You might have gotten the old OOo there but not the one you are trying to install. The Debian-amd64 archive does not contain any openoffice.org-bin package in the apt repository and if it did it wouldn't have those Depends. So the question remains: Where do you get the openoffice.org-bin from? What does apt-cache policy openoffice.org-bin say? O.k., I admit, it was a little tricky to install it, but it runs ! How did I do ? Well, I downloaded the debs manually, then installed them with the --force-overwite option. I first installed the openoffice-ia32-libs, then the opneoffice.org-debian-files (as I remember, there was a site, which described that more specific). Look at my name in the mailing lists, somwhere I described, how I did. Openoffice is working now, but I cannot upgrade due to the missing ia32-libs (see above) I think, they must exist somewhere, due they are mentioned in the dependencies. They are not in Debian-AMD64. There are no official OpenOffice packages in the AMD64 distribution, as far as i am aware. There exists a package though, that will provide all necessary 32bit libraries + OpenOffice, so you can run it as a 32bit application (no chroot needed). This package is called something like "amd64-archive" and was provided on this list by Goswin von Brederlow. Try to search for the thread ... I am running OpenOffice 32bit with the help of this package.

Fertig Abhängigkeitsbaum wird aufgebaut... Fertig Einige Pakete konnten nicht installiert werden. Das kann bedeuten, dass Sie eine unmögliche Situation angefordert haben oder dass, wenn Sie die instabile Distribution verwenden, einige erforderliche Pakete noch nicht kreiert oder aus Incoming herausbewegt wurden. Da Sie nur eine einzige Operation angefordert haben ist es sehr wahrscheinlich, dass das Paket einfach nicht installierbar ist und eine Fehlermeldung über dieses Paket erfolgen sollte.
