Bug#893387: qtwayland-opensource-src: Qt5 Wayland Client Dev Package missing

2018-03-18 Thread Andreas Cord-Landwehr
Source: qtwayland-opensource-src
Version: 5.9.2
Severity: important

Dear Maintainer,

the qtwayland5-dev-tools package provides the qtwaylandscanner binary, which
generates server side and client side headers and implementations for Wayland
extension protocols. Specifically, the qtwaylandscanner tool takes XML
definition files as input and generates C++ header and sources. These
sources depend on headers that are shipped with qtwayland-opensource-src.
All headers for the Wayland server side (AKA compositor) are provided with the
libqt5waylandcompositor5-dev package, yet the client side headers are not
provided
and makes it impossible to generate both Wayland client and server
implementations
with qtwaylandscanner.

Right now, the client side headers are removed in debian/rules and I would like
to request them added again as a *-dev package; possible with a Suggests to
qtwayland5-dev-tools for this package, too.

Cheers,
Andreas

I.e. not both the amd64 and the i386 version of this package are installable at

Bug#774308: Additional Information

2015-01-02 Thread Andreas Cord-Landwehr
If I see it corretly, this crash is connected to the patch for [CVE-2014-8092
1/4], since the corresponding patch [1] adds this line 1959:

if (lengthProto = (INT32_MAX / stuff-height))

which causes the arithmetic exception for me. I could try hotfixing it locally
by checking for stuff-height != 0.

As I am not familiar with this code, any opinions if this is a good idea?

Cheers,
Andreas

Bug#768848: kdevelop crashes when clicking

2014-11-14 Thread Andreas Cord-Landwehr
Please confirm that the debug packages
* kate-dbg
* kdevplatform-dbg
* kdevelop-dbg
* kdelibs5-dbg
* libqt4-dbg
are installed on your system and update your backtrace after installing the
missing ones.

The current backtrace is missing the important bits (and I cannot reproduce it
on my system).

Using a self-build package with the proposed upstream patch (see comment

Bug#716994: transition: kdevelop 4.5

2013-09-07 Thread Andreas Cord-Landwehr
Hi, all four sources have been
successfully uploaded to unstable.

Greetings,
Andreas

Bug#716994: transition: kdevelop 4.5

2013-07-15 Thread Andreas Cord-Landwehr
Package: release.debian.org
Severity: normal
User: release.debian@packages.debian.org
Usertags: transition

Hello,

I would like to request a slot for the KDevelop 4.5 transition.
This transition should be pretty self-contained and involving only few
sources, basically all and only the ones requiring manual sourceful
upload from experimental to unstable.

The transition involves the following sources:
  kdevplatform
  kdevelop
  kdevelop-php
  kdevelop-php-docs

The SONAME bump is the usual one of the kdevplatform libraries:

* kdevplatform-dev, libsublime-dev (src:kdevplatform):
libsublime5 - libsublime7
kdevplatform5-libs - kdevplatform7-libs

kdevplatform and kdevelop are in experimental already.

Thanks,
Andreas

Bug#646207: libboost-graph-dev: Linking error with read_graphviz

2011-10-22 Thread Andreas Cord-Landwehr
Package: libboost-graph-dev
Version: 1.46.1.1
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

there is a linker problem when using read_graphviz as defined
in boost/graph/graphviz.hpp. The linker error is the following:

--- snip ---
g++ -Wall -pedantic -g  graphviz.cpp
/tmp/cccHnOax.o: In function `bool

A non linking example is already shipped with the boost debian packages as
/usr/share/doc/libboost1.46-doc/examples/libs/graph/example/graphviz.cpp
or
/usr/share/doc/libboost1.46-doc/examples/libs/graph/example/read_graphviz.cpp

This actually looks quite similar to closed bug
http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=326089
for Boost 1.33.

as described in Ubuntu Bug #446578:

The Ubuntu guys also prepared some patches. It would be great to have
them included in the Debian packages, too.

 Oh, you mean gdb, not gdm :)

   After this the Xorg process was
  gone. I assume the gdm does not kill any processes it is attached to?

 No. gdb catches the process before it dies because of this SIGABRT. When
 you detach gdb, the process behave as if gdb wasn't there, i.e. it dies
 from SIGABRT for real.

  After considering when these crashes do occured, I think they can be
  related to the new kwin effects for KDE 4.2. Especially on switching the
  kde-desktops, loosing scope of window aso.

 I doesn't justify the missing backtrace.

 I am puzzled...

 with this mail I send you the requested X.err and X.out (as described
 above). X.err really consists of a bunch of errors and also fatal errors.

 Did the server actually crash here? Did you check the end if Xorg.0.log
 before restarting X?

 Hi, the problem is, that I couldn't switch back to console to save the
 Xorg.0.log. And also my Knoppix live discs are too old to recognize my
 harddisc.I'm just getting a new live disc to rescue the Xorg.0.log from
 beeing overwritten. But it will take some time.
 The current files I just sent you, I got by crashing the server -
 server freezes - computer restarted by power-switch (nothing else
 worked..) - got the files after reboot. Now, when starting with startx
 instead of gdm the X-Server does not reboot automatically anymore but
 simply freezes.

 Do you have ssh access to the machine? If so, launch X as usual, login
 through ssh from another machine, and run
 gdb -p $(pidof X)
 inside the ssh session. When X crashes, enter bt full in gdb and send
 us the output.

Hallo Brice,

here is the requested backtrace. After quit of gdm the X-server-process
was really gone.

Greetings,
  Andraes
