Phh. Okay, I see the .odb with e.g. query_x having a certain number format on
the last two columns, and I see the .odb where this format doesn't exist
anymore.

However, I do not know how to get from the one to the other, though I spent some
time playing with the query. That is, query_format_lost.odb is already broken,
there's no way to "recover" the lost format from it. Consequently, we need to
know *how it happens* that a format is lost - I do not mean "how it happens
technically", but what steps to do in the UI to provoke such a loss.

Any chance you nail this down, so you can give a more specific description than
"But after several tests (open, add/modify entries, save, close)"?

in this case, your bug might be another one than the one to be encountered in
the attached Issue_QueryWiz_en.odb.

Can you run mysqldump on your MySQL database, with the --no-data option? This
would produce an SQL script which allows re-creating the structure of the
database, but not containing any actual data. Together with your .odb file, it
might allow reproducing your particular crash.

Of course, when the database structure is also confidential, this is no option.
In this case, I'd encourage you to send a crash report, and tell the issue ID
here - we could look it up in our crash database, perhaps this gives a clue
what's happening.

Patch looks good.
Small adjustment: Assure that the group object keeps its visibility/invisibility
when changing its layer ID to the control layer.

Issue is planned to be fixed in cws sw33bf09

I figured out more.
Some cases the report opens in edit mode in such way, that when select chart it
is not fully selected, see chart_wrongly_selected.png screenshot attached to
issue.
In this case you see only green rectangles in the corners, and if you run report
with that chart, OOo crash.
Normally the chart selected with blue rectangles in the corners

Another try.
This issue is unstable, I can not reproduce in all time, but some change
initiate it, I can not figure it out now, at least on win7.
The R1 report working now.

Some times when I change chart source, I can not enter into edit mode, and when
I in that state run report, OOo crash.
In other symptom is when I try to open report each after each, the OOo hangs,
not open any report, may be some java initialization problem, but I'm not java
developer.

If I crash OOo, after restart I can easily crash again. If I close file, and OOo
after crash, and reopen OOo and file, run report, less crash.

I can crash OOo again, I now use latest ORB from qa upload
oracle-report-builder-1.2.1.m7-beta.oxt, with Java 1.6.0_21.
Open file attached to issue 114438.

Open report Bar stacked.
Open for edit
Click on Chart
Run report, OOo crash.

Now I will try it on linux.

In my database the bound field is the second one, so the bound-field set as 1 is
correct and I do not think this is the problem I got with the crash.
Actually the database was working with no problem on openoffice 2.x. The crash
begin when I move my database to openoffice 3.x, so I do not think the bug was a
old one.
I'd like to attach my personal database, but it has no data, 'cause it is
connected to a mysql database, so I think it is useless. I can not attach the
mysql database 'cause it contains privacy data of people.
