Hi Guillermo
Tried that, it only helps after the shapes are visible once, i.e. after
completing a path (with a right click), and another right click
somewhere in the image (not on the path, because this would delete it).

So this is not helping for the issue that another right click (or open
and close the module) is required to make the path visible in the first
place.

Best regards,
Michael

In the retouch module, the last button in the line that lets you
select the kind of shape you are going to draw (circle, brush, etc.)
toggles the visibility of the shapes.

Hi Terry
Yes, you are right, this works as well, same as closing the retouch
module and opening again, but of course less effort.
Thanks a lot for the hint!

Nevertheless, I'd prefer the behaviour of "spot removal". In this
module, the last "finalized" shape (source and target area) is visible
right after drawing the shape. So is this a feature, or a bug in retouch?

(For clarity: In both modules I used the "add path" functionality, in
which you click right once to finalize the path).

Best regards,
Michael

HI Michael,
Try right-clicking on the photo. This should reveal all the
retouching shapes. I am using the windows version.

cheers

Hi
The issue still persists after upgrading to dt 3.0.2 (on ubuntu 18.04).
Is it only Andrew and me who are seeing this?
Thanks in advance, best regards,

I, too, find that in retouch , one needs to exit retouch and open again in
order to see the shapes and the source. Everything in spot removal works. I am

[darktable-user] Another minor issue with retouch

2020-02-02 Thread Michael Staats
Hi

DT 3.0.0
Ubuntu 18.04 (upgraded from 16.04)
Intel MiniPC "NUC", core i3, 16 GB RAM, onboard graphics (7 y old, time
to upgrade, I know...),

I'm having a small issue with retouch as well. It does work, i.e. I can
place my shapes with click, move mouse cursor to source area, and
release, and retouching works as expected (as far as I have checked).

But the shapes do not show on the screen. I have to close the module,
and open it again, then the shapes are visible and I can e. g. move
them, etc.

Side note: This does _not_ happen with spot removal, here everything
works as expected. And in dt 2.6, also everything was fine.

Is that only my issue?

Thanks in advance, best regards,
Michael
