Re: [darktable-user] workflow hints
Also: under "collection filters" in left panel - choose "new rule", from "darktable" section choose "history". Then in the dropdown you can choose "altered" to only show images which you have worked on - and/or make a rule on "filename" (from "files" section), then in the right text entry ("extension") type the extension of your raw files (e.g. "raf" or "cr2") or JPEG files (e.g. "jpg"). - or more simple: use the "search" filter (should already be present in default left/top panel setup) and type "changed" to see modified files, or enter the type of your image files (e.g. "raf" or "format|raf" to be more precise) On Thu, Jun 22, 2023, at 7:08 AM, Germano Massullo wrote: > Il 13/06/23 18:38, Remco Viëtor ha scritto: >> Photo's you edited have a small icon top right in the light table view. > > That's a great thing I did not notice before. > Thank you to everybody who replied to my message > Best regards > > darktable user mailing list > to unsubscribe send a mail to darktable-user+unsubscr...@lists.darktable.org darktable user mailing list to unsubscribe send a mail to darktable-user+unsubscr...@lists.darktable.org

Re: [darktable-user] workflow hints
Germano, I'd like to suggest that you adopt a storage scheme to help with your confusion. Without knowing the specifics of your current scheme, I'll use my own as an example. When I have shot a job, I create a new folder that I'll call "20230614 - Germano". Under that folder, I create the following folders from my template: 0 - JPG 0 - RAW 1 0 - RAW 2 1 - Stacked 2 - DeNoise 3 - Sharpen 4 - HDR 5 - Edits 6 - Finals 7 - Video. The numbers I chose allow me to keep my order of processing consistent. I'll later delete folders that I didn't actually use. Photos right out of the camera go into the zero-level folders as appropriate. Typically, I shoot RAW only, and send duplicates of any given image to both cards simultaneously (belt-and-suspenders approach). If I choose to shoot both JPG and RAW, the JPGs go into the appropriate folder. I also create two additional folders at the root level: 1 - New Imports 2 - Exports Under Exports, I create the following structure: 1 - Stacked 2 - DeNoise 3 - Sharpen 4 - HDR 5 - darktable 6 - RE (Real Estate - special requirements for image dimensions and file size) 7 - Panorama If I'm going to stack images, that happens first, with the stacked image being exported to 2 - Exports, 1 - Stacked. You get the idea. Exports from any processing application go to the 2 - Exports folder appropriate to the job being done. The exported files are subsequently moved to the Date - Job folder as appropriate before the next step in processing. The last step in processing is darktable. Files are exported from darktable, sized as required by the client. I hope this is clear and provides you some guidance. If not, feel free to ask your questions. Later you can open the OOC jpg folder and discard whatever you choose. Andrew Greig darktable user mailing list to unsubscribe send a mail to darktable-user+unsubscr...@lists.darktable.org
