I think
there must be a module that gets color space A as input and returns color
spacd B as output. But I might be wrong.

Cheers

Re: [darktable-dev] Information about the Pixel pipe...

2019-11-11 Thread Aurélien Pierre
Every module advertises its input, output and working colour spaces to
the pixelpipe and conversion are done on-the-fly when needed. Don't
bother about it.

Yet, you still need to ensure you do the right pixel operation at the
right time. Details :
https://github.com/darktable-org/darktable/pull/3075#issuecomment-538410131
and https://github.com/darktable-org/darktable/pull/2905#issue-313652085.

Upcoming video in preparation about that.

Good luck,

Aurélien.

he is probably compiling from git with the correction added. I am using
rpm's generated by darix and the changelog doesn't show that correction.

when another rpm is generated, I will advise result. patience :)

but it is not. I still get "no image selected" after a double click.

Can you run darktable from a console window and see if any errors are
generated when you do the double click on the image?

I'm compiling from git and I can't reproduce the error.

well, I didn't see anything in the xterm session but I suspect a timing
issue as it seems to be working now most of the time. I will watch and
wait but may not see it again. I usually toggle between lt and dr using
"x", seldom double-click (maybe reminds me of windoz). only use mouse
when forced :). maybe old-age showing.
