I have this problem if I use XIM mode (I must export
XMODIFIERS="@im=SCIM").

A workaround is to use GTK_IM mode (which doesn't need export
XMODIFIERS="@im=SCIM") for gtk applications.

I have in my ~/.xsession (I use xdm):
# SCIM
#
# XIM mode
#export XMODIFIERS="@im=SCIM"
#export GTK_IM_MODULE=xim
#
# GTK_IM mode
export GTK_IM_MODULE=scim
#
scim -d

This happens to me, but only when using XIM mode (need export
XMODIFIERS="@im=SCIM").
No problem if I use GTK_IM mode (without export XMODIFIERS="@im=SCIM").

I tested this solution.
But it works only when using scim's English/European or SmartPinyin
IMEngine (I must check
SCIMSetup/IMEngine/GlobalSetup/EnglishKeyboard/EnglishEuropean, then
Ctrl+Space to active it.).

It doesn't work with the default English/Keyboard (that is the keyboard
just after starting a X session).

I know why this problem now.

In french, we use text like this : Vérifier l'orthographe
In the file /usr/share/dokuwiki/inc/lang/fr/lang.php
I had
$lang['spell_start'] = 'Vérifier l\'orthographe';
$lang['spell_stop']  = 'Reprendre l\'édition';

I changed this to
$lang['spell_start'] = 'Vérifier orthographe';
$lang['spell_stop']  = 'Reprendre édition';
Now I can use aspell button.

So the use of \' in dokuwiki for produce the text ' is a problem.
I'll also write to dokuwiki mailing list for help.

I don't know.

I installed the scim and scim-gtk2-immodule version 1.4.1-1 (powerpc).
This removed scim-chinese 0.4.2, and I could run synaptic without
problem.

scim 1.4 needs the new IM engine scim-pinyin (scim-chinese renames to
scim-pinyin after 0.4.2) which is not yet in unstable. I installed
scim-pinyin 0.5.91 from source.
Now scim and synaptic work fine without problem.

Thanks for your help,

I have this file. I don't use Debian kernel-image packages because I
want "suspend to ram" (iBook G4).

I have the same problem (ibook powerpc).

As a workaround, I put
noembed=1
in ~/.mplayer/mplayerplug-in.conf

Sorry. I am not admin of that print-server. Can't set LogLevel to debug

Thanks.
I build a powerpc package on my etch from your source.

Still get the same problem :
connect a usb disk, OK, /media/sda1 --> remove the disk, no /media/sda1
--> re-connect a usb disk, no /media/sda1

To get ivman working again, two options:
 * connect a usb disk --> umount the disk --> remove the disk
 * connect a usb disk --> remove the disk --> re-connect a usb disk -->
restart ivman

So ivman can't do "auto-umount".
If you think this is normal, you can close this bug.

I am not sure if this is related with my problem of displaying chinese

libfontconfig1_2.3.2-7_powerpc.deb,
libfontconfig1-dev_2.3.2-7_powerpc.deb).

Sorry, my problem is not libpango1.0-0.
I think it's a problem with fontconfig-config or fontconfig in unstable.
(Downgrading to libfontconfig1_2.3.2-7_powerpc.deb
libfontconfig1-dev_2.3.2-7_powerpc.deb fontconfig_2.3.2-7_powerpc.deb
fontconfig-config_2.3.2-7_all.deb solves my problem.)

Bug#365248:

2006-04-29 Thread B. Zhang
I have a similar problem: a wireless card can be used by two drivers
bcm43xx (eth1) and bcm43xx-d80211 (wlan0), see
http://bcm43xx.berlios.de/ .
Add DRIVER=="bcm43xx" for the first one solve my problem.

Thanks,
Bin

Bug#357773: a wishlist for gkrellm

2006-03-26 Thread B. Zhang
Hi,

I noticed that another wishlist
http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=347235 has been sent to
you.

The patch works very well for my ibook G4.
Do you want to include this support for reading apple/pmu sensors ?

Thanks,
Bin
