Bug#253810: ssl-cert: confusing typo in english debconf template

2004-06-11 Thread Leonard Michlmayr
Package: ssl-cert
Version: 1.0-7
Severity: minor

The debconf template says:

The two letter code for your Country. (ie GB) (countryName)

It should be e.g. GB (exempli gratia) instead of ie GB (id
est) otherwise I feel debconf tries to convince me that I live
in Britain, which might be a nice idea, but it is actually
wrong.

best regards
Leonard

Bug#252678: downgrading severity

2004-06-11 Thread Fabio Massimo Di Nitto

Please keep [EMAIL PROTECTED] in CC.

On Fri, 11 Jun 2004, Marcelo Toledo wrote:

I am going to do this today. But you have to answer me something
please. As I said in the last email I have a working version of apache
 going on.
And after apt-get remove apache --purge and apt-get install
apache it will not work (probably) but we're going to have the info we
 need, done.
I send you the logs and thats all.

Ok.

 But the current version
of apache I had was working so, I would like to have it back, I would
like to know where I can get this old version, is there a repository or
something like this? I need to get packages so I can downgrade after
 grabbing your logs.

Take a backup of /etc/apache and you can use snapshot.debian.net to
retrive older version of the packages.

  Hi apache debian team,

I can't install apache 1.3.31-1 in debian sid (same problem with last
  version)

  apt-get install apache return :

   dpkg: error processing apache (--configure):
subprocess post-installation script returned error exit status 1
   Errors were encountered while processing:
   apache
   E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)

fter reading other bug reports I add set -x in
/usr/share/apache/postinst.common after do_all ...

and apt-get install apache now return :

  ...

  + pkg=apache
  + '[' -e /etc/apache/httpd.conf.dpkg-inst.queue.dpkg-inst.queue ']'
  + mv -f /etc/apache/httpd.conf.dpkg-inst.queue.dpkg-inst.queue

  + '[' -e /etc/apache/modules.conf.fake ']'
  + rm -f /etc/apache/modules.conf.fake /etc/apache/modules.conf
  + '[' -e /etc/apache/httpd.conf.dpkg-inst.queue ']'
  + ucf --debconf-ok /etc/apache/httpd.conf.dpkg-inst.queue
  /etc/apache/httpd.conf
  dpkg: error processing apache (--configure):
subprocess post-installation script returned error exit status 1
  Errors were encountered while processing:
  apache
  E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)

Thats all folks.

As Jerome reported I am also having the same problem:

see: http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=251175

Setting up apache (1.3.31-1) ...
dpkg: error processing apache (--configure):
subprocess post-installation script returned error exit status 10

This bug is tagged as: moreinfo, unreproducible;

If Fabbione or anyone else would like to use this machine I can fix it
up so it can be reproducible. I am not in any related mailing list so
please remember to CC me.

Thank you,
