Bug#373246: Status of the package?

2006-06-25 Thread Michael Bramer
Hello

What is the status of the package?

The tar has only 4 files... (one .pdf without source, and the python
script with some binary crap, no real package problem...)

Bug#375314: xboard fails to start: X Error of failed request: BadName (named color or font does not exist)

2006-06-25 Thread Oliver Korff
Package: xboard
Version: 4.2.7-6
Severity: important

This behavior appeared after an upgrade, *without* xboard being
upgraded. I assume its a encoding/font problem. In my env settings there
is a new LANG=en_US.UTF-8, but all applications defaults in /etc say
iso8859:

Example:
X11/app-defaults/Xditview-chrtr:H
-*-helvetica-medium-r-normal--*-*-*-*-*-*-iso8859-1\n\

There is no default in /etc for xboard

Here is the whole line of the error message:
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ xboard
X Error of failed request: BadName (named color or font does not exist)
Major opcode of failed request: 45 (X_OpenFont)
Serial number of failed request: 18

Now whats strace says (short version)

Bug#375077: libnss_ldap problems during boot

2006-06-25 Thread Arthur de Jong

I was also bitten by this. At work we were hit earlier because we fetch
hosts from ldap (see #359713). We have modified /etc/init.d/udev to
edit /etc/nsswitch.conf on the fly (this is obviously a dirty hack).

Maybe it's a good idea to only enable libnss_ldap in the boot process
after networking is available and/or slapd has been started?

Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have
requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable

Since you only requested a single operation it is extremely likely that
the package is simply not installable and a bug report against
that package should be filed.
The following information may help to resolve the situation:

Bug#375318: lintian: New python related checks

2006-06-25 Thread Raphael Hertzog
Package: lintian
Version: 1.23.21
Severity: wishlist

With the latest changes in python-related packaging, some comme patterns
of error are starting to emerge... so let's check them with lintian.

1/ If you detect dh_pysupport or dh_pycentral, you should have a
corresponding python-support or python-central build-dependency.
(CDBS use a variable DEB_PYTHON_SYSTEM=pysupport/pycentral to select
between them so check for that as well)

2/ We should encourage to switch to the new policy, so a warning if we're
not using it would be welcome. There's no single way to detect that but
the most common way is that packages are using dh_python and have thus a
debian/pycompat containing 2. If you detect dh_python and not
debian/pycompat then you should issue a warning about the need to move to
the new policy. You can refer them to this URL:
http://wiki.debian.org/DebianPython/NewPolicy

3/ If one has dh_python and debian/pycompat=2, then it needs to
build-depends on at least "debhelper (>= 5.0.37.2)".

4/ arch: all .deb should usually no more have dependencies like "python
(<< )" if they use the new policy. That could also be a useful
warning indicating that the packages have not been converted.

That's a good start IMO. We could add many more test for the python policy
itself (and not for its infrastructure), but it's a bit more difficult.

Bug#375319: gnome-power-manager: Keeps wrong state information after suspend/hibernation

2006-06-25 Thread Mike Hommey
Package: gnome-power-manager
Version: 2.14.3-2
Severity: normal

Most common usecase:
- You set-up closing the lid when on battery to suspend the laptop
- You close the lid when on battery
- The laptop suspends
- You open the lid, and awake the laptop
- You plug the battery
- You unplug the battery
- The laptop suspends because gpm still thinks the lid is closed.

That one part of the problem. For example, it also doesn't adjust screen
brightness when the battery has been plugged or unplugged during the
sleeping period.
Basically, for gpm, the laptop is in the same state after and before
suspend/hibernate.

thanks

The problem you are describing seems to be a arch specific issue and I couldn't
reproduce it on my machine, thus we will need some help from somebody with a
amd64 machine.

About the build issue, did you tried to get the source again (apt-get source
holotz-castle) and rebuild after setting and exporting the
DEB_BUILD_OPTS=nostrip ?
Did you tried to reproduce the bug with a non-debug version built by yourself?

Also, please export LANG=C before giving examples.

Related to the segfault, you could indeed provide a strace, if the regular
version (compiled by yourself) also crashes.

I checked 1.11 alpha1 and svn trunk but both are still there. Do you
already have decided to remove GFDL from this section, too?
Just for your info and not to hurry you:

Bug#375321: description doesn't *seem* to have anything to do with the package

2006-06-25 Thread Tomas Pospisek

The description of ferret says:

"GerWin (the GNU Entity/Relationship Wished Incarnation) is a CASE
tool for edit data models. These data models can then be implemented
on some relational data base implementation such as PostgreSQL or Mysql."

Allright, thanks for the info, now what is ferret then?

Please also say how ferret relates to GerWin and what ferret is. From
GerWin's homepage:

"GNU Ferret (formerly known as GerWin) is the Free Entity Relationship
 and Reverse Engineering Tool."

So I suggest to change the description to:

"GNU Ferret (Free Entity Relationship and Reverse Engineering Tool)
serves to edit data models. These can be implemented within a range of
relational data bases such as PostgreSQL or Mysql.

Bug#292782: Fix for dreaded DVD/manual tray/BurnProof issue

First question: Is there a way to avoid duplication ?
I mean, as you're part of the project, can't we have a rule so that
upstream bugs are only reported upstream, on packaging bugs to BTS ?
What is the Debian rule for that ?

I was also considering adding trac to manage bugs and Wiki in the
future. And there is also a subversion interface. (Cf:
https://dev.scicraft.org/trac/about_trac).

It would be great to get rid of the limitations of berlios alltogether
and have our own infrastructure completely. WDYT ?

Are you sure that "BurnProof does not exist for DVDs" ?
IIRC with my drive its working, but I may be wrong on that.

I wonder if the patch is correct. I would keep both tests:
if ((bkpinfo->backup_media_type != dvd) && (archiving_to_media))

rather as I think the same code is used in both restore and archive
path.

If you agree, please add it to SVN.

Bruno.

Bug#374554: Reassign bug to evolution-data-server

2006-06-25 Thread Daniel Burr
Title: Reassign bug to evolution-data-server

I am seeing the same problem using evolution 2.6.1-3 and evolution-data-server 1.6.1-3.  The error message appears to be coming from /usr/lib/evolution-data-server-1.2/camel-providers-8/libcamellocal.so which corresponds to camel/providers/local/camel-spool-store.c in the evolution-data-server source.  Perhaps this bug should be reassigned to the evolution-data-server package?

The error condition is triggered because evolution prepends the string "maildir://" to service->url->path and so it doesn't begin with a '/' character.  I suspect that the bug lies in the fact that a CAMEL_SPOOL_STORE_CLASS object is being created instead of a CAMEL_MAILDIR_STORE_CLASS object.

Bug#375326: zim: fails to open repository when not run from $HOME

2006-06-25 Thread Julien BLACHE
Package: zim
Version: 0.15-1
Severity: normal

Hi,

Zim silently fails to open the selected repository when it's not run from
$HOME (blank Home page, repository content does not show up). Looks like
there's a slight path handling issue somewhere :)

Thanks,

JB.

Bug#375334: less: doesn't display some lines

2006-06-25 Thread Baurzhan Ismagulov
Package: less
Version: 394-2
Severity: normal

Hello Thomas,

less doesn't display some lines. To reproduce:

* apt-get install doc-rfc-std
* gunzip -c /usr/share/doc/RFC/draft-standard/rfc2616.txt.gz |less
* /If an entity-body is encoded RET

The excerpt in question is:

1494
1495If an entity-body is encoded with a content-coding, the underlying
1496data MUST be in a form defined above prior to being encoded.
1497

Less says that line 1495 is displayed (as expected), but displays "data
MUST..." (weird). The text found is not displayed (weird). Pressing C-p
shows an empty line (expected based on the line number -- 1494 is empty,
but weird according to the actual contents -- the line "If an..." is not
displayed). Pressing C-l shows the line "If an..." as 1494 (weird).
Repeating the C-p C-l sequence shifts the line numbers of the preceding
lines by one.

I've tried this on the Linux console. TERM is linux.

With kind regards,
Baurzhan.

I guess in that case I will have to resume efforts to get 1.19 sorted
out more urgently. I don't want to embark upon the busy-work of
splitting documentation out into a separate package only to put it back
in again later ...

Sorry, no idea what that means. I just installed cupsys because it
connects to the cups server in the network I'm in and gives me all
available printers. Since I'm changing networks quite frequently that's
nice to have.

Unstable recently switched to g++-4.1 as its default compiler, with
which the compilation of obby was not yet tested. We will investigate
this problem on the source level. For now, you should add a
build-dependency on g++-4.0 and add a CXX="g++-4.0" before the
./configure statement in `debian/rules'.

Bug#375333: coreutils: rm -rf segfaults when open(".") fails

2006-06-25 Thread Marc Lehmann
Package: coreutils
Version: 5.96-3
Severity: minor

autofs often fucks up my system. In such a case, I tried to:

   # rm -rf /fs/doom # autofs mountpoint
   Segmentation fault

strace shows:

   chdir("/fs/doom") = 0
   lstat(".", {st_mode=S_IFDIR|0555, st_size=0, ...}) = 0
open(".", O_RDONLY|O_NONBLOCK|O_DIRECTORY) = -1 ENOENT (No such file or
directory)
   --- SIGSEGV (Segmentation fault) @ 0 (0) ---

And gdb shows a segfault in readdir64.

So I assume rm doesn't check the result of opendir or something similar.

Bug#349073: mounting manually works just fine

2006-06-25 Thread Marc Lehmann
Just to entertain you a bit, I found out that often (but not always), one
can manually mount the required nfs volumes and everything works again.

   $ cd archive
bash: cd: archive: No such file or directory
   $ ls -ld archive
   lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 32 May  8 10:19 archive ->
/fs/doom/var/lib/mythtv/archive/

(== the usual case, although with kernel 2.6.16.9).

   $ mount doom:/ /fs/doom
   $ mount doom:/localvol4 /fs/doom_localvol4
   $ cd archive
   $ # worked

So just *maybe*, what hapeons is that automount tries to mount the volume
and fails for whatever reason (it would be interesting to know it, maybe
I can find out), and then leaves the mountpoint in an unusable state till
reboot.

I think one could investigate this path, to see what happens if mounting
the volume fails in autmount. Likely it doesn't have a clean path to back
out if this happens (it might return an error in this access, but *must*
retry eventually, otherwise intermittent errors would require reboots of
clients).

Just a theory, of course. I'll try to find out what causes the mount
failure, although this will not be easy.

Peculiar are these messages:

Jun 25 12:08:02 cerebro automount[1309]: attempting to mount entry
/fs/doom/var
   Jun 25 12:08:02 cerebro automount[3452]: failed to mount /fs/doom/var
Jun 25 12:08:02 cerebro automount[3452]: umount_multi: no mounts found under
/fs/doom/var
Jun 25 12:08:10 cerebro automount[1309]: attempting to mount entry

   Jun 25 12:08:10 cerebro automount[3460]: failed to mount /fs/doom/root
Jun 25 12:08:10 cerebro automount[3460]: umount_multi: no mounts found under
/fs/doom/root

As the mountpoints mentioned do not exist (/fs/doom is a mountpoint, but
not /fs/doom/something).

Bug#375331: aptitude: more fine-grained control over strictness in conflict resolution

2006-06-25 Thread Steinar H. Gunderson
Package: aptitude
Version: 0.4.1-1.1
Severity: wishlist

Hi,

I'm using pkgsync, which uses aptitude as the underlying mechanism, with
mile-long command lines that look something like this:

  aptitude dist-upgrade foo+ bar+ baz- 'quux&M'

(99% are + and &M lines, FWIW.)

Sometimes, however, this goes awry, as the conflict resolution mechanism
decides to, say, not pull in GNOME because this makes it has to
downgrade some other package to the version in testing etc..

Normally, I'd solve this by something along the lines of

  aptitude -o Aptitude::cmdline::Request-Strictness=1 install gnome

(I really do believe the strictness should be set that high by default,
BTW, but that's for another bug report :-) )

but when there's a couple thousand arguments at the command line, this
naturally won't help. So, having something that lets me prioritize the
individual choices on the command line would be great; something along
the lines of

  aptitude dist-upgrade gnome+//1 bar+ baz-//500 'quux&M'

to give a penalty of 1 to whatever solution doesn't manage to get
GNOME in, 500 to whatever solution doesn't get baz out, etc.. I'm afraid
I don't know the aptitude code particularily well, but given that the
request strictness is in there already, I hope this isn't something
that's impossible to bolt in :-)

clearly means network is not setup properly to be able to
reach LDAP server, since there's no matching route.

The 'getent passwd' command also blocks, while waiting for
response from unavailable LDAP server. The old libnss-ldap
returned immediately.

That's why I think this is a bug in libnss-ldap, not in udev.

If strace from 'getent passwd' is of use, check here; they're
a bit lengthy to include here.

Which version did you upgrade from?

Which driver is missing?

The cupsys-driver-gutenprint package is completely independent of any
foomatic drivers. cupsys-driver-gutenprint upgrades are completely
automated; it won't break anything.

Please could you provide the exact details of your setup, including
how all your print queues were configured and how you configured them.

Oops. Actualy, it seems my patch makes exim redirect all mail to the wildcarded
address, not just the one specified in /etc/aliases.

Anyone has an idea on how to specify this properly in config file syntax? It
should just try first:
   data = ${lookup{$local_part}lsearch{/etc/aliases}}

and if that fails, fallback to the '*' check.

I'll send it on to upstream. FWIW, they are aware of the problem, and think
it's a kernel bug of some sort -- I haven't heard from them in a while,

Bug#349073: more insights

2006-06-25 Thread Marc Lehmann
Ok, I now got some much better insights, and I can reproduce it at will, too
:)

Attached is an strace of automount that was made when I did "cd
archive". I checked that neither /fs/doom nor /fs/doom_localvol4 were
mounted (they were expired by automount earlier).

What seems to cause the problem is this:

   doom:/localvol4 /debian32/fs/doom_localvol4 nfs
rw,v3,rsize=8192,wsize=8192,hard,intr,lock,proto=tcp,addr=doom 0 0
   doom:/ /debian32/fs/doom nfs
rw,v3,rsize=8192,wsize=8192,hard,intr,lock,proto=tcp,addr=doom 0 0

Let me explain. I have a 32 bit chrooted debian on /debian32, and I do
"mount -n --rbind /fs /debian32/fs".

This seems to cause the (now reproducable) problem. However, I have
similar problems with the same automount setup on my 32 bit laptop where I
do not use a chrooted debian env or mount --rbind.

Hope this helps.

Here's my /proc/mounts, for reference:

$ stat --printf=%y toprocmail 2006-05-02 20:07:51.0 +0200
What the rules file of the fetchmail package is doing is to pick the files
from contrib which should be installed and installs them using install.
So lets look what install does:
$ install -m 644 toprocmail /tmp/
$ stat --printf=%y /tmp/toprocmail
  2006-06-25 12:38:15.0 +0200

I cant see any fault in the fetchmail package here. Policy says:
Maintainers should preserve the modification times of the upstream source files
in a package, as far as is reasonably possible.

In my opinion its not reasonably possible here.

NO I will *not* touch the upstream README file.
If you read the upstream README file and look for a script in contrib which you
can't find
and in README.Debian is a hint that some files are removed I can't see any
difference
here to see that this file is one of it.
This is no bug just you wasting your time.

Packages for Gforge 4.5.14 have just been accepted into experimental,
and they should work fine with current Postgresql packaging. I'm
currently considering whether I should migrate the packages to
dbconfig-common before uploading to unstable. Testing of the
experimental packages would be welcome in the meantime.

Okay, plplot_5.6.1-1 has been accepted in unstable. I already uploaded
version 5.6.1-2 which contains the necessary changes for adapting
python-plplot to the new Policy. The trickiest part was to
configure/make/install the upstream sources for both python2.3 and
python2.4.

At any event, since I not very familiar with Python (neither with the
Python modules/extensions packaging practices), I would appreciate if
some Python guru could review my changes.

Thanks,

"locale width" and "locale height" in the C locale will give you the paper
size for A4, so it becomes the default.

Is there any progress on this bug? :-)

It looks like most packages now use automake1.8 or automake1.9.

thanks

I've done more fiddling with various versions of the kernel and lvm2 in
VMware.

The bug in lvm2 is that lvcreate allows the creation of the snapshot on
kernel versions where it is known that the operation will crash the
system.

The bug in sarge's kernel is that the system hangs when a snapshot of a
logical volume is created, that volume being used as the root
filesystem. This bug is presumably present on other architectures as
well as just i386.

The bug in initrd-tools is that generated images don't include the
dm-snapshot kernel module; if a system crashes or is rebooted while a
snapshot LV is present, it will be unable to boot up.

The bug in linux-2.6 is that removing a snapshot volume with the version
of lvm2 present in sarge hangs the machine. This also breaks partial
upgrades.

The bug in initramfs is that the (already-included) dm-snapshot kernel
module is not loaded when necessary. If a system crashes or is rebooted
while a snapshot LV is present, it will be unable to boot up.

Fair enough. We have done some rewoking of debian/rules to make it
easier to build modules like eap-tls and postgres. I will add a note to
README.Debian as well.

We have updated our postinst scripts to use only ps/grep/awk/kill so

For those interested in squashing this bug, it looks like some problem in the
autoconf interaction. ruby1.9 seems to subscribe to the non-recommended
practice of automatically running autoconf at build time, and at some point,
either autoconf got buggy, or something changed; the part about '|#_!!_#|'
originates from the configure script in AC_OUTPUT; it's supposed to be sed-ed
out at some point, but for some reason, this doesn't happen.

AFAICS, a simple solution would simply to be turning off the running of
autoconf at build time, run autoconf from some older version and then simply
include that in the diff.

Actually you don't want
1. data = ${lookup{$local_part}lsearch{/etc/aliases}}
else
2. fallback to the '*' check.

but
1. data = ${lookup{$local_part}lsearch{/etc/aliases}}
2. run all other routers (local user, procmail, whatever)
3. fallback to the '*' check.

I think adding your router after mail4root would do the trick. Imho
this is material for the exim FAQ, not for the Debian package.

Hm, right. So uninstalling udev won't be possible anyway. And as the

work even if's uninstalled.
Alright, forget this point then.

info file; it is okay to close the bug, but I think it would be nice
to make the error message more explicit.

Thanks for your attention.

Bug#375349: autoconf: puts |#_!!_#| in output files

2006-06-25 Thread Steinar H. Gunderson
Package: autoconf
Version: 2.59.cvs.2006.05.13-1
Severity: important

Newer autoconf versions seem to use |#_!!_#| as an internal separator
during the AC_OUTPUT phase; this is supposed to be sedded away again at
the very end, but for some reason it doesn't; see for instance #373953,
where it's creeping into PREFIX and whatnot.

I've verified that this doesn't happen in 2.59a-9; it surfaced in the
first CVS version in the archive (2.59.cvs.2006.05.13-1).

Bug#375342: Additional regression in version 0.60

2006-06-25 Thread Sam Morris
With initramfs-tools 0.53c the error message is fairly straightforward:

Begin: Running /scripts/local-top ...
device-mapper: 4.4.0-ioctl (2005-01-12) initialised: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
cdrom: open failed.
/dev/cdrom: open failed: No medium found
Can't expand LV: Snapshot support missing from kernel?
0 logical volume(s) in volume group "main" now active
Done.
ALERT! /dev/mapper/main-root does not exist. Dropping to a shell!

# modprobe dm-snapshot && vgchange -ay && exit

An admin with access to the console can hopefully work out the commands
to run without too much difficulty.

With version 0.60, however, the errors are much more verbose and less
helpful:

Begin: Running /scripts/local-top ...
device-mapper: 4.4.0-ioctl (2005-01-12) initialised: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
cdrom: open failed.
device-mapper: unknown target type
device-mapper: error adding target to table
device-mapper: reload ioctl failed: Invalid argument
1 logical volumes(s) in volume group "main" now active
Done.

Begin: Running /scripts/init-bottom ...

directory
Done.
mount: Mounting /sys on /root/sys failed: No such file or directory
mount: Mounting /proc on /root/proc failed: No such file or directory
Target filesystem doesn't have /sbin/init

The system is now in some weird state where devices such
as /dev/mapper/main-root and /dev/mapper/main-root-real exist, however
reading from them immediately results in an EOF.

# modprobe dm-snapshot && vgchange -ay && exit
Target filesystem doesn't have /sbin/init
# mount /dev/main/root /root && exit

The boot then continues normally.

So the regressions are that the messages displayed to the console are
longer and less useful, and that there is no attempt to mount the root
filesystem once the shell is exited.

2006-06-25 Thread darehanl
Oh, didn't know that Changwoo had posted an updated version yesterday. I
started work on Friday's CVS, and did some major revisions. The original
translations were inconsistent in style and had a few errors (like line
240). The 6 fuzzy's are ones that I wasn't completely sure.

My bad for line 889; I made a last minute change and forgot to run it
through msgfmt. I think the rest of the file is correct, though.

Changwoo, I'm sorry I didn't notice your changes. If its okay with you,
I'll integrate your translations and mine. You can see my .po file at

soon do you need it (before releasing 4.0.17)? I'll start working on it

Bug#375351: console-tools: loadkeys always segfaults when I try to load a keyboard map

Package: console-tools

segmentation fault

This always happen when I try to load a keyboard map.
Strangely enough, loadkeys succeeds if I run it from within X.
But run it on a VT, and it hangs.

I should mention that the machine is a bit unusual, with two
video cards and two keyboards attached. Still, loadkeys used to work
fine with this setup before. The two screens shouldn't really matter
as long as loadkeys only deal with the keyboard, and normally
having two keybaords didn't matter either.

This downgrade solves my problems:
# apt-get install console-tools=1:0.2.3dbs-56 libconsole=1:0.2.3dbs-56
Now loadkeys don't segfault any more.

Bug#375215: libnss-ldap hangs udev at startup

2006-06-25 Thread Andre Tomt

I'm also seeing new odd behaviour after upgrading libnss-ldap.

As long as nscd is not running, slapd start blocks for about 5-10
minutes. If I start nscd before slapd it works, but I might end up with
a invalid cache for some period of time if other lookups have happened
and failed due to unavailable ldap server in between.

Reordering the init sequence is probably not a solution due to the
inconsistent cache problem mentioned, while current order blocks boot
for ages. The strace of slapd seems similar to the udev case.

nscd is supposed to be entirely optional, just behaving as a pluggable
cache, so its odd that nss blocks without it if rubbed in the wrong way
(like udev, and slapd seems to do). It seems nss is trying to connect to
nscd, and failing, thus going the long retry route. Earlier libnss-ldap
did not do this, it just bypassed nscd immidiatly if it was unavailable.

I tried both files ldap and compat ldap in passwd, group and shadow
entries in nsswitch.conf, but all combinations block as long as ldap is
in there.

All system accounts are satisfied with files/compat on this system.

You have noticed, too that Juice hasn't put out a Linux version,
haven't you? CastPodder is a fork of iPodder's code base, specifically
targeted for Linux.

However, it contains some contributed source files without licenses.
Since ipodder also has this problem, I'm probably going to have the
package removed from the distribution.

Thanks for your rant.

I cannot reproduce this problem with a current Debian sid system
(chroot just upgraded).

It seems to me that you have some problem with the jade or
docbook-dsssl packages. Currently I use jade jade 1.2.1-47 and
docbook-dsssl 1.79-4. What versions of these programs are you using?

Have you tried the configuration proposed on bug#349509?:

  passwd: files ldap [UNAVAIL=return]
  group: files ldap [UNAVAIL=return]

It worked for me on a configuration similar to yours.

Bug#375360: no sunffb driver available

2006-06-25 Thread Martin Lemmen
Package: xserver-xorg-video-all
Version: 1:7.0.22

since upgrading to the xorg xserver on my sun running the testing
distribution, no xdm, windowmanager etc. will work, because the sunffb i
have (of which i dont know what package it was provided by) wont load.
seemingly there is no working sunffb driver available through the debian
package managment system.

i posted this to the xorg mailing list
(http://lists.freedesktop.org/archives/xorg/2006-June/015928.html),
my message as i posted it to the list is here:

hi all.
i would greatly appreciate some help with the following problem:
since i use xorg on my sun (running debian), window managers, xdm and
the like wont work. the xorg.0 log file states that the sunffb
monitordriver wont load, the man page of said driver states that it
needs to be filled in, and that's where i'm stuck. the xorg.0 log, with
all parts but the ones with warnings or error messages snipped, is attached.

regards, martin.

Bug#375359: cupsys-client: sid cups client, sarge cups server >> printing does not work anymore

2006-06-25 Thread Michael Schmitt
Package: cupsys-client
Version: 1.2.1-3
Severity: grave
Justification: renders package unusable

If I use lpr on the sid computer I get "lpr: Bad Request" on the
commandline and at the servers (sarge) error_log. I did try to
purge an reinstall *cups* to no avail. Printing from other boxes
(includes RedmondOS, uncurrent sid, sarge) > no
problem, just _all_ current sid boxes here refuse to print.

Michael
