THere's a pretty good discussion of this here https://unix.stackexchange.com/questions/742392/can-i-use-btrfs-subvolumes-for-trying-multiple-linux-distributions-without-commi I think I'd try a little different approach than what's recommended here, in that I would try chain loading each distros boot loader. https://unix.stackexchange.com/questions/343632/uefi-chainloading-grub-from-grub Since this is a bit off topic, feel free to write me off list if you need to talk this through further. --FC > > I want to have text console accessibility and the two best distributions that > do this are Debian and Slint (based on Slackware). > > However, Slint being Slackware based leaves big deficiencies in the > availability of applications. > > But on the other hand, Slint, especially for accessibility, has done an > amazing job. I believe it installs all the speech stuff, with mine, I had to later install the WIFI and other networking part.Glenn - Original Message - From: D.J.J. Debian is starting to keep up with it's user base by finally installing non-free firmware, we can only hope for the non-free libraries that every other Linux distro has. Re: OT Re: Installing Voxin Eloquence Broke Speakup?
John Doe or whatever your real name is, and if you are not the moderator for this list, I wish you'd remove yourself from this list. This is a Debian topic, this is about Debian Accessibility and there has been a very productive discussion about this going on and off this list for about a week. If you are a debian accessibility developer, perhaps your work can be done without such destructive comments. You will take note I do not like cowards who hide behind any pseudonym - unless your name is really "John Doe" - but I think that just like the comments you leave lambasting anyone who does not agree with you, that it is fake. Go crawl into a hole, and hopefully that hole will be covered up with debris and other things that seem naturally attracted to your type of personality and we will not have to suffer through your misplaced anger and other personal deficiencies. David, I would think that the installer from a live image would handle the GRUB for this to work. Glenn - Original Message - From: D.J.J. Installing More than One Linux on BTRFS Disk
Is there a tutorial for me to read to understand if additional Linux distributions installed on the same device need separate BIOS BOOT and EFI SYSTEM partitions in addition for a separate partition for that added Linux distribution.
