clamav. You might want to use the volatile version, though:

well, i had same problem, but it was some months ago so can't remember
exactly :- i got impression problem was that system looks for eth0 and
eth1 at the same time...so make sure you configured net parameters on the
right device and "down" the other (if exists).

Hope it can help

problems with netinst isos

2005-10-16 Thread David Udin
The etch netinst iso seems to be missing the isolinux.cfg file necessary to get
it going. Installation halts with a message about missing a boot image from
isolinux. When I compared the iso with the sarge iso, I could see that etch
lacked the .cfg file. Supplying the arguments by booting from /install/vmlinuz
with the parameters I saw in the sarge iso's isolinux.fgm file didn't get me
much further--couldn't find the root filesystem.

So, instead, I tried the sarge netinst iso. With this one, it booted ok, but
during installation wouldn't recognize that it was on a dhcp net. So I
configured the net parameters by hand, but it still couldn't download any
software. (I suspect not recognizing that it was on a dhcp net was actually not
being able to see the net at all.) I know it's not a net hardware problem,
since I can boot from a gnoppix cd and browse the net without any difficulty.

Any suggestions as to how to get things going? I'd really like to try the 64
bit kernel on this box.

Cheers,

David Udin

thanks

Hello,
As far as we do not support bi-arch/multi-arch configuration following patch
should solve the problem. At least it works for me.

The problem is that it can't be build in sid. I have no idea how you
did it, but it failed with the following error:
The following packages have unmet dependencies:
liblrdf0-dev: Depends: libraptor1-dev but it is not going to be
installed
E: Broken packages

libcurl3-dev has been kept hold by aptitude due to dependancies
problems. So I've it from sometimes before it was removed.

The problem is that libraptor1-dev Depends on libcurl3-dev which
doesn't exist anymore. It should get replaced by either the
libcurl3-openssl-dev or libcurl3-gnutls-dev version.

Therefor, it's currently in dep-wait state waiting for
libraptor1-dev (>> 1.4.7-1)

Also see bugs.debian.org/333259

Thanks

Kurt

rosegarden4, not installable while related bug closed

2005-10-16 Thread Jean-Luc Coulon (f5ibh)

Hi,

rosegarden4 is not installable on amd64 because it depends on kdelibs4
and libqt3c102-mt.

There ware a bug filled in the BTS for that #328014. It has been fixed
a long time ago by a NMU, see:

http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=328014;msg=15

The binaries available for amd64 (1.0-1à are not in phase with the
source available (1.0-1.2).

I managed to rebuild it from source.
What can be specific to amd64 in this case that prevents uploadding the
binary package?
