Thank you that was helpful in tracking down the problem. After a system
reboot it now works correctly. Looks like there may have been an
intrusion into my system.

I hate to pursue this problem that appears to have suddenly started on
my system, I updated from the git this morning and nothing changed. Here
is the small clip from my desktop ... nothing appears unusual. My email
prog. is Thunderbird.

The image information is correctly shown as the first line of the email
also the subject.

There have been issues in the past with /home//.local/bin/xdg-email

I don't know if that was enabled. I'll look into that
On the other hand, Would it be better to uninstall the repos version and
keep only the git one?

try setting the environment variable "MAILER" liek this:

MAILER=thunderbird darktable

and see if that starts thunderbrid instead of Evolution.

When compiling cmake probably tells you that libosmgpsmap is missing. Try
installing the development files for that.

This might have some further hints:

Hi,

my 2 cents on that: Gnome 3 has a dialog to select the standard applications
for mail, web etc, inside the settings. Maybe try that first, in Debian it
works.

we use xdg-email. this seems to have interesting levels of documentation and
whatever you do may depend on the desktop environment.. don't know where it
goes wrong but that should give you a good entry point for a web search
together with distro/desktop specific search terms.

a released version, the downgrade of history stacks doesn't work.

[darktable-user] Email export and maps questions

2017-05-02 Thread Marcial
Hi everyone!

I've got two questions:

When I choose as email as "export selection", DT opens Evolution (I use
Gnome 3). Is there any way of getting DT to use Thunderbird instead?

On the other hand, I've got DT 2.2.1 and Git 2.3 In the "repo"
version I have the maps option, under lighttable, darkroom, other->
capture, , maps, slideshow, print. In the git version, maps option isn't
there. any hints?

Thanks.
