If TurboPrint uses a GUI based on Qt, it's probably running into this:

The problem is that Qt has a fixed set of paper sizes it knows about
and ignores everything else that it doesn't.  This caused problems for
one of our (Gutenprint's) users.  Unfortunately, I haven't seen any
indications of progress on this.

FYI, Gutenprint will support this printer in the forthcoming 5.2.13
release; if you have 5.2.12 or any earlier 5.2 release.
