Bug#319904: Same problem with autofs for me, timeout does not work anymore

I just want to confirm that I have exactly the same problem, I also
use a timeout. I have to restart autofs to force it to drop
its mounts. The problem occurred quite recently, maybe one or two weeks
ago.

Here's my config files:

Bug#357659: FTBFS with G++ 4.1: misc errors

2006-03-18 Thread Jeremy T. Bouse
I've been busy the last couple months, having got married in the past
several months and been working 20 hour days between my day job and my
consulting client. Mostly my client as they're ramping up their fan
portal sites for the NBA teams.

I've also been trying to redo the build a little to help make it more
efficient since the libfwbuilder and fwbuilder packages really seem to
be tied together as I grow tired of people complaining when I upload the
new libfwbuilder package and wait for it to make it through the builds
for all arches before uploading fwbuilder. As this inevitably results in
fwbuilder being hung in the buildd network while severl arches wait
because libfwbuilder isn't built yet. While this goes on I get unendated
by users complaining because I *broke* their updates. I'm trying to
setup a package that I can drop both tarballs in and have everything
built from it.

Regards,
Jeremy

Hi,

Most certainly, this has been on the TODO list for a while. I'll try my

The Debian BTS has a web interface. So I'm afraid that reporting this
bug already exposes your mail address.

I'm alays puzzled by people wanting to hide their mail address. Do you
really want to communicate? :-)

You don't explain us what you exactly did at the GRUB installation
step. Did you leave the default choices or did you something weird
like asking to install GRUB on hda4?

If you did the latter, then what you see is expectedthe
grub-installer did not touch the GRUB install on the MBR, which is
still the one you see booting. This GRUB points to /dev/hda3 as
root...which hasn't been touched by the installer and of course does
not offer hda4 as an option.

If you leave the *default* GRUB option to install on /dev/hda (ie the
MBR), then a new GRUB will be installed on the MBR and it will use
/dev/hda4 as rootand will offer the 3 choices, I guess.

Bug#357720: FTBFS with G++ 4.1: extra qualification

2006-03-18 Thread Martin Michlmayr
Package: xarchon

Severity: important

Your package fails to build with G++ 4.1. I'm filing this bug as
important for now, but when 4.1 will be the default compiler in
unstable (probably in a few weeks) I'll upgrade this to serious.

A patch is below.

Bug#357718: ipsec.conf(5): automatic and manual keying options are not disjoint

2006-03-18 Thread Michael Shields
Package: openswan
Version: 1:2.4.4-1
Severity: normal

ipsec.conf(5) says:

   CONN PARAMETERS:  MANUAL KEYING
  The following parameters are relevant only to manual keying,
  and are ignored in automatic keying.

This is not entirely true; for example, "esp=aes" is a valid and useful
parameter for autokeyed connections.

That's because I hadn't done that yet. I'm compiling all of Debian
with GCC 4.1 so things take a while. Anyway, I compiled fwbuilder now
and it compiles fine with the fixed libfwbuilder.

If you haven't heard from him in a few months, please let me know and
I'll see what I can do.

Bug#357717: FTBFS with G++ 4.1: definition not in namespace enclosing

Your package fails to build with G++ 4.1. I'm filing this bug as

Bug#357716: .dpkg-old can break xen-tools on upgrade

2006-03-18 Thread Ian MacDonald
Package: xen-tools
Version: 1.2-1
Severity: minor

Recently I had some problems with how the /tls.disabled was created; I
noted an upstream patch that had resolved the problems with creating a
/lib/tls directory that could not be removed. I had made some debug to
the script to try and figure out the problem in hook.d/10-disable-tls.

Later in the week, when the upgraded version with the patch was being
deployed, I told apt to overwrite my 10-disable-tls script with the
maintainers version. Unfortuately dpkg left the old buggy script at
hook.d/10-disable-tls.dpkg-old as it normally does with any package
update, where you accept the maintainers version.

What happened next, is that xenu images created with xen-tools all still
had the tls bug, as the .dpkg-old script was being executed, with the
chmod 0 line that caused the initial problem.

Long story short - The tls bug won't go away for anyone that has
tinkered with their 10-disable-tls script. In fact the debconf upgrade
procedure isn't really valid in this sort of rc-execute style hook.d
directory. Is there a better approach? Can the .dpkg-old files be
dumped in /etc/xen instead?

No big deal for me, but I can see other users getting trapped without
updates to the hook.d scripts due to the dpkg.old scripts being executed
last after newer updates.

cheers,
iMac

Bug#357659: FTBFS with G++ 4.1: misc errors

2006-03-18 Thread Vadim Kurland ✍

Martin,

thanks for the heads up. I am going to apply your patch and make a
release. The version number will be 2.0.11. It worries me a little
that the current version in Debian is 2.0.9, which is one version
behind. Hopefully Jeremy will pick new version up as soon as it is
released. You did not mention it, but was there any problem compiling
the other package - fwbuilder - once this patch was applied ?

I'll send another email when new release of fwbuilder is out.

thanks

Bug#342864: AM_PATH_CHECK macro fails to build with -Werror

2006-03-18 Thread Chris Pickett

Robert Collins wrote:

CFLAGS="-Werror" may not have optimisations enabled in gcc -> many
warnings are disabled. Can you reproduce with CFLAGS="-Werror -O2" ?

I haven't tried this, but I just wanted to say: I think a lot of the
AM_PATH_CHECK macro can be cleaned up or eliminated. Probably the other
things in /usr/share/aclocal can help with that, or a "best practice"
question could be sent to the autoconf list---there might also be hints
in the autoconf manual about what to do. Clearly not every library
needs such a macro, given how few macros actually are in
/usr/share/aclocal/.

For instance, using

libcheck_la_LDFLAGS = -version-info x:y:z

or some such thing in Check's Makefile.am is probably the right way to
manage interface compatability (note that x:y:z here is not 0.9.3 ---
adl gives some details about when to bump interface numbers in his
excellent autotools tutorial).

I noticed that check.m4 is in fact very similar to
/usr/share/aclocal/esd.m4, and esd is probably more stable than Check.
I wonder if they both came from some common template.

In general, looking for clean solutions or rewrites rather than quick
hacks (that in reality aren't so quick because they require a lot of
discussion) is probably the best way to handle Check at this point since
what I've seen so far of it hasn't aged gracefully.

Cheers,
Chris

Bug#357707: feature request: Mark packages as Download Only

2006-03-18 Thread Micha
Package: aptitude
Version: 0.4.1

Hello,

I use aptitude to control a cache that is a repository (or proxy cache).
On a LAN of several laptops and PCs, i use aptitude with apt sources
pointing to a dedicated 'apt-proxy' packages server, within the LAN,
which delivers packages from a cache, requesting them from internet
sources only if necessary.

The proxy allows fine-tuning of the versions to keep available locally,
and is speeding up download very much for any further than the first one.
It is very confortable to update different laptops this way, at LAN speed.
Especially if your download link is only ADSL1000, which is quite widepsread
nowadays in Europe.

Another cool thing is, i can install apt-proxy on a laptop, too, and use that
to do
updates or even installations on boxes which have no internet connection at
all (or maybe only modem dialup per phoneline).

I think it would be possible to do nearly the same with a simple /var/cache/apt
only, configuring that as LAND repository for the other machines.

Anyway. The problem is i have to provide all necessary packages on this laptop,
which menas o have top keep lots of installed which i never there.
I
 i could mark packages in aptitude on the PC with the main packages server
as 'Download Only' then i could mark anything i ever may need, on any laptop
 or machine to install, and then just copy the cache to a laptop (eventually
running
apt-proxy too) when i need it anywhere else, at places with no [fast]
connection.

Another benefit is, i could do the 'slow' regular update from the internet
sources
once at one computer, where updating laptops would always run at LAN speed.
It also relieves much load from the WAN link, too (this is a WLAN behind a
router,
shaed by several parties).

The 'download only' marker would imply that it is not installed, so it's a kind
of
special 'update' flag, with no dependency trigger: Of course, only a previously
installed version would be relevant for depencency management.
I don't know how that could be implemented in the aptitude package database.
Best would be, not at all :) just add the flag and regard this when performaing
any update actions.

Comments/Problems:

  and ideas you had during the initial install.>

The install went perfectly (but I do miss full-screen ncurses-style menus).

I booted boot.img in expert mode, mounted root.img, loaded net-drivers.img for the SiS900, configured static IP, then downloaded the rest from a mirror without a problem.

I chose Standard System and Desktop/Workstation for software.

However, while the app software was installed to the correct partition (hda4), the OS was not installed, and grub did not add hda4 as a menu choice.

Background: I have 1 hardisk, hda, with 4 partitions:
hda1 ntfs for Windows, should I need to do something with that thing.
hda2 linux paging
hda3 reiserfs for my normal GNU/Debian boot device and root (been working fine with 'testing' for a long time)
hda4 an empty partition on which I was trying to install afresh the lastest GNU/Debian

Prior to this install, grub would offer hda1 (Windows) and hda3 (2.6.15) as boot choices from the MBR.

My goal was to keep hda1 and hda3 intact, and try a fresh install on hda4, with safe fallback to hda3 or even hda1 (ugh!).
After the install, I expected grub to offer hda1, hda3, and also hda4 (the new fresh install) as well.
But it offered only hda3, zapped hda1 (as a menu choice; I can still mount ntfs, so it's alive), and never added hda4, the new install.

After rebooting, the system booted up as usual on hda3 (with a different grub timeout), and I mounted hda4 to take a look-see.
All of the /usr/* stuff was installed as well as /etc and so on, but 'boot was empty, except for the grub subdir and its file, including menu.lst.

So it seems that something went wrong when the configure grub stage ran. The install process changed grub stuff on hda3 as well as creating the /boot/grub dir on hda4. Odd.

I performed the whole install twice because I thought that I might have chose the wrong menu number somewhere along the way (being used to full-screen ncurses).

Also, I notice that the /etc/

Bug#357705: Support for cmake Makefiles syntax and indentation

2006-03-18 Thread Michael Biebl
Package: vim-runtime
Version: 1:6.4-007+1
Severity: wishlist

CMake is replacement for auto* and gaining acceptance lately, its very likely
that it will be the build system for KDE 4.
On the project homepage [1] there is a syntax and indentation file for vim.
It would be great if the vim package could include these two files and
also activate it by default. This way the user would get out of the box
support for cmake and wouldn't have to edit its .vimrc file.

Cheers,
Michael

Bug#354116: emacs-wiki NEWS not too useful without guidance on how to migrate

I'm now checking out muse and what it can do for me; however I found
that muse is not a full-fledged wiki editing engine like elserv-wiki.
elserv-wiki handles HTTP requests and allows editing of the wiki page
over http, convenient for when slapping up some page in a local
workgroup.

Bug#357702: axiom: Some binaries statically linked with old libXpm.a

2006-03-18 Thread Igor Khavkine
Package: axiom
Version: 20050201-1
Severity: grave
Tags: security
Justification: user security hole

The following binaries were statically linked agains libXpm.a from
a version of libxpm-dev predating 4.3.0.dfsg.1-14.

/usr/lib/axiom-20050201/bin/hypertex
/usr/lib/axiom-20050201/lib/view2D

As such, they exhibit behavior described in Bug #308783, which breaks
the display of images in the HyperDoc system and is a possible security
problem. I'm giving this report the same severity as #308783.

The fix is simple. It only requires a recompile against a newer version
of libxpm-dev. Strangely enough, the view3D binary, located in the same
directory as the view2D one is unaffected since it is dynamically linked
against libXpm.so. No other binaries in the axiom packages seem to
statically link with libXpm.a.

Bug#357700: xlibmesa-gl and ldconfig beat nvidia-glx

2006-03-18 Thread Stefan Bittner
Package: xlibmesa-gl
Version: 6.9.0.dfsg.1-4
Severity: normal

I have Xorg 6.9 includin xlibmesa-gl and nvidia-glx installed.
xlibmesa-gls' libGL.so libraries are diverted by nvidia-glx. Now there ar two
libGL.so...
libararies: libGL.so.1.2 from xlibmesa-gl and libGL.so.1.0.ABCD from nvidia-glx
(ABCD depending
on the driver version).
Both have an soname of libGL.so.1
Whenever a shared library is installed by any package ldconfig may run.
Ldconfig creates symbolic links in
/usr/lib based on soname and file name of the libraries it finds to the most
recent version it.
Now since both libGL candidates have the same soname, but mesas' has a so.1.2,
ldconfig creates
/usr/lib/libGL.so.1 -> libGL.so.1.2. Thus the mesa variant gets used despite
the installation of nvidia-glx.
Programs depending on accelerated GL (like cedega) fail or have a redeced
preformance.

Bug#357696: spamassassin: helo not found if received header does not explicitly include helo=some_address

2006-03-18 Thread Chris Purves
Package: spamassassin
Severity: normal

Using spamassassin 3.1 with exim 4.5 and sa-exim.

I believe there is a problem with the Received.pm file. If a received header
includes a helo statment (helo=mail.example.com) then there are no problems.
But if the helo statment is not included for situations where helo=rdsn, then
spamassassin thinks the helo does not exist.

Intresting... I knew that one can not link a proprietary program to a
GPLed library, but did not suspect that the reverse was also true.

There are two threads about pdflib in the archives of debian-legal:

http://lists.debian.org/debian-legal/2002/07/msg00549.html
http://lists.debian.org/debian-legal/2003/04/msg0.html

The second thread corroborates your doubts.

Bug#353513: Updated iptables package (linux-2.6.16-rc6, iptables-1.3.5) + IMQ

2006-03-18 Thread Waba
Package: iptables
Version: 1.3.3-2.0.2
Followup-For: Bug #353513

Hello,

I've stitched together a new version based on the latest available
kernel (2.6.16-rc6) and iptables (1.3.5). I also added the IMQ patch
(which was my goal in the first place). I applied from the netfilter
patch-o-matic what I could while still getting a debian package without
too much trouble. The main issue was the unification of the various
*table systems into xtables, which moved quite some headers around.

Joerg, I don't know if this solves your problem. Let me know if
something is missing, I'll try to fix it if it doesn't take too much
time.

Please keep in mind that this is just an attempt at getting a clean
solution in a very limited time. In particular, considering the critical
nature of iptables,
 - the Package Maintainer should not republish parts of it without a
   careful review first,
 - it shouldn't be used in a production environment, or at least not
   prior thorough testing.

The packages are available at:

  http://www.waba.be/debian/iptables/

The package name is still 1.3.3.x, but there are real bits of 1.3.5
inside (or more than that actually ;-).

2006-03-18 Thread Waba
Package: iptables

Hello,

I've created an iptables package that comprises the IMQ patch. It is
however based on the newest kernel (2.6.16-rc6) and iptables (1.3.5)

with care.

I don't remember this being the case. I'm pretty sure they are able to pick
a package at random to satisfy a build-dep on a virtual package; this just
usually isn't what you want.

The thing they *won't* do is evaluate options after a '|'; so if you need
the buildd to install a package for you, it has to be listed as the first
option in the or'ed list. And of course, versioned Build-Depends can never
be satisfied by a virtual package.

Bug#357692: please consider adding logcheck ignore filter

2006-03-18 Thread martin f krafft
Package: syslog-ng
Severity: wishlist
Tags: patch

Please consider adding
/etc/logcheck/violations.ignore.d/logcheck-syslog-ng with the
following (single!) line:

  ^\w{3} [ :[:digit:]]{11} [._[:alnum:]-]+ syslog-ng\[[[:digit:]]{1,5}\]: Log
statistics;
(processed='(source|destination)\([-_[:alnum:]]+\)=[[:digit:]]+',)+process$

This will prevent logcheck from listing the regular statistics
entries made by syslog-ng as "security events".

Bug#357691: ktechlab: KTechlab has no PIC simulation functionality

2006-03-18 Thread Eckhart Wörner
Package: ktechlab
Version: 0.3-3
Severity: important

KTechlab is able to simulate PICs. For this, in the category "Integrated
Circuits", there should be an item labelled "PIC". The item does not appear in
the official
Debian package, though the required gpsim is installed. Using the unofficial
package from http://ktechlab.org/download/deb/ (which is older, trusting
the version number) show this item correctly.
By not being able to debug PIC code, KTechlab loses quite an important part of
its functionality.
Perhaps KTechlab should also recommend gpsim.

Bug#357690: autogrouping tabs with ~/.fluxbox/groups broken

2006-03-18 Thread Adrian Kubala
Package: fluxbox
Severity: normal

Auto-grouping using ~/.fluxbox/groups does not work for me, but it DOES
work using ~/.fluxbox/apps. So this may be a documentation problem, or
it may be an actual bug.

Here is my groups file, which seems to have no effect (session.groupFile
is set correctly):
-- BEGIN ~/.fluxbox/groups
Dillo
URxvt
-- END

Here is the apps file which does work:
-- BEGIN ~/.fluxbox/apps
[group]
[app] (dillo)
[end]
[group]
[app] (urxvt)
[end]
-- END

I have not tried to use class names in apps (which would be the more
direct equivalent of the groups file).

"man fluxbox" and the official online documentation don't mention
grouping in the apps file at all, and all suggest that the groups file
should work. The only reference I could find that mentions grouping in
the apps file is:

http://fluxbox-wiki.org/index.php/Howto_edit_the_apps_file#Grouping_apps_via_the_apps_file

Bug#357439: amaya does not start--The program 'amaya' received an X Window System error.

2006-03-18 Thread Regis Boudin
Hi Andrea,

After a kernel update making amaya crash and further tests, I tend more
and more to think the problem comes from the use of Mesa.

Could you please let me know you configuration, especially :
-which video driver you use
-if you use the DRI

For the record, in my case :
-with the nvidia proprietary driver, no problem
-with the radeon driver and DRI, it run with display bugs
-with the radeon driver but no DRI, it crashes.

I will continue investigating the problem...

Argh, that old bug. OK, you're right.

"apt-get build-dep xastir" does the right thing, so I don't know why the
buildds don't use that command instead.

The buildds will not try to install virtual packages. It will only
install real packages... So you could change the build-dep to
libgdal1-1.3.1-dev | libgdal1-dev, though that would only serve people
who want to backport.

Cheers

Bug#341471: Wrong compile options.

2006-03-18 Thread John M Cooper
Looking at the debian/rules file it does not specify --with-libexif to
configure so I think that by default it is not built with libexif
support. I have the same problem with a Canon 350D here. I have just
compiled the 0.7 version using the same rules file, adding in the
--with-libexif argument and now it is reading the EXIF data fine.

Thanks

Bug#357689: initrd-tools: mkinitrd fails to create the initrd image

2006-03-18 Thread Alessandro Caputo
Package: initrd-tools
Version: 0.1.81.1

Symptom:
/usr/sbin/mkinitrd fails to create the initrd image

Cause:
When mkinitrd calls for mkcramfs (at line 1413 in this version) his
working directory appears to be set to
"/tmp/mkinitrd.[randomstring]/initrd" instead of ".". The newly
created image is deleted as soon as the mkinitrd scripts ends and
removes the tmp direcory.

Solution:
Backup the working directory in a shell variable and then call
mkcramfs with the correct path for the output file

Bug#357688: gdict: Title on error windows

Package: gnome-utils
Version: 2.12.2-3
Severity: wishlist

Hi,

   Recently I got an error window 'cannot connect to server' or
something like that, the problem was that this window didn't have any
title that would identify it it with gdict. It took me a while to
discard between the web browsers, email readers, rss readers, and others
who was giving the error message.
   I guess it would be very easy to do this and it will be very helpful.

   Thanks!

Hmm, spca5xx is design for running on a strong enought machine, your PII is to
slow and cannot decode the jpeg stream in times. A usb isochronous webcam is
a streaming video device and never provide a single picture but a stream of
pictures send with small packet on the usb bus. The iso handler collect the
packet and when a frame is empty schedule a tasklet to decode the jpeg. What
happen here is the handler collect the frame faster than the decoder.
I have set another driver for the vimicro chips design for small hardware
(spca5xx-LE ) this one never decode the stream but instead forward the frame
on userspace. I use it with a small TCP/IP server that way the video is
forward to TCP and can be used by others TCP client. I use it with a Etrax
Soc 100Mhz and can carry VGA stream in real times. Maybe have a look

It's not enough to have it provided by another package as the buildds
can't handle with that. So it's still a serious bug.

Note that the bug is already fixed in a NMU by Matej Vela on 19 Feb...

Cheers

Bug#357687: FTBFS with G++ 4.1: extra qualification

2006-03-18 Thread Martin Michlmayr
Package: ivi
Version: 0.4.pre.20031121-3
Severity: important
Tags: patch

Your package fails to build with G++ 4.1. I'm filing this bug as
important for now, but when 4.1 will be the default compiler in
unstable (probably in a few weeks) I'll upgrade this to serious.

A patch is below.

That's the smallest test case I can come up with:

$ cat test.cal
global prob;
define test_booleans()
{
if (0)
print ' if (0)';

if (1)
print '301: if (1)';

if (2)
print '302: if (2)';

}

(gdb) run -d -q read ./test

Can you investigate further?

Or slightly smaller:

global prob;
define test_booleans()
{
if (0)
print 'x';
if (1)
print 'a';
if (2)
print 'xx';

}

It works if you remove one x from 'xx'...

Bug#354918: Bug#357548: Emacspeak: fails to initialise eflite on upgrade to 23.505-2

2006-03-18 Thread James R. Van Zandt

I believe this is bug #354918 in eflite.

Please use emacspeakconfig or edit /etc/emacspeak.conf directly, to
set DTK_PROGRAM to /usr/bin/eflite.

Rationale: Emacspeak has changed how it uses the configuration
variables. Under emacspeak 17, emacs executes the program DTK_TCL
(assumed to be an interpreter) with the argument DTK_PROGRAM (assumed
to be a script). If DTK_TCL is a standalone speech server (as with
eflite), then it does not matter what DTK_PROGRAM is. Under emacspeak
23.505, emacs executes DTK_PROGRAM directly. If it is a script, its first
line must give the full path to the interpreter, for example
"#!/usr/bin/tcl". DTK_TCL is no longer used. DTK_PROGRAM may be the
name of a file in /usr/share/emacs21/site-lisp/emacspeak/servers or a
full path name.

libgdal1-1.3.1-dev provides libgdal1-dev now. I'll update the dependency
on the next upload anyway. (Or perhaps I shouldn't, since it seems more
specific than libgdal1-dev and therefore more prone to change?)

When I input entries using Text -> Description -> Long, the entries are properly
indented if the style of the document is generic. But if the style of the
document is set to book, the entries are not indented properly. Please correct
this behaviour.

I am attaching a .tm file. The necessary instructions to reproduce the bug are
given in that file.

Bug#357682: bzip2: bunzip2 --force fails on pipes, *unlike* gunzip

2006-03-18 Thread Mark Eichin
Package: bzip2
Version: 1.0.2-8
Severity: normal
File: /usr/bin/bunzip2

$ tail -2 /etc/motd  | zcat --force
Debian GNU/Linux comes with ABSOLUTELY NO WARRANTY, to the extent
permitted by applicable law.
$ tail -2 /etc/motd  | bunzip2  --force

There are two reasons this bothers me:
  1. --force is documented in reference to gzip, so it should act like it
  2. This makes it impossible to implement a "generic decompress
 pipeline", namely,
 | zcat --force | bunzip2 --force (etc.)

ltrace confirms that it's doing a naive rewind; a third point would be
that it's a bug that it doesn't give an error in this case, but
silently outputs nothing, potentially very bad in a pipeline. But I
don't care about that, I want the zcat-style behaviour :-)

Incorrectly implies that building as nonroot is not supported.

Also, please document that dpkg -S only search installed packages, and
possibly refer to apt-file and the Contents listings, or packages.d.o
to search all [official] packages (as requested in #304995).

Yea, I'm not sure I'm seeing the same thing, but it looks completely
possible that it is doing something it shouldn't be able to .. my
browser freezes for at least a minute, and then I get a small gtk
information dialog with some funky asian looking character in it,
titled "computerterrorism".

Bug#357660: ncmpc: tab completion does not work anymore

2006-03-18 Thread René van Bevern

tags 357660 confirmed upstream
thanks

Hello Julien,

> The problem is that tab-completion does not work anymore in the
> "add" function

thank you for reporting this issue. I have already tracked down the
issue to the following modification of the upstream changelog:

-
2006-01-22  Kalle Wallin <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
* configure.ac: use libcursesw by default
* wreadln.c: use wget_wch (wide characters) when built with libcursesw
-

Looking at wreadln.c, it is split in a huge part for support of wide
characters (i.e. non-ASCII) and another huge part for using plain
curses (can cause problems with UTF-8). The implementation part for
wide characters lacks handling the tab-character. Because I build the
Debian package with support for wide characters, it is affected by the
change.

I'll look into this deeper in the next days and I'll try to port the
tab completion code to the cursesw part of wreadln.c.

> [it] just seems to echo a "tab" character in the display.

I confirm this.

Thanks again for reporting,
   René

if /usr/sbin is not in PATH and a user explicitly invokes

2006-03-18 Thread Thomas Prokosch

In my opinion the dependencies of the zim package are too strong.
Particularly it is not necessary to depend on the packages

libgtk2-trayicon-perl, libgtk2-spell-perl

Zim v0.13 runs fine without these packages, so instead of depending on these
packages, suggesting them should be sufficient.

Old version of dar (2.2.4-2):

Current version of dar (2.3.0-1):

IMHO it would be useful to provide a separate package for
documentation.
